Calle Dão is designed to pay homage to Havana's once-thriving El Barrio Chino (Chinatown). Known as the largest such community in Latin America, El Barrio Chino occupied 44 square blocks of real estate in the late 1870s. As the Cuban and Chinese cultures mixed, a unique fusion of cuisine emerged. Today, El Barrio Chino occupies a small section of the narrow Calle Cuchillo - Knife Street - from which Calle Dão takes its name.

Excellent food and service. Only issue was beyond the restaurant’s control. A very loud and obnoxious woman. What can you do with such critters? Otherwise, I highly recommend.

We come to Calle Dao as often as we can. All hot appetizers are delicious - we tried them all! The main entrees we had, mushroom noodles and chicken and yellow rice, are superb! The service is friendly and professional. We will keep coming back.

Pretty outdoor dining area, surrounded by green, leafy trees. Servers very nice & well meaning tho a little off the mark with service, ready to bring next dish when we hadn't even finished our first. But very sweet. Fabulous molten chocolate lava cake! Great bargain on Happy Hour wine.

A wonderful meal served by Johnny and was personally greeted by Moe. We did restaurant week there and it was everything we wanted. Really tasty meal with mixture of flavors.

As a vegetarian, I knew I wasn't the target audience - but the food was AMAZING! Highly recommend; though there weren't too many options, all of them were reasons to go back and eat here again. (I ate here during Restaurant week, so there was 1 vegetarian option per course)

This place was great! I came in from out of town to celebrate my mother's birthday we are Caribbean ourselves and appreciate the fusion of cultures in Chinese Cuban cuisine. The food was pleasing to the eye and our stomachs. Definitely would go back if I lived closer!
