Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. We hope you love our little diner as much as we and our team do. Patrick Kriss & Zane Pearl

A friend and I decided to start Winterlicious with a dinner at AGO Bistro. We first explored the exhibitions before heading to our table. When we arrived, we were escorted to our table by a very welcoming host and introduced to the special menu. We selected 6 different items that were all delicious. I selected the Bistro Caesar Salad, Grilled Salmon Niçoise and Coconut Ube Panna Cotta. My friend picked the Citrus & Beet Salad, Steak Frites and Boreal Forest Cake. I enjoyed the exquisite taste of the Bistro salad with a nice selection of crisp lettuce and a creamy sauce well seasoned. The salmon was perfectly cooked to my taste with a crusty skin but still flaky and moist accompanied by fingerling potatoes that were done perfectly. The panna cotta was a great selection to end the meal. The citrus and beet salad was light and refreshing. The steak was properly cooked at medium rare coated with a rich sauce, but seemed laborious to cut and might have needed a sharper knife, The Chocolate cake was fine . There was a overlap with the first 2 courses but the transition was manageable. We will probably visit again

We had an amazing experience at Cluny! I booked a table with a larger party size for a work dinner and I am so glad I chose this gem. Our server, Antony, went above and beyond from the moment we sat down to the end of our meal - he was exceptional and delightful, as was every bite of the food. We will be back!

The food, service and atmosphere were spot on for the celebration of a mentor turning 90. We loved it! Food, people and the Champaign. The only disappointment and actually surprise was as follows: I told the bartender about the 90th bday celebration the 6 of us were having, please bring us a bottle of Champaign and 6 glasses. All cool. And he said we will bring something special at the end of brunch. The waitress brought a beautiful mix of three desserts which tasted amazing. What surprised me was when I got the bill was we were charged for them. Rather than make a stink amongst very special guests, I paid the bill. However, a couple of days have gone by now and it still bothers me. Would I go back again for another special celebration and recommend to others? For sure! It’s just unfortunate that this impression of a complimentary thank you is what you remember.
