great neighborhood find
very friendly staff with great service
read menu first, not a very friendly diet friendly spot, but great comfort food
Overpriced for lunch items compared to what you get. The sandwich and burger didn't really stand out.
Service was great. Food arrived hot and was tasty. Prices appear comparable to similar venues.
The food was amazing! I asked the server for a recommendation and the Half Rack of ribs, pulled pork and sausage with mashed potatoes was to die for. I also had a side of Mac and cheese which was wonderful. The service was impeccable and the staff was incredible. I will spread the word about EPIC throughout the DMV. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who is a fondly.
Always great food and great service.
Service was extremely slow. The food was mediocre but I did enjoy the lemon drops
Side items grossly overpriced!
Very nice experience. Me and two co-worker’s went first time there. We definitely would go back
Food was great. Service was great. Prices were very good. They had Silver Oak wine (2015) for $95. A great price for Silver Oak.
Awesome food. Try the wings and Ceasar salad.
Get the smoked prime rib. It is OMG delicious.
Their specialty cocktails are tasty and go down easy.
Mediocre food for the price.
Food was superb. Service was unmatched—- by pre-COVID standards. In this staffing crisis, simply unbelievably great. Mgmt came out to check on things. Good COVID measures- not oppressive, but safe. Great experience. 10/10 recommend!
Stopped here for lunch today while visiting the mall. It wasn't very busy, so we were seated right away in the outdoor dining area. We had a very friendly waitress who explained the drinks and took our order right away. I had the Burnt Ends Mac & Cheese and it was really really good. The meat was very tender and the BBQ sauce with the m&c was excellent. I also had a Blueberry lemonade, it was very tart and not much alcohol, so it was only ok. The prices were within reason and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth another visit.
Great service. Really enjoyed the entrees. Reasonably priced drinks!
Excellent service and food. Definitely going back.
First visit to Epic and loved it! Had the Smoked Brisket Poutine - decadent and delicious.
Smoked prime rib. Friends had never had so
Had to take them
This place has delicious food, the best bread pudding Iv ever tasted in my life. The staff have always been friendly, attentive, and efficient. My only qualm with this place is the length and narrow feeling of the restaurant. I prefer larger dining rooms, and this is just one long row of dining spots.
At the same time, the length and narrow shape of the restaurant contributes to the not super loud ambiance, and gives it a slightly more private feeling.
Staff was really friendly and not pushy to order, food was delicious, and it wasn't crowded at all.
The food was mostly delicious. We selected from the Restaurant Week menu. The pig rolls and ribs were excellent, and brisket was yummy but Mac and cheese was ok. And the huge slice of bread pudding was oh so yummy. The first round of drinks were good but was a bit disappointing. The service started off great. Our waitress was very friendly but as the meal progressed, she took longer and longer to bring things. And when she got another table across from ours, she’d bring us things she held in her hands while she talked to them.
The kitchen was completely backlogged and we had to wait much more than usual to have our main g ce ourse and deserts. For a first time, that was not very conducive to come back….
Food and table service was great for brunch in Restaurant Week. However, the kitchen was very slow. Main course took an hour to be served.
We went to Celebrate Restaurant Week! And Epic Smokehouse was an Epic Decision and Experience!!
The food was absolutely delicious. Mark, our server, was friendly and checked in on us continually to make we didn’t need anything. The only item that was just okay, was the chocolate molten cake. It was just a bit bland. The texture was great, it just was missing a depth of flavor. It is not an inexpensive place but the portions are a nice size and worth it.
We will definitely be going back again!
Enjoyed this place
The food was absolutely delicious. My waiter, Mark, provided excellent service. I will certainly be going back!
There were cobwebs in the corner, and a bug crawling on the wall near our table. We didn’t detect the bug and cobweb until after our food was served. When we informed the staff, they were very lackadaisical about it. They laughed and made jokes … ‘oh, it’s just a bug’!!!! I was quite annoyed!!! Management gave us, a party of three, one free appetizer for a future visit for our discomfort at having a bug crawling on the wall next to where we were eating!!!! 🤨
The food was great and our sever was fantastic! She was very nice and helpful. We got together for Restaurant Week and we just enjoyed ourselves with lots of laughs and stories. Definitely going back again soon.
Solid BBQ. Restaurant week is always nice here. Brisket is my favorite but the Chicken sandwich is very good (spicy but not too spicy). Cocktails are nice. Price matches quality. Excellent choice for casual or special night.
Service was only given one star, however Epic is suffering the same inability to hire as are all other restaurants. They were short-staffed in the front and really understaffed in the kitchen. But they did their best and we appreciated and tipped well. Food is very good and has been consistent across multiple visits. I felt sorry for the staff, but two and a half hours for a three course restaurant week meal is just too much. Please do go, and please be patient, they are doing the best they can in the situation.
The atmosphere was great, however the food was bland in my opinion.
Always interested in trying BBQ when we visit towns. Epic Smokehouse had great pulled pork and burnt ends (brisket). Servers in the bar and the restaurant were friendly and helpful.
Epic is one of my favorite places to go to when I am in the DC area. Never have had a bad experience.
Waitress was excellent.
Great food. Solid service. Larger portions when dining in versus carry-out. Pricey.
Denise was a great server!
The food was so salty it was painful to eat and the waitresses were rude!
The food was good but not as good as it had been previously.
Food came out super fast and was decent. Service mostly left me alone.
