This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem. The waitstaff was friendly and very attentive. The cuisine was definitely above par, and there were a number of nice menu options to choose from. Will plan on dining there again when I am in the area.
Lovely dining spot with great food & excellent service.
We have eaten at Fiamma many times. Every time we leave, I think that it was much too expensive. The food is average, especially relative to the price. The scallops that I had were too spicy. Scallops are somewhat delicate and really do not need a lot of spice to be good. My salad was fine, as well my Aperol Spritz. The bread was good, although I’m trying to limit my carbs. My son liked his steak. My other son did not care for the Gnocchi. He has had Gnocchi at other restaurants locally that he likes better. The ambiance is generally nicer outside, but it was way too hot to eat outside that evening. The waiter was fine, but I felt like we were being rushed as he came back 2-3 times to see if he could take my plate away. I prefer to eat next door at Compari or the Sardine room.
We never went, so my review is meaningless. We made a reservation there to celebrate my wife's birthday. We made the reservation here on Open Table. Less than an hour before before the time, we received a note from Open Table saying that reservation had been cancelled because restaurant was without power. Looked into it and found out that this happened a couple days before due to issues at a substation and the utility was trying to correct it. We found out that several other restaurants and businesses in the downtown Plymouth area were out as well. My question is, why was our reservation accepted and confirmed when the restaurant was out of power? And we were notified of the issue as we were preparing to leave? This is not a problem with the restaurant. It's actually very good. We wound up going to another place and had a less than satisfactory meal. Thanks, Open Table.
The food was amazing! I had the Lamb Osso Bucco, which was even more tender than I expected. Everything was run very professionally.
This place is a perfect 6 out of 10. Great place for dinner with grandpa and grandma
The Risotto a la Fiamma was excellent. The Cajun Crusted Walleye was disappointing. The Creme Brulee for dessert capped off a wonderful evening with friends.
Great experience. Will definitely go again
The power went out during the visit, it was hot in restaurant and the management did nothing to accommodate the patrons.
All our food dishes were delicious. The fresh bread was served very warm, the calamari was as tender as I ever tasted, and the entrees were all very good. The wait staff was very attentive. The only negative was it is a little noisy for a smaller restaurant. And, you can't help it, but some of the guests were dressed a little too informally for my liking. (basically in t-shirts)
We thoroughly enjoyed a Father's Day celebration with our family at Fiamma Grille! This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we will return. The food was delicious, the service was good with friendly staff, and the strolling musicians who play on Sunday's were a perfect touch for a memorable meal!
Overall great experience. Server was on point. Pace of food was good. Wine selection good without being overwhelming. Same for the food. Highly recommend.
We heard about this restaurant from a friend and his recommendation was spot on. We were seated promptly, served at a pace that allowed us to enjoy the food and the company. The menu offered some interesting and innovative items which turned out to be extremely tasty. The next time I am in Plymouth I will dine at Fiamma Grille again.
Great food. I had the steak and it was perfect
Great food. Service is excellent.
Very generous portions. Meals were well-prepared with quality ingredients. The restaurant is a comfortable place, with an old school vibe.
Our overall experience was excellent except for our server and an over cooked steak. She appeared to just not be in the mood or maybe just a dry personality. She wasn’t very friendly, no back and forth banter even after we made a few comments, just lack luster from what I would expect and have received at such a high rated restaurant. Other than that the food was amazing! Even my sons chicken tenders were delicious! The steaks were good; however mine was over cooked. I asked for medium and it was brown through out. It was seasoned well but clearly due to being over cooked wasn’t as tender as I would have liked. The Brussels sprouts and wedge salad were delicious! For appetizers we had medallions and calamari; both were very tasty! We will return again and look forward to trying other dishes on the menu.
Nice little place with great food. Fish was good and service was wonderful.
Service was very good. Not too busy for a Thursday night. Whitefish Due Appetizer was excellent (smoked dip & whitefish fillet). For entrees, the Woodland Ricotta Gnocchi was excellent. Yellowtail special with pesto risotto was very good - risotto was a bit overcooked. Cioppino was a big disappointment - very small pieces of fish, small mussels, and tiny bay scallops. Cioppino also had shaved carrots which were hard to eat and a thick broth. It was nothing like Cioppino that I've had in San Francisco. Twice fried potato with blue cheese was also a disappointment. Overall, I would give the food quality 3 of 5 and the overall experience a 4 out of 5.
Love the place
Very much enjoyed the food and service. Had a very knowledgeable waiter who had an opinion (an absolute must for me). The food was excellent. Hidden gem for those of us who spend a lot of their dining time in Birmingham. Wine list was nice and affordable. Highly recommend.
Fiamma is great for any kind of celebration. We go every time we have an opportunity. During spring, summer and fall, the outdoor seating is perfect, especially when they have music at the Park.
The food was excellent My husband had a filet that was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I had the scallops which were also excellent. The service was ok not exceptional and honestly for the cost of the meal, the service should be better. The wine list is decent and varies in price range. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for excellent food but be ready to open your wallet.
Fun lively establishment with smart and efficient wait staff.
We had a wonderful dinner. Gail our server is the best of the best.
Service and food were excellent! Nice wine list. The tiramisu was the best we have eaten. However, the noise level was extremely loud, where we could not carry on a conversation. The tables were so close together, we felt like those at the table next to us, were with our party! Would suggest not going during peak hours.
Food was a real disappointment - felt like it was prepped in advance or sat too long before serving.
There is a caveat. The wine list is impressive; however the per bottle prices go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a hurry. Yet the selection is first class.
My wife had a dinner salad and the walnut encrusted walleye, she pronounced excellent. I had the traditional French Onion soup (very good, perhaps a little too much cheese but not too salty; nice sherry aftertaste) and the certified Piedmontese beef fillet, 8 ounce, accompanied with garlic mash and broccolini. Filet had a tad to much salt (there is a zip sauce on it), and while ordered medium-rare, tended more to the medium side. I did not return it nor register a complaint however, as we have dined here before several times and this is unusual, and I don't car to waste a steak for a minor mishap.
This was a Friday night, and although we arrived for an early reservation (5:30 PM), the place rapidly filled up and was bustling and noisy. My wife has a slight hearing problem; it was difficult to converse. It was even challenging for me at times.
Tiramisu ordered for desert (to split) was a mistake. Not because it wasn't good it was delicious. But the serving was almost as large as the city of Baltimore. We're still working on it at home 3 days later.
All in all, we still consider this place and it's sister restaurants (they are located right next to each other in a row: Camparis (traditional Italian) and The Sardine Room (small plates). All very good, give them a try.
Great food, good service.
The noise level was high, but the food and service was good. This was our first visit, and we would be back.
The quality of the meat was just average
Overall was a nice night out. When we first got there the hostess said they put a reservation on a booth in the bar area but someone took it. Seemed strange that they wouldn't enforce that. Worked out ok though someone was leaving in the same area so we did get a booth in the bar. We did make our reservations late on Saturday, so we were happy how things turned out.
First time there. Excellent food. Excellent wait staff. Great experience. Will definitely return...
The tables were really close together and we were stuck right by the door and under an air conditioning unit. The server said a few things that rubbed us the wrong way. We ordered drinks and she got both of our drinks wrong. We also ordered soup and she forgot about that too. When I asked for my soup she stated that she couldn’t win with us. And when my husband mentioned that his drink was not the right drink she said she was really busy and that she would send her manager over to take care of us.
I go to this place often for date night. I always ask for my steak to be well done with no pink and this time I sent it back because it was obviously pink. They had cooked it perfectly all the other times. What bothered me is that the manager who came to bring me the second steak argued with me when I said I still thought there was pink in it. I was with a friend, and I didn’t feel like arguing. The server followed up right away because he saw how the manager acted and I said it was fine. I am telling you this here because I would love for my steak to be cooked to order without having to be argumentative. It’s embarrassing. After all I come here to have a good time.
Service was very quick and portions were good. Food was delicious, only negative we had was my lamb and his steak were a little to salty for our taste.
Love it here!!
