The meal was ok, Tempura Arctic Char was the best course but the entree - Crispy Skin Salmon - was more soggy than crispy. Our three courses came out one after the other in such quick succession we had finished within an hour and therefore felt kind of rushed :-( Had been really looking forward to the meal as a date night for the week, but it wasn't very memorable sadly.
Not worth the dime. It’s Vancouver — you get twice amount the food of the same quality or better under 60 bucks.
Rob a bank next time.
Never disappoints! Every time I eat at Edible Canada I am thrilled by the creative menu for reasonable prices - a menu that can include poutine and local seafood and local meats and seasonal veggies prepared with care, ingenuity and attention to detail.
Great Duck Poutine!
Great Bison Burger!
Would definitely go again
A great restaurant in the heart of Granville Island, super for out of town guests and special occasions. Supper entrees were delicious, with friendly and efficient service. Somewhat disappointed in the limited number of meat dishes at a more affordable price. Otherwise, all good!
Awesome Christmas Eve brunch following a play at Granville island. Wine list was on point and servers recommendations were excellent. Also very courteous to the kids and baby.
I just wish tea was served in a teapot instead of in a cup.
Loved the local food and wine served here. Great little shop for intesting and local gifts attached to restaurant. Handy to Arts club theatre.
Just lovely. Seasonal, fresh local produce cooked with flair and a great ambience.
Went there before a show at Arts Club. Everyone rushes to leave before show time. We waited 20 minutes to pay bill. Restaurant seemed understaffed and unable to cope with rush.
The restaurant tries too hard to convey a "Canadian Menu" for foreign tourists. Much of the food (elk, bison, and even poutine) are rarely eaten by Canadians. In the end the menu seemed limited (even a green salad was not on the menu), and uninteresting. Not great value, with a bit of a tourist premium on the prices.
The wine list is all BC and quite extensive, although not all that well selected.
We booked this restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner on Granville Island. The food was excellent and we would recommend it to our friends and associates.
Delicious brunch! Do not miss the French toast! Honestly the best I’ve ever had. Good options for vegetarians and vegans. Not a LOT of options but the ones they have are delicious.
Food and service were very good. Atmosphere.... not great for quiet conversation. Seemed like wait staff was running around. Frenetic.... Not really relaxing.
I had a business lunch here a couple years ago. It was one of those ones where there's so much talking you don't notice things like the food and service. This week I went twice and both times impressed my guests and hit the spot for a crummy, rainy Vancouver lunch. It's a short walk from the office so it's now my go to business lunch.
It was a nice place to have a weekday brunch/lunch! I really like the space, and the food is good too. One of the best spots to eat in Granville island- great location, great size, great vibe.
We can not speak English, but clerks were kind and polite
Outstanding service. Good came very quickly and was excellent
A special get together with old friends with very limited choices for lunch - mainly breakfast items. It was quite noisy and not very comfortable. There is no view. The washroom entrance was blocked by a ladder up to some sort of storage area. The food was passable and the prices were reasonable. However, I won't return for this kind of event. Might be better in the evening.
Service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy this day (Sunday brunch). Our server was kind, but wasn't able to be as attentive due to having a few big tables. I had to get up to ask for a few things. The food here is really good though!
Been there several times - never been disappointed.
Went with a girlfriend and her 3 year old (and mine) for brunch before the Charlie Brown Christmas play at Carousel theatre. The little girls shared the challah French toast with berries and they loved it. She and I had eggs and ours were great too. They provided crayons and colouring paper and the service was prompt and friendly. Bathrooms super clean too. Loved it!
Love the huge mugs of good coffee for Sunday brunch on a rainy weekend.
My best friend and I were looking to try something new and found Edible Canada on Yelp so we decided to try it out. We had a great time! Our server was absolutely excellent and gave great recommendations on our food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to others and I quite enjoy that your bill gets you 10% any purchase in the market in the back of the restaurant. Will be coming back soon with more friends soon!
The people beside us had their food in about 30 seconds...however I'm not paying Edible Canada prices which are high - to be rushed out the door in 30 minutes. We ordered one dish at a time so that we could stay 1 1/2 hours - and enjoy this part of our evening before we went across to the theatre. It felt insulting that we had to game the restaurant like this.
The beet salad was good but the vinaigrette wasn't perfectly balanced. The cod was tasty. The french fries were soft and mushy instead of crisp. The brownie was good. Wine choices were nice and not unreasonably priced.
A much nicer room for summer then winter.
If you're on Granville Island not a terrible choice but overpriced and only so so.
The food was excellent, very tasty. I ate at Edibles for brunch, it had a smaller selection for brunch in the best way possible. The breakfast was superb (11/10) and the hot chocolate had a hint of cinnamon and was very tasty; it tasted like Christmas exploding in my mouth, the lights, trees, cookies. My friend ordered the mango passionfruit soda and it took her back to her trip in Cancun, a slap in the face of tropical paradise. The ambiance was very hipster, modern, cool, chill, chillaxing, you name it. Although my experience was the best day in my life, it was a little bit expensive for my financial situation.
Love this place! Friendly staff, they are very helpful with gluten-free options. The food is really good, especially the Pumpkin Cheesecake!
Good, but has lost a bit of its lustre from previous visits. Food was tasty and enjoyable but nothing that would warrant another trip or recommendation. Ambiance and restaurant is very nice. Staff was attentive and efficient but not all that friendly. Overpriced for what it is in the winter. Advice - wait for their patio in the summer.
Excellent Canadian cuisine & BC wines. Great staff & fresh ingredients. For quiet conversation, dinner is the best time.
Good food, great service- a little pricey for breakfast but very yummy!
Fantastic meal- efficient service. Lovely fresh ingredients.
Service was really slow. Took an hour and a half to share one entree! And red wine was served really warm.
Fantastic place for a family dinner with exceptional food choices. Very well enjoyed by all ! Started with great Caesers and ended with sharing one piece of pumpkin cheesecake feature. Definitely recommend for an amazing meal .
Food was exceptional and the service from all the staff was exceptional as well.
Great food, good selection for all tastes. Lots of local wines. A little pricey for the size of the portions but great for an occasion.
We had reserved for 6:15 and came half hr early! Room was quite empty but were told we had to sit at a specific table out on the isle (by kitchen) which was very noisy and everyone passed by us. Asked him, but the waiter said the same. A few minutes later I watched a couple refuse their table beside us and get seated elsewhere! So we asked the hostess to also move us and were moved to the back away from racket, very grateful ... but noise is an issue in this venue! Would consider this a negative if returning. Too bad because patio, avocado toast, wagu steak and salad were so amazing.
They phoned us and canceled our reservations. Never had that happen before in our lives. Will never go there.
Food ok but open kitchen looked cluttered and dirty. Staff seemed unhappy or not to care.
Menu items are on the pricy side, but taste really good. Drip coffee needs a huge improvement though.
This has been one of my favourite restaurants for the last few years as I attend Granville Island Stage as a season ticket holder. I am Celiac and love the gluten free/friendly options. However the menu and portion size has become more confusing and prices increase seemingly everytime we go. But the food has always been excellent until this last visit. I ordered a side grilled filet of salmon and was served a small thin tail end that was very over cooked in one part and cold and undercooked in the other (my guess is that it was frozen when it hit the pan). I would never serve the tail tip to a guest and certainly do not expect it in a restaurant, but to not cook it properly is unforgiveable. I did comment to my server but the manager did not do me the courtesy of coming over to apologize. And I was unwell for 48 hours so I am afraid Edible will get a miss for the rest of the theatre season.
Wild salmon and cauliflower/broccoli starter were out of this world. Server recommended great wine. Love this place.
