Beautiful day at Granville Island. Was disappointed to not have been seated outside for our ten year wedding anniversary, as it was a bit stuffy inside. Our server was excellent, giving us space to chat, but coming in with more drinks, food suggestions regularly. Food was good, though were not able to order the crab, as it was sold out. Overall a good memory that we will cherish.
This was my first visit for dinner (I've visited before for weekend brunch) and all of my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening! 3 of us ordered the summer vegetable curry which was the absolutely perfect dish for a slightly cooler rainy summer evening, while the others had the seafood hot pot and the kale and golden beet salad. We all found our dishes so delicious and loved the chill atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting this gem any time of day!
Was great as usual. New menu with new restaurant manager, we will miss Harriet, however it was very good on all fronts. Tuna poke and boar pastas were excellent.
Food was decent but the service was terrible. Not very attentive.
Disappointed in the food. Overcooked and dry salmon. Very small portion for a high price.
Not much variety on the menu for meals.
The food quality and taste is very good. It would be nice to have more choices on the menu.
As always, great!
We used to live on Vancouver Island, and would stop at Fanny Bay for the oysters. My wonderful woman loved them, again.
Myself? The vegetable curry missed the mark. Cayenne pepper does not equal curry. Next time I'll get the burger again. Or the elk if it's not tat tar .
Been here several times, always enjoy the cuisine. Particularly loved their zero proof non-alcoholic mango passionfruit sparkling drink!
I like the electric vehicle charging right outside.
Great food, interesting menu, Canadian sourced.
Meal came it was cold. Staff apologetic and corrected problem ASAP. Staff terrific
Nice hang out before seeing a show at the Arts Club; added in discount as a nearby restaurant to theatre was a nice perk!
I went to Edible Canada at the Market with some friends, the dishes we ordered were fresh and very tasty. I appreciate the variety of foods on the menu that fit many different diets. Our server was great, very personable and friendly. Thanks for the great meal!
It was a slightly expensive meal - partially because we opted to order a variety of dishes to share rather than individually. Food was solid; poutine was outstanding; turkey wings were just okay. As someone allergic to tree nuts, I am disappointed in their dessert menu. But overall a good menu, creative food, emphasis on local ingredients. I'm sure we'll be back; after we give our wallets a chance to recoup.
I wanted a Granville island location to meet out of town visitors and was wary of getting another overpriced low quality touristy experience. This place made me proud and excited to spend time with visitors. The reservation staff and the service was totally positive and professional, while the food was delicious enough to earn the slightly higher amount. More than satisfied!!!
Great spot for brunch or lunch on Granville Island. A gem in terms of Vancouver brunch spots because they open early AND TAKE RESERVATIONS! Lovely patio and great locally sourced and creative dishes.
Delicious as usual. And always like the fresh food and interesting dishes.
A little pricey and small portions for the price but tasty . Found one of our waitresses a bit “snitty.” Seemed irritated with our questions and was a bit short with us . Other staff were very nice though
We have eaten at Edible twice before, and find the food interesting and the ambience enjoyable. Our server, Lana was excellent - friendly, efficient and helpful. She added greatly to our enjoyable evening.
Ordered wild fish and chips and fish was very thick with deep fried coating and thin chewy cod fish.
Reserved a table was not told patio seating was available. Disappointing.
This is my second time eating there. Last time most of us had seafood and it was great. This time I took mostly vegetarian friends there and the food was underwhelming. My veggie risotto had a nice texture, but was way too salty. My friends did not rave about the veggie pasta and the veggie curry, either. The one who had the salmon was happy about her choice.
I took my sister to dinner and a play for her birthday. The service was great and the food was superb. A great place to go before going to watch a play at the Arts Club.
I would go here more often if I could buy some of my own wine here to share with my guests.
Most of the food was great! The elk tartar wasn't appealing. It tasted only of Grainy Dijon mustard which was hard to swallow after several bites.
Service was not the best but to be fair it was super busy 😊
We visited from the UK recently and this was our fave place to eat. Very welcoming and family friendly. The food was delicious too and the range of craft beers was awesome.
Perfect table and very prompt service. Excellent attention to detail by staff. We all had 'brunch' type meals...the salmon benny was perfect! The 'smashed potatoes' were absolutely melt-in-your mouth delicious. Where can we get the recipe??!!
Great food and selection.
First time diner at Edible Canada. It had been recommended to me by a friend and I can see why- delicious!! I was dining alone, but the hostess encouraged me to sit outside. So glad she did. I sat facing some live street music. Their happy hour menu is fantastic! The waiter recommended the 33 Acres beer and now, I will too! I paired it with their fish and chips- a delicious combo. Very fresh! The service is fantastic. I recommend making a reservation or arrive early (I did both).
I had been there several times as I practice yoga and do my weekly shopping at GI.
I wanted to bring my husband and have a lovely dinner date which turned out to be a very disappointing experience due to an unhappy waiter that should probably not be in the service industry. Let’s say he showed no interest in informing us of the menu, when I asked him about a dish we were thinking of ordering he said “sure”, never once came and checked on our meal and removed my wine glass without any inquiry as to whether I wanted another glass... I spoke to the manager which seemed surprised about him yet seemed to care about our experience. Unfortunately this waiter had a chance to perhaps apologize or end our experience perhaps with an I’m sorry about your experience, yet he was somehow offended we had complained. Sadly it will be my last visit to Edible Canada.
Being genuinely engaged with the customers is bar none the foundation of customer service and as a business you can not afford to have people working for you that lack that very basic skill.
Even though it was a Stat Holiday (Victoria Day) & the Bistro was chock-full, the Girls at Reception were wonderful & efficient. Our Server was very friendly & came by to check on us at good intervals.
The food was Top Notch! We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our smoked salmon bennies & wagyu beef & eggs. Best of all my 8 month young grandson was happily settling into the hustle bustle fun ambience.
We shall be returning. ThankYou for a very pleasant experience!
Had a great time at edible canada. The food was amazing! Our server checked up on us very frequently. Good experience
Bruch is great, fresh ingredients, well prepared good spot to have brunch
All dishes enjoyed by our party of four were outstanding in flavor, fresh ingredients, preparation and presentation. The service was exemplary, attending and anticipating needs without obtrusiveness. We were in complete agreement that whenever we are in Vancouver it is imperative to eat at least one and hopefully more meals at Edible Canada.
Mother’s Day lunch...food was great, service was awful. Food took 1.5hrs
Went for mother's day brunch and experienced very poor service. I found the staff to be neither friendly nor particularly attentive.
I would not recommend edible. The food was forgettable and the service was surprisingly bad. We arrived at 11am for brunch and waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Our server was very rude and clearly hated his job. The bus boy was pleasant but incompetent. I would definitely not go back.
Fabulous selection of food and the service was amazing. Not your typical meat and potatoes place but can get a great hamburger with the best french fries ive ever had! The mushroom kale salad and Brussel sprout appie were so yummy.
Everything was excellent! 10/10...would definitely recommend.
