Eggs & Bacon
Fantastic food and service. The staff here really take care of their customers and even made us new dishes to go as we were dining out on their patio when a rainstorm hit and our food got wet. We will definitely return in the future!
We had a wonderful time, our server on the patio was super cool and fun and attentive. The food was exceptional. We will definitely be back
We both ate mushrooms on toast for a Saturday brunch visit. Server did not explain the dish correctly. It came with egg when no egg was mentioned (I cannot eat eggs). The dish tasted like the previous days leftovers mixed with some mushrooms and placed onto toast.
Went for brunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. We waited a while for our reserved table but the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food as always was great, service was impeccable. They take good care of their customers and ensure a pleasant experience.
Very nice. Sat outside by their propane fire pit. All food was good, steak was just okay. But I would definitely go back.
Amazing fresh food exploding with delicious flavors. Tasty cocktails. Friendly and helpful service. Adorable spot. On the pricey side but really good quality so ok for a special day.
Really enjoyed Farmhouse tavern - excellent food, service and ambiance
We loved our experience at Farmhouse Tavern. Food was incredible, tea was really good and our server was friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately they do not have espresso or any coffee outside of drip coffee which would have been nice for brunch, and the outdoor fires had no propane which could have made it that much nicer. We'll definitely be back for dinner!
My new favourite restaurant! The service is amazing, and the bartender is a whiz with cocktails
Would’ve liked it to be allowed to book the patio! When we showed up we were just ushered indoors without being asked. Then when we asked to move, we were told it was first come first serve for the patio only- even though we were one of only three tables there.
Food is always spectacular, and the servers are awesome- just wish how the host stand was done was a bit cleaner.
Farmhouse is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Always so memorable, and just the BEST ambiance in town!!
I came here with my husband this past Wednesday. We waited about almost 10 minutes before we were seated and we had a reservation. The server or host was busy dealing with customers but didn't acknowledge anyone that was waiting for a table. Another server came and greeted us and sat us at a table outside.
We had a different server from the one who sat us at the table. The server was nice but she was very slow. She came dropped off our waters and her bandana style face mask slipped from her face and she says "oh, sorry this thing is really annoying. Does it matter to you both of you if I keep it on or off?" Did she really ask that question? My husband and I just didn't answer. Also, her mask kept slipping on and off her face so she would grab it and put it back on. So this server is touching the bandana on her face which she has been breathing on all night and taking orders and brining people their food and drinks? This isn't right to me. She should be wearing a proper mask.
Also, after she took our drink order we waited about 10-15 minutes for her to come and take our food order. My husband had to go chase her down. While we were waiting for her she was busy talking to someone and playing with their dog. What kind of service is this? I've been to Farmhouse before and had great service and the food is delicious but from my experience from last Wednesday I never want to go back again. I probably should have given some feedback when I was there but I just wanted to get back home because it was getting late.

Loved the vibe and the food! Such a cute place for brunch and very inventive dishes!
New favourite restaurant! The patio was well heated by fire tables, etc. and the service was excellent
Went to Farmhouse for dinner. We sat on the patio - but were actually just outside the regular area and the cross walk beeping was quite an audio distraction. They had blankets on the chairs (for warmth) which was a nice touch but my COVID paranoia wishes that I saw them change them after a table cleared. The food was tasty but ridiculously over priced. I had the lemon pasta which was $20 for the tiniest bowl of noodles in a lemon cream sauce that I have ever seen. Was our first time there and probably our last as it just didn’t feel worth the money.
Great service and delicious food. My wife had the vegan plate and I had the short rib. We were very pleased with the experience.
Brunch was awesome and the staff was friendly and attentive
One of the best burgers in town. Sooooo good. Very worth the wait.
Great service and great food. Also the cocktails were delicious. Rustic atmosphere with really well thought out dishes.
waited very long and ran out of what we came for in the first pace
This unique restaurant is decorated in vintage eclectic pieces with indoor and outdoor patio seating. We enjoyed the ambience and our waiter was very friendly. Check the menu first, breakfast may be a little too gourmet if you are looking for traditional bacon and eggs- as was the case with our son. That aside, we really enjoyed our brunch and would recommend it!
Food was not as not as good as it used to be, disappointed with burger and eggs Benedict - both too salty.
Not anything to write home about... we had steak frites.., steak was underdone for what we asked for and a bit stringy... fries were good... dessert nothing special. We won’t be back
Amazing brunch... Very filling, good coffee.
Incredible food, vibe and service!! Can’t wait to go back.
You can tell the restaurant put a lot of heart in their cooking. Excellent quality of ingredients, comfortable and clean setting. Excellent for everyday casual dining.
The service was great, but the food was not.
-Tasteless tomato salad for $16 was one sliced tomato piled on one piece of toast.
-The pasta was not quite cold, not quite warm, not quite cooked, so we sent it back. Apparently that's how the chef intended it to be...
-Root veg medley at $20 was also overpriced, served with just simple balsamic vinegar paste.
The servers were all lovely, accommodating and knowledgeable about the winelist. Too bad about the food. I left hungry.
The listing should be updated as they have different menu on different days and we were not offered a full menu most the food was not available
We received exceptional service at the farmhouse tavern!
The food is really tasty... everything else is meh. They are quite busy and the staff can come as rude. We had made a reservation for the patio and got seated inside (this or nothing type attitude). But their French Toast or Banyard Burger is so worth it!
I don’t feel that it is a place to stay for hours, but the time you are there, you have that feeling of being out of the city. The veg plate is delicious.
The food is always amazing. Brunch is great. The only negative is the menu is on the chalk board and you need a server to explain what a lot of things are. I’d rather read on a menu or a digital menu.
Went here for a birthday dinner as it's always been a solid option. This was the first so-so experience. There was a mix-up as our appetizers didn't arrive. The mains were overcooked and this had never been a problem in the past, the food was always exquisitely cooked. Found out later they recently changed ownership, still a few kinks to work out it seems. Hope they sort it out!
we were placed on a table that was away from the rest of the the patio, next to a bus stop and garbage can on DuPont. I understand space is at a premium with outdoor dining but we really did not feel part of the restaurant and felt very exposed and on display eating while people were waiting for the bus.
Servers were also not wearing their masks properly with their noses hanging out. We ordered drinks - red wine that came in a white wine glass and an old fashioned that came in a martini glass... Not huge deals but just added to the overall disappointing mediocre experience. This is not a cheap place to eat. Feel like we are allowed to expect a little more from the establishment where we have been going for years. We know the ownership has changed and we hope this is just teething problems and adjusting to reopening during the pandemic.
Over all experience was not great.
Just quite disappointed with the food quality. I’ve been the soooo many times before and something was off this time. The steak was like rubber, the trout dish was sloppy and lacked thought (it literally came on a mountain of a subpar house salad) and the oysters presentation was lacking. (No ice, in summer?) Service was great though and still tipped 20%. Just unfortunately won’t be going there again.
Love the Farmhouse!
Unfortunately , Friday night I had a horrible experience. Our food was excellent our service was awful.
Great food wine and atmosphere.
Great patio with very friendly staff! The burger was delicious. Very respectful of COVID-19 protocol
Seems to still be doing adjustments with Covid, but saying you can’t have separate bills because of that is weird. Also not telling us the brunch ends at 3pm was too bad, we wanted to order something else and couldn’t.
Was nice but expected better from previous reviews
We absolutely adore the Farmhouse Tavern. It’s one of our staples. The rustic ambience, the farm to table deliciousness and our servers have become our friends. Highly highly recommend this quaint and cozy experience any day of the week.
