Great Place… Great Food. Portions can be slightly better. But overall excellent

I am on the hunt to try all the Michelin-star restaurants in Toronto. I have tasted 4 now, and so far, Engima is the best one. The food and flavours were incredible as well as the overall design of each plate, carefully curated for maximum enjoyment, but what really got me was first the service and explanation of every dish was incredible, the staff like a well-oiled machine, came in cleaned up, changed silverware and made sure we always had towelettes to clean our hands. The second thing is, the chefs were interactive and came in to talk about the dishes and present it to us, that was awesome and if you ever had questions about the flavour profile, you only need the right question to ask them. The last thing is that it was my father's birthday, they made sure it was an unforgettable one, they took a picture of us and gave us that picture, had complimentary champagne, the chef took a picture with us as well, and we had some starters on the house. They made this birthday incredibly memorable, and my dad is already talking about returning with my mom. You finish off with a little baggie to take home. Like you are a kid who just went to the best birthday party. Everything was incredible, a one-of-a-kind experience, and in our humble opinion, worth every dollar.

Joni's new bothy menu is outstanding. I had the lobster poutine. WOW. I was served a generous portion of lobster🦞. The fries are chrispy and the entire meal i will repeat very soon. Due to the season things are busy everywhere Jonl's service is always pitch perfect. From front of house to behind the scenes in the kitchen Joni delivers. I am planning to return Saturday for the blooming onion and oysters rockefeller . I am a regular here and I love new features . I will be a lifetime guest because every visit exceeds the previous one. Drop by if you want to experience the highest level of superior dining in Yorkville and Toronto. DON

We had a great "date night" at Sassafras. The dishes were delicious and creative, the staff were subtle and attentive, and the atmosphere was upbeat, with the excellent playlist playing quietly in the background. A memorable evening.

Atmosphere was nice. Ate here a few times. Food and drinks were excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Didn’t like our table adjacent to the server’s table (a very busy, noisy spot.) .
