F’Amelia never disappoints. Food is top quality. Staff are intuitive courteous warm and efficient. They make this resto my top choice!
Great food and service.
A few excellent choices for our vegan crowd! The chef makes nut ricotta in-house, and it is divine on the pizzas in place of regular cheese. They can also make one of their risottos without cheese, and it was superb. One of their pastas has no egg. They were incredibly gracious both times I've been there with multiple people in our party being vegan.
F’Amelia has been our favourite neighbourhood restaurant for a long time and it continues to be so.
This place is all heart... you feel it when you walk in the door, and you taste it in the exceptional food. I would eat here every day if I could!!!!
We hadn't eaten at F'Amelia for a couple of years. We were completely disappointed. First the menu is really limited to pizza and pasta. We were hoping there might be a chicken or veal dish. I had calamari, which was not that great.
My partner Michael ( who used to work at Nobu) said his panzanetta salad was awful and the presentation was poor. It didn't look remotely like any he had had before. He said Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas are better than the pizza he had with you.
We were on the overflow patio, and it felt like it. It's not a pretty space and service was slow because of distance. They never bothered to turn on the patio lights which might have been a bit festive, and the place really needs some flowers or greenery.
Anyway. We won't be back.
The food, ambiance and service make F'Amelia an excellent choice for all discerning diners. And it's quiet allowing for conversation. Highly recommend it.
Great location and experience. The patio was intimate and well decorated. Food and wine were excellent.
Nice open airy space. Great for summer. Fresh ingredients, excellent food. Upscale casual.
Lovely atmosphere, great fresh food and creative menu. Service excellent. Perfect place
for a night out or a special occasion. Thanks F'Amelia.
Very nice place, good wine list and very good food.
The waitress was not in the best mood that day.
Great restaurant with really delicious classic Italian meal! Very friendly stuff and nice place in cabbage town, Toronto!
This is the second time we dined here.
Ordered 1 order of octopus appetizer to share between 2 people - loved it so much we ended up ordering another.
Apple risotto was very good, perfectly cooked rice and sexy presentation. Linguine was outstanding. While the Lemon tart was a perfect end to a great meal, the Granita was way too sweet for us.
Made reservation that morning requesting a patio table, unfortunately when we arrived matratee advised they do not reserve the patio tables which was a disappointment. They should because that was the primary reason for going. Next time we want to enjoy patio dinning we will reserve elsewhere.
Nice and intimate place, friendly stuff, maybe the best Italian food I had in Canada. Pizza from the stone oven was outstanding, especially the chef’s diavola. I highly recommend this place.
This is our neighbourhood favourite and never disappoints.....it soars on food, service and ambience.
very charming indoor-outdoor neighborhood restaurant. A little pricy but worth it.
A reliable welcoming atmosphere. A new menu item pasta dish which was excellent. Service was attentive and prompt.
Love the ambience at this tucked away little gem. Food, wine and service all excellent
Nice atmosphere, good service, very good food and portions! We were a group of 5 and had a great time. The tiramisu was amazing :) Overall highly recommended!
Never disappointed, always great service and excellent food.
Great pizza and 1/2 off wines over $100 on Wednesday.
Thanks so much. We had a lovely time.
This is our special neighbourhood restaurant ..always great
Fixed price menu. Tiny portions. Food ok. Very nice servers.
Noisy but good food
I was introduced to F'Amelia less than a month ago, and this was already my second visit.
First visit was the daily seafood feature: seared tuna, spicy risotto, olive tapenade - soooo good!
Second visit was the eggplant parmigiana pizza I'd intended to have the first time (before hearing about the tuna) - glad I stuck to my plans this time, also delicious, and generous enough for a take home slice left over.
Friends on both visits also enjoyed their meals.
Prices are quite reasonable.
Beer list needs some oomph; wine list is good... longer than the food menu!
Definitely worth repeat visits!!
We went mainly because of the very good rating in Toronto Life. They do really know how to cook pasta. Some of the portions were miniscule - - seared octopus starter has one medium tentacle and some salad for $17. One of us asked if she could get the scallops without cream -- after checking with the kitchen the server said they could substitute the risotto with tagliatelle. We got the 2 scallops with a few strands of pasta -- no vegetables and no bay scallops as was in the original dish, and the bill included a supplement for the change! Rabbit was very good, but gargati quite ordinary. Then, yes they could offer a non-dairy desert, lemon sorbet. We received a very plain dish of lemon granita -- what is often served between courses, and were charged $12, the same price as the baked/fruit desserts. (I suppose the pizzas are a better value here.) This is a casual place with four-star prices. Furniture is old, the room needs painting, and some of the white plates had black blotches showing their age.
Never fails. Reservations recommended. Beautiful summer patio. Delicious food, friendly competent service. Comfortable. Great value.
The food, especially the house-made salumi, was very good. The room was very noisy when we were there, which made conversation difficult. The wait staff have an "I'm too cool to pay attention to you" attitude, which marred the experience.
Great spot for a date. Bring someone you want to treat well, not for short pockets.
Food is always great at La F’Amelia, service was exceptional that night, the only thing is the noise. Otherwise it’s an superb experience
Excellent food. Some of the best Italian we have had in Toronto. However we felt the price was high for the casual/ neighbourhood style ambience. Would go back far more often if it was cheaper ($140 for two adults and two children).
As good as always. Took a friend who was visiting from out of town.
A very quaint restaurant with excellent food!
Too cold for the patio on this visit but will be back in nice weather for sure.
Excellent food in a very unique location in old Toronto. Great service and ambiance.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is on a cute street in Cabbagetown. The food was ok but nothing amazing. My scallop risotto was bad. The scallops were fine but the risotto was soupy and lacked flavour. I don't live very close to this place and I don't think I would go out of my way to visit again unfortunately.
Sat at the bar. Amazing service and food was 10/10
Great service! Delicious food and wine. A hidden gem .
F-Amelia is a nice little place tucked into a side street. Anything that is not on a main street and a little different, I like. It is in a house, so is unique, small and cozy. The bar is nice and small. The food and pizza was quite good and its nice to be able to see it cooked in the wood oven in the open. The staff were attentive and helpful. The wine list is excellent and varied. Tanya, the manager is excellent, organized and helpful. Would recommend
