Tried Extra Virgin for the first time with an associate from out of town. Extremely disappointed. We both got a Ceasar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken on both was so dry and tough we couldn't eat it. I did mention this to our server who offered to have them re-done but due to time constraints we declined. Expected a lot more from this place.

We had a lovely date night in a hightop by the bar. We got to enjoy the sunset and all the streetcars through the big windows. The homemade Ricotta was an unbelievable must try, this is what Ricotta is supposed to taste like!!! The Woodfire Grilled Shrimp were stellar and the churros melted in my mouth. For 2 diners, we got 2 'apps' 2 mains and a dessert-it was a large meal, akin to getting 2 mains at a typical American restaurant.

I love Extra Virgin. I love that they have liver, bone marrow, and unique dishes that you can not find often in the city. I wish that the server would have let us know that the two salads we ordered were pretty much identical. The description made it seem that one was more of a vegetable plate and the other a traditional salad but when they came out they were pretty much the same. I would have liked to get a side of vegetables or something. But that is okay! Thank you so much Extra Virgin!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat. Only drawback is the parking and road construction that means you must plan well ahead to find parking. Great food and menu and the service is friendly and caring.

I've been looking forward to dining here for so long. Our experience could not have been better! We started with the mussels & the hummus trio, which were both wonderful. Next, we had the shrimp & peaches and the smashed crispy potatoes with trout dip. Oh my! Can't wait to go back!

Happy hour is a fantastic deal at Extra Virgin. Many of their menu items are half off. Between two of us we started with the Ricotta & Bread and Steamed Mussels, then shared the fish and WOW it was the best meal I've had in a while. I can't wait to come back to try all of the menu items!

Extra Virgin has been one of my Kansas City favorites for over a decade but I finally had the opportunity to bring my mom last night. She has food allergies and our waitress was so helpful in choosing plates that she could have and checked for us on certain details that are important when you have a food allergy. Everything was delicious and my mom loved her experience. She says she can't wait to come back again. Extra Virgin has my favorite Happy Hour in KC. It can't be beat. I'll never stop craving the beet hummus, chickpea fries and roasted cauliflower. I'm looking forward to dining here many many many more times!

Every time we go back food is worse then last time. Stake was cooked really good but the seer on the stake had a burnt taste that was horrible on both stakes.

We adore this restaurant -- yes, it's a vibrant atmosphere but nothing detracts from innovative and delicious food and drink. We love bringing friends here who have never been or not been in a long time because they clamor to return with us. Service is always fabulous.

The food was nothing spectacular. The grilled corn was cold and just had chunks of feta. Bone marrow was a little bloody almost like it’s underdone. Our waitress was nice and great. It’s the food that wasn’t good. I won’t eat there again.

We regularly do happy hours in the metro. Been returning to Extra Virgin again and again since they first opened years ago. Excellent bartending. Inventive, delish plates. Engaging, attentive staff. Great vibe. We always leave E.V. with a big smile and a buzz.

Excellent food, just not too sure of wait staff’s use of foul words as part of his very friendly service. I hate to seem like a prude but I wish he would not have dropped the f bomb multiple times. Other than that, all was excellent!!
