Chez EDGAR, un restaurant moderne haut de gamme, on vous propose une cuisine de brasserie traditionnelle américaine et des cocktails concoctés de façon authentique. I mentioned dining was for a special purpose! Birthday and anniversary celebration! It went unnoticed and placed us by the entry. Food selection is limited and taste was ok. This will not be a repeat dining for us!

Very underwhelming service and overall poor experience. We choose Edgar as we were attending a show in the hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I indicated it was her birthday in the reservation and there was no acknowledgement. No welcome to the restaurant or overview of the menu. Service was very slow and when I asked another waiter to help order drinks I was told we had to wait for our waiter. 20 minutes later our waiter finally came back to check on table. No one seemed interested in providing any level of service. Side dishes didn’t come out with entrees and we had to cancel them. Overall I wouldn’t recommend unless you need a drink at the hotel. Too many better options in the area.

The Brussels sprouts were super delicious. My steak frites was not good - they gave me a hunk of steak with tons of connective tissue in it, which made it very difficult to eat. I ended up leaving 3/4 of it on the plate. The fries that came with it were amazing though! I got the "bathtub gin" which was pricey and then they didn't have the special "bathtub" that it's supposed to be served in. It was delish though. Overall I'd say the restaurant was pretty overpriced and not as fabulous as I wanted it to be, given the location.

This was a really poor experience. I informed the waiter I was gluten free and we ordered the cheese plate asking for the bread/crackers on the side. When the plate arrived, it looked like what I would fish out of the back of my refrigerator for an at home “girl dinner” with a paltry selection of cheese, jam slapped on the plate, and a handful of almonds in the center, with the bread right on top of everything. We then ordered the sweet corn soup which was lukewarm and a salsa verde kind of texture with chunks. I asked the waiter if the fries were not marked GF because of cross-contamination in the same fryer or if they were actually breaded. He assured me they were only cross contaminated, not breaded, but were clearly breaded when they arrived which was confirmed upon asking another server, so I could not eat them. We had the chicken as the main and it was ok, but the polenta had chunks stuck together and again the dish was not hot. There was also a severe language barrier with every waiter we interacted with and they clearly did not understand the questions or requests especially around gluten free. Even without alcohol and splitting an entree, the bill was over $120. I’m also fairly sure the mocktail I ordered did in fact contain alcohol despite specifying that it was a mocktail. This was actually one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in years.

So few places for breakfast in DC. Of all the hotels, this is the best.

Burgers were ok Asked for medium Got well We just ate them anyway Because the server was no where to be seen for over 25 minutes Tried flagging someone down to get our server another 10 minutes asked for check 15 minutes later

Food and service was excellent!! A great place for a date night. Breakfast was yummy. I highly recommend it!

Place was nice enough. Service was great. Food was really bad. Steak was chewy. Sauce was too sweet and there was too much of it.
