Best Restaurants for Foodies in East Colfax

What a treasure to find this beautiful restaurant a few steps from my hotel in Downtown Denver. I went in knowing only that it was a fine dining restaurant and that I was looking for a memorable experience, and Tavernetta delivered. My server, Remy, was a delight and helped me make my best choices. I started with the caviar and champagne flight which was perfectly delectable. I thought I would skip the Per la Tavola menu but I had to have some of the focaccia so I got a half order of that and it was so good, I tried to save a piece to take with me, sadly I forgot my box when I left and realized too late (due to being fully satiated) to go back for it. For Primi, I ordered the tagliatelle because I can never pass up a lobster dish, it was plate-cleaning delicious. For Secondi, I went with the Pesce, wanting something light and healthy, which worked out well because I ended up with two desserts! Well, three, if you count the espresso martini. After Remy described the Cafe Dolce gelato, I was second-guessing my choice of the Colorado Honey gelato and I said as much so the wonderful staff offered me both for dessert and it was the perfect way to round out my last evening in Denver. Thank you Travis and Remy, and the rest of the staff at Tavernetta, I will definitely come back next time I’m in town!

Food was excellent and service great. I had the tenderloin which was excellent. Our friend got the duck which he always enjoys. 

My favorite spot in Denver! Gracious hospitality, beautiful room and incredible food! Great beverage program. Can’t wait to come back!
