I hate to leave this review but do so in order to maybe help future diners. This may truly be a great restaurant in other times. But do not go during bottomless brunch unless you are there for the bottomless cocktails. I went with a teen just to grab a bite and that restaurant is insane during bottomless brunch. The large groups genuinely seemed to be having a great time. But the service suffered from the servers just having too much to do, and the food was, to be generous, lukewarm. May be more fair to say room temperature. Again, I think we just maybe picked the wrong time. But, if you are hoping for piping hot fresh made to order food, I would avoid the weekend brunch times.
Hostess was very gracious and seated us early, she is awesome!
Outstanding! Food and service were phenomenal. Our server was very attentive, helpful, and super cute (not important, but I'm just saying). Definitely visiting again!
Great food, excellent staff, the brunch did was amazing!
It was my daughters birthday! Service was good. We had a few waiters helping our party of 10. The food was ok and for the price I thought it should’ve been better. But will comeback again!
The food was great. We did the bottomless brunch option and enjoyed all of the plates that we were offered.
tacos were bland. hi top tables and chairs uncomfortable
Food was average. Funny this place doesn’t offer coffee or tea to have with dessert !!
Good value for brunch
I really like going to this place. The vibe is good and the food is AMAZING! I keep coming back to this place because is a solid 100/100 overall 💯💯💯
We made a last minute reservation for brunch on Nov. 13 and then had to add someone else to our party on the spot. The gracious hostess was friendly and accomodating and so was our server, Daniel. $39.00 for unmimited tapas and bottomless brunch drinks - 4 drinks to choose from - is a great deal! The food and drinks were delicious and the ambiance was lively and dynamic.
Good food, but the drinks were mediocre and the margaritas much too sweet.
Love this place and the food is great
El Centro is feeling run down. The staff was terrific. Very accommodating with our request to move our seating, very responsive, and friendly. The place doesn't smell good, and and it felt over crowded for a pandemic. The cocktails tasted like they'd been poured from a big bucket, not individually made. The food was pretty good.
The food came out cold, every course, even after we let them know. We ordered guacamole and it took 45 minutes to come out. I would not recommend for brunch!
Great food and even better service. We had a waitress by the name of AJ and she was awesome. Very attentive and made our experience so great.
Undercooked eggs, unseasoned food, mediocre brunch cocktails.
Easily the best Mexican food in Washington D.C. The servers are full of energy and very helpful.
Great service. Good food. Prices are reasonable. Good portions for hungry people.
All you can eat brunch was excellent. Good food, very good service, drinks were constantly refilled. Walked out full and tipsy, would do again.
Best happy hour
The food was very good but the table location was awful. We sat between an open door to the outside and the steps to the kitchen. Wait staff delivering meals whizzed by us in all directions the entire time. The lights above the table were not working so we were in the dark as well. Not very pleasant. Definitely ask to live if you get that table. We should have.
Dear Judy - I’m so sorry we let you down. We’ve taken your feedback and the feedback of other reviewers to heart. We’re in the process of making some major changes, including moving that table and checking on our lights. We appreciate the feedback you have given us and we hope that you will give us another chance in the future. Thank you, The El Centro Team
There was a RAT on the patio that came by numerous times. Also, the server took 15min to come to our table after being seated and left through the rear patio door many times.
The options were very limited for brunch. The flavor was bland for Mexican food. The drink was pre-mixed and bitter. For $39 it was not worth it..
Brunch menu options were very disappointing. Half of the table had food restrictions or didn’t eat sunny side up eggs. Service was great; however the food really put a damper on experience. Also took really long to get our plates.
Went here for a birthday brunch with my girls and it was blast! Bottomless brunch is a GREAT deal, with such a variety of delicious mexican cuisine to enjoy from. Atmosphere was great as well. Would def recommend and will be coming back soon.
Their brunch menu if it’s not bottomless has 9 things on it. This should be advertised much more, especially prior to making reservations.
We went to dance and really enjoyed the music. However, the drinks were extremely disappointing. Their house tequila is very poor quality (Sauza), especially for a Mexican restaurant. And the drinks are super watered down. I didn't once see the bartender measure the shot of tequila he was putting into our drinks. I know experienced bartenders can estimate but the two bartenders they had working the night we went, were way off. The food was fine. Decent guacamole.
Disappointed in the service! Made reservation online with Open Table requesting to sit outside several weeks ago. Shortly after making the reservation I called and spoke to a manager and he guaranteed an outdoor table since I specifically mentioned the contining pandemic. However upon arrival tonight we were not given an outdoor table although one was available outside in the front of the restaurant. Even spoke with the manager and he could not accomodate us which is unfortunate. Food is decent and this was not our first time there but we will not return.
It was really nice. Mexican food with an umph
Drinks were poor. All 4 margaritas we tried were watered down and food was not evenly cooked and bland. Asked for medium well steak and it came "medium rare". Notified staff, they did bring me a second steak and it still was not what I asked for. It ended up being well done and toughh. Staff did not bring me proper silver ware to use to eat steak. Presentation was awful. After a long flight back in this was not the quality of service I expected
I was charged twice for brunch
they have completely changed their brunch menu and the food is disgusting.
Friendly servers, bottomless brunch was a great time. Highly recommend!
Miss the old brunch menu, but still a reasonable brunch.
We had a reservation for outside dining. When I got there, I saw tables on sidewalk. That would have been fine, but it was loud and lots of people waking by. Pleasantly surprised when they led us upstairs to the outdoor patio area. Nice ambiance. Good music playing. Our server was amazing, friendly and helpful. He made our dinner even more special.
We also arrived for our reservation early and they took us no problem. Would definitely come back if we are in Georgetown.
Great food. Great service.
Service was good, staff were nice.
Food was average at best.
Guacamole: not well seasoned — lacking salt. Avocados were good quality though!
Al Pastor tacos - not well executed. There was barely any pineapple and the meat were big chucks vs. nicely shredded pork. Not authentic.
I came here for Bottomless Brunch and everything was great except for the margaritas. They were very weak :( probably made with a bottom shelf tequila.
The staff was amazing!!!
