    If there’s a better meal in this town, I’m unaware of it. The kitchen is amazing, the service charming and flawless, the cocktail program without peer, and I’m including Riviera in this comparison. Hospitality is providing a dreamed-of home, for just a night, and nobody does it better.

    I would not recommend this place. We got the aged steak for 2 people for $110 and considering it was only one steak and veggies and overall pretty bland, I cannot justify this price. The drinks vere alright but for the $19-20 pricetag, not worth it. We will not go this establishement again.

    One of the best Restaurants in Ottawa, they are always innovating in the Menu, The Venison Rack was outstanding, the service impeccable. Fauna have always maintained their quality of food and service.

    My first time at this restaurant while staying in Ottawa over a weekend. The restaurant staff from the getgo was helpful, with menu options and descriptions. The food was prepared without too much of a wait and everything was delicious. Great restaurant if your looking for 5 star dining at a reasonable price.

    I was floored at how good this food was. I mean this meal was superb; top five meals of my life. I have eaten in several Michelin Star 2+ places and the food here was as good or better. Net-net this is top notch fine dining in a casual atmosphere with a vibrant staff.

    Great meal. The server was detailed with his recommendations and did not steer us wrong. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highlights: Burrata app was very good. The pork chop was also very good.

    The food was spectacular. Outdoor seating was exactly what I like - sheltered from the elements without feeling that I'm indoors. Not too loud, so we could hold a conversation. This is not a bargain restaurant, save for a special event.

    We use to go at this restaurant couple of times per year but it will be the last time. Services and food just not match with the price. We where there for a birthday and the service and food where ok ( what you expect at swiss chalet…) but 4x the price ( we spent almost 500$ for 2) .. at least swiss chalet give you a dessert free lol . They finaly put a cheap candle on the 25$ drink lol

    Arrived for an early meal and the food was okay, it is a small plate appetizers but the hamburger was good, as were the fries. (Couldn’t taste the passion fruit in the ponzu sauce for the tuna.

    This meal was probably one of the best I’ve had in this city to date. When we first walked in, we were greeted warmly, and though we had arrived early for our reservation, we were seated right away at the table of our preference (by window). We loved the atmosphere- the huge window plants, the romantic lighting, the colourful art on the walls, the overall modern/chill/casual vibe. The service was top-notch: they were all super knowledgeable and eager to answer any of our questions, very friendly, and attentive (but not at all overbearing). We ordered a few fantastic cocktail, but the food was definitely the highlight…Beautiful presentation, and packed with amazing flavours. We shared the raw tuna for our appetizer, the ribeye as our main, and finally we enjoyed the cherry-topped cheesecake for dessert. Complimentary small glasses of Prosecco had also made its way around the restaurant at one point, and that was a special, surprising touch (not sure if this is their normal or just a random thing we were fortunate to experience?). They clearly care about their food and their guests. It was our first visit, but it won’t be our last.

    It's superb. We love everything about this restaurant. From the wine to the appetizers to the main courses and the dessert, everything was presented perfectly. The staff are all courteous and professional. Highly recommended.

    We went to Fauna to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The meal was superb! They were able to accommodate my coeliac allergy. All recommendations were spot on and very delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely return. Thank you. Lise and Scott.

    We went here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, but our serve seemingly forgot about us. Also, I indicated on the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, but I guess it fell on deaf ears.

    Small, quaint, loud, tasty but truly overpriced. 3 people, 3 cocktails, 2 appetizers and 3 mains...no dessert or coffee $290 including tax and tip...ouch! To me there has to be balance with cost and at fauna it's just not there.

    While the place can get quite loud sometimes, it remains one of or favourites. For the first time, we sat at the bar and received excellent service all night. The food, as usual, was exceptional. The drinks were perfect. All in all, a very good night out.

    We really enjoyed the food at Fauna. It is a quaint restaurant with a nice feel to it. The food was excellent, we had the Bison Carpaccio and the 80-Day Rib Eye for 2. We would definitely add this to our list of places to come back to.

    Our favourite restaurant in Ottawa. Fauna has recently upgraded their outdoor space with wood lattice walls and abundant plants. It's a lovely spot. Every dish is perfect and they do flora just as well as fauna.
