F'Amelia is our very favourite neighbourhood restaurant. The food is fabulous, the staff are friendly and lovely and the restaurant feels like home
Great service and outstanding well prepared food. It had been too long since we were last there.
Interesting menu, decent wine list with knowledgeable advice, unique ambience and great service.
Beautiful wine list with a very educated waitress that really new her wine! Food was outstanding with phenomenal pricing! Fabulous atmosphere!
One of Toronto’s hidden Italian gems. Inventive dishes, rich in taste, and an amazing ambiance.
Great food - nice atmosphere - one of our favourites!
Great food and comfortable environment
Good menu, although more vegetarian choices would be appreciated. Very professional staff.
The service and food were great! Would definitely come again when in town!!
Pizza was excellent: wait staff - perfect; low noise; great ambiance. One of our fave restaurants.
Great detailed touches- both food and service. Too noisy for a quiet dinner.
Wonderful little gem. We came here for a date night, celebrating. My girlfriend is a massive fan of Italian... everything, so I surprised her with this venue, which she had never heard of. The food overall was very impressive; appetizers are outstanding, the rabbit was exceptional, and the pizza's are fantastic as well. Dessert: was also good, but the flavours could have been more creative and dynamic. Other than that, the food was absolutley incredible.
Service: Our server had a wonderful knowledge of the menu, which is something I really appreciated, as we hadn't been here before, and wanted to spend a few hundred dollars. He had a fabulous recommendation for wine, which was a amazing choice (we both work in high end restaurants with a large wine menu, so we were impressed) with a great price considering how good the quality of the wine was. We ordered some prosecco as well, and we were brought two of the same instead of one rose and one regular, however, this was easily forgotten when considering how smooth the rest of service was. Amazing job.
Overall: Will definitely be back again, and would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a cozy date night/ celebration, in a smaller venue, with great food, wine, and service.
We found it extremely noisy and loud seated next to the bar especially when we had requested a quiet spot. There were rooms father away from the bar that were much quieter
Was here a few nights ago and enjoyed both the service and the food!
Delish, fresh, whole foods. Friendly and fun service.
It was everything we hoped it would be -- casual yet classy ambiance, great food, enjoyable servers
I had not been for awhile. The food was sub-standard.
Food and atmosphere was good but the server wasn't that engaging. He introduces self but that was it
Our server said he’s been off for a while and was not familiar with some items on the menu. He lacked interest and enthusiasm. Not great service. Not terrible but indifferent.
Great service. Consistently good simple food.
Love this is place
This is one of our neighborhood restaurants. We want to embrace it as an alternative to the other neighbor hood places that are also good or great but very casual. However we struggle to return more than once a year. Don't get us wrong. The food is excellent, the staff are great, and there is a lovely patio. Our frustration is that most of the wine list is in excess of $100 a bottle, which seems odd for a casual spot. And while the food is delicious, at $28 on average for a pasta dish, the portions are very modest and if they do contain meat, there is less than 2 oz per dish. We are not looking for third rate massive portions but when you want a pizza for dessert after shared starters and a pasta dish, this does not seem right. The large charcuterie platter had delicious meat and cheeses, but again the portions were absurdly modest with 3 crackers for 4 people. We really want to love this place but it just seems to miss the mark on price point.
Probably he best Italian food I have had outside of Italy!
An all round wonderful place: wonderful foo, wine, service and ambiencel
We were very pleased with everything service, food, quality
Cabbagetown restaurant that does not disappoint. Good food and service.
Even though I had a reservation for 7:15 it was almost 8 by the time we were seated at our table. But once seated the food and ambience were fantastic.
Great authentic Italian neighborhood restaurant in a lovely little cottage with covered and uncovered patio. Seems to be a local haunt. Thoroughly enjoyed supper here. Would definitely return!
My friend and I came on a whim and it was a great choice. The service was excellent and the food was very good! Would come again in a heartbeat, we felt very welcome here, thanks for a lovely evening!!
We had a beautiful night here with the family. The staff were fantastic and the food was DELICIOUS! The wine was also fantastic. Thank you
very enjoyabe experience . Great food and excellent service . Relaxed atmosphere . Looking forward to a return visit
Wonderful food. Excellent staff. Enjoyed a fabulous wine with dinner. F’Amelia never disappoints!!
Awesomely delicious food and excellent service ..thanks for the great evening
This was my first time at F'Amelia and I will absolutely be back! We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely. We ordered the Octopus as an appetizer and the ladagna and linguine primavera for entrees. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly!
Next time I will be trying the pizza!
A great little spot off the beaten path in Cabbagetown.... outstanding food , service and ambiance.....have been several times and it consistently met all expectations...take a seat on the patio if you can...was there for a pre-wedding dinner with family & friends.....would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience
Not our usual experience at this community “Local”! Plusses first! Our hostess at F’Amelia is, and always has been the best! We were seated promptly, served water and wine orders taken. Received our appetizers in good time and they were very good (the octopus salad is yummy). Then, a strange thing happened! We had to wait for over 45 minutes plus for our mains, while the neighbouring two tables (who arrived after us - actually one while we were having our salads) received their mains well before us! No explanation or apology from our waiter! Our second round of wine orders were mixed up as well! My pizza was very good, but my wife’s evening “special” consisted of halibut on a risotto that tasted of nothing at all!! Not the type of experience One expects after dropping over $250 on a dinner!
Friendly, accommodative, knowledgeable wait-staff.
This was a disappointing meal. We went to F'Amelia and ordered from the Summerlicious menu. Our first disappointment was to be told by our waiter that one of the three appetizers was not available that evening, nor was the fish main course, nor was one of the three desserts listed. The food we ordered was fine, especially the scallop ceviche appetizer, which was very good. The arugula salad was fine, just a pile of arugula with a bit of cheese on top. Our main courses arrived while our appetizer plates were still on the table, and had to be moved aside to make room for our food. (We were also told to hold on to our cutlery.) One of the main course we ordered was the osso bucco. This is typically a solid piece of veal, around a bone. One of the highlights of this dish is eating the marrow from the bone. F'Amelia's version came with maybe 4 oz. of shredded meat piled on to the centre of the plate of polenta. Whatever you can call that dish, it wasn't osso bucco. Ordering dessert, we were now told that a second of the three desserts was no longer available. If we had walked in to the restaurant past 10pm on a busy evening, it would be completely understandable that much of the menu was no longer available. When you sit down a 8pm on a Saturday evening, this is not acceptable.
The restaurant had very loud rock music . Unusual to expect in an Italian restaurant.
Food was OK but expensive in relation to everything else about the restaurant. Wine seemed very expensive.
Service was good and in fact a bit too speedy.
OK for a neighbourhood restaurant but otherwise not very unique.
This is our favourite neighbourhood restaurant...always terrific ...food and service equally outstanding
