I've been going to Volos for years, this time I took a few team members for a Christmas lunch. They hadnt been before and they loved it! Pear martini was DEElish! For appetizers we shared the saganaki, the 3-dip platter and grilled calmari. The dips are so flavourful, calamari not chewy, cooked to perfection. Mains were also a hit, we cleaned our plates. Lamb shank, always so tender, sea bass, salmon, all had different sides and were sooo tasty and fresh. Love the mediterranean feel of the place, it can get a little noisy, we had a big group sitting next to us. Nothing struck our fancy for dessert, so we passed but were delightfully full from our meals. The service always sets them apart. We had Andrew, who was an absolute joy from start to finish. From highlighting the menu and wine choices, he made our experience that much better!

Had a lovely dinner at Volos! The dips were incredible, especially the spicy feta, tzatziki and hummus. The flaming cheese was a hit and I loved the braised lamb shank! Service was great and I can’t wait to return.

Great ambiance and service. Had a special request for seating which was accommodated. Meal quality was great, however, portion sizes were smaller relative to other Greek restaurants at the same price point, hence a lower score on value. If you are looking for ambiance and good service for a special occasion, and not concerned as much about value in terms of portion size, Volos delivers.

Volos has been our "go to" restaurant before each ballet/opera performance for some years now. I always have the same meal - saganaki followed by the salmon main course - because both have been consistently excellent. Last night, however, the main course was disappointing. There was very little spanakorizo, and the salmon was just "okay." All definitely edible, but not what I was looking forward to based on previous visits. Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but I will unfortunately think twice before returning.

Excellent, authentic Greek cuisine, even some less well known dishes. Some have a more modern twist (the kalamari is excellent, but a little different than you’d find in Greece). Wine list features some good Greek wines.

Having been to Volos many times, it was wonderful to experience the hospitality and wonderful food once again. I will, however caution visitors to the restaurant who are trying to get there by car - it is impossible!!! Due to the very heavy construction and traffic, the only way to get there is either by foot or transit ……. And that’s challenging as well. Just pack a lot of patience.

Volos is an elegant Greek restaurant but do not confuse it with a traditional Greek restaurant. It is much more interesting and more continental in scope. It offers a variety of well prepared fish, meat, calamari, salads, desserts with a Greek flair. It is one of my favourite restaurants before going to a performance at the Four Seasons.

First time to Volos and was very impressed. Since closing of Penelope’s, I’ve been looking for a quality Greek restaurant in the downtown core, and feel my wish has been granted. Will definitely return.

Was given a high top seat, but I reserved a standard table…got there at 5pm so there was no one at the restaurant, I’m not sure what that was about. Also only given 1:45 mins vs the general 2 hour limit. Service by the bartender was great. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food, but my grilled calamari was a little undercooked.

I returned to this restaurant again this year. We had a group of eight again. In each case everyone enjoyed the various items they ordered. The quality of the food, presentation, and service were outstanding. I will be back again to try more of the memorable items on the menu.

Service was excellent. We were pressed for time (arrived late and had tickets for a show). We were out in time. Appetizer servings were small but bread basket was refilled. Food was hot and delicious, just more expensive than other Greek restaurants, $21 for a 9 ounce glass of Greek wine.

I booked for 2 couples at 6pm ahead of a TSO Concert at 8pm. The food was excellent and as someone with Celiac Disease & a Seafood Allergy, I can tell you that the waiter was very attentive with my dietary restrictions and took the time to ensure everything was safe for me. All 4 of us had incredible meals! As time went on, the restaurant got busier and I can see that I should have booked earlier than 6 pm as our Waiter was stretched to the max with all the tables by the time we were finishing. Unfortunately it took a very long time to get our bills and it wasn't split (2 couples). Then the waiter didn't have time to do that and suggested we just half it. Although we agreed, it was even longer to get the machine and pay. We were rushed at the end. Book lots of time if you're on a time schedule!

We celebrated my wife's birthday with 14 people. We were very impressed with the exceptional staff Yan and Alex who ensured each of our guests were well taken care of. Maria is an excellent manager who was very responsive and compassionate to our requests. The food is exceptional and I personally believe they have the best lamb shank in the city!

The food here is excellent, and the prices very reasonable for the quality. There is a brief but excellent list of wines by the glass (we recommend the Assyrtiko) and the service is friendly and obliging. The atmosphere is pleasantly bustling. Try the fisherman's stew or the warm seafood salad.

Great classic Greek restaurant in the middle of the financial district. Food was quite tasty but definitely on the pricier side vs comparable options in the Danforth. Great service and a nice relaxing setting. We enjoyed the lamb leg very much.

They should offer the entrées from the pre-theatre menu as stand alone items also without gouging you for the full price for all three items!!!
