Best Romantic Restaurants in White Rock

2 of us had the anniversary special. It was sumptuous! The nitro ice cream was a thrilling and delicious ending to a really great meal. A friend had the halibut and he loved it. I tried a bite and noticed it was done to perfection. The other friend had the seafood platter and she was very happy with it. What a special place the Old Surrey Inn is! Over the 40 year span of dining at this jewel, the draw is always the Caesar salad made by your table. The best I’ve had! Great service and ambience. Keep up the impressive job and thank you for all the wonderful and memorable meals.

Made a reseravation ahead of time and table was ready right away. We were given choice of preference (high-top, booth, etc). Service was very attentive. Got a preservice water within seconds of sitting down, and the server was there within two minutes. His name was Cal and he was speedy, polite but fun, attentive and checked in often (but not toooo much-which is nice). Got drinks within a couple of minutes and topped up glasses in the middle of service. Food was incredible and hot. Vegetarian and non-alcoholic selection was great for my girlfriend which is nice for a brewery style restaurant. Even vegan choices (plant-based selections) was great. Got thanked and good-byes from three staff on the way out. Five stars all around!

Three of us made a reservation for my wife's birthday and it was a Friday night. The food was quite good, everyone was happy with what they ordered and the service was excellent all night. There was a large party that blocked off half the restaurant, but we didn't mind that at all. It was the 1-2 tables near us that were EXTREMELY loud all evening so much that we could hardly talk to each other with the drunken shouting going on. I really wish someone had just told them to tone it down a bit, other tables were not happy either. It is bad when a table of 8 is louder than an entire Christmas party! A bit disappointing. We would go back, food is very good and they did their best with a busy evening.
