Fun lively establishment with smart and efficient wait staff.
We had a wonderful dinner. Gail our server is the best of the best.
Service and food were excellent! Nice wine list. The tiramisu was the best we have eaten. However, the noise level was extremely loud, where we could not carry on a conversation. The tables were so close together, we felt like those at the table next to us, were with our party! Would suggest not going during peak hours.
Food was a real disappointment - felt like it was prepped in advance or sat too long before serving.
Easter Brunch
There is a caveat. The wine list is impressive; however the per bottle prices go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a hurry. Yet the selection is first class.
My wife had a dinner salad and the walnut encrusted walleye, she pronounced excellent. I had the traditional French Onion soup (very good, perhaps a little too much cheese but not too salty; nice sherry aftertaste) and the certified Piedmontese beef fillet, 8 ounce, accompanied with garlic mash and broccolini. Filet had a tad to much salt (there is a zip sauce on it), and while ordered medium-rare, tended more to the medium side. I did not return it nor register a complaint however, as we have dined here before several times and this is unusual, and I don't car to waste a steak for a minor mishap.
This was a Friday night, and although we arrived for an early reservation (5:30 PM), the place rapidly filled up and was bustling and noisy. My wife has a slight hearing problem; it was difficult to converse. It was even challenging for me at times.
Tiramisu ordered for desert (to split) was a mistake. Not because it wasn't good it was delicious. But the serving was almost as large as the city of Baltimore. We're still working on it at home 3 days later.
All in all, we still consider this place and it's sister restaurants (they are located right next to each other in a row: Camparis (traditional Italian) and The Sardine Room (small plates). All very good, give them a try.
Excellent !
Great food, good service.
The noise level was high, but the food and service was good. This was our first visit, and we would be back.
The quality of the meat was just average
Overall was a nice night out. When we first got there the hostess said they put a reservation on a booth in the bar area but someone took it. Seemed strange that they wouldn't enforce that. Worked out ok though someone was leaving in the same area so we did get a booth in the bar. We did make our reservations late on Saturday, so we were happy how things turned out.
First time there. Excellent food. Excellent wait staff. Great experience. Will definitely return...
The tables were really close together and we were stuck right by the door and under an air conditioning unit. The server said a few things that rubbed us the wrong way. We ordered drinks and she got both of our drinks wrong. We also ordered soup and she forgot about that too. When I asked for my soup she stated that she couldn’t win with us. And when my husband mentioned that his drink was not the right drink she said she was really busy and that she would send her manager over to take care of us.
I go to this place often for date night. I always ask for my steak to be well done with no pink and this time I sent it back because it was obviously pink. They had cooked it perfectly all the other times. What bothered me is that the manager who came to bring me the second steak argued with me when I said I still thought there was pink in it. I was with a friend, and I didn’t feel like arguing. The server followed up right away because he saw how the manager acted and I said it was fine. I am telling you this here because I would love for my steak to be cooked to order without having to be argumentative. It’s embarrassing. After all I come here to have a good time.
Service was very quick and portions were good. Food was delicious, only negative we had was my lamb and his steak were a little to salty for our taste.
Very good meal. I had the dry aged ribeye with the risotto with crab. Incredible meal. And of course, tiramisu for dessert. A great birthday meal. We have been here times before and will definitely be back.
Valentines
Waitress was very good, friendly, knowledgeable...
Food was great. Specials were creative.. It was a nice place for a Valentines Day dinner.
The meal for both of us was very good with the exception of the crab cake: fishy and the after dinner coffee which was bad. It tasted like the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned in a very long while. This was disappointing for a $3.00 price that should have complimented desert. The dinner was otherwise very good, especially the risotto. We eat there once a year from out of town.
A fun evening, great ambience, reasonable food prices, and a plate that had more than a hunk of meat on it. I hate restaurants that charge $50 for an entree and provide nothing more than the meat or fish, with no salad or sides. Fiamma was a great value. My husband's filet was excellent; my monkfish special only so-so. Bar is delightful.
Always excellent.
Food and service were amazing.
Fiamma Grill is always a great time! My husband and I come here on date night and we love it! The food is absolutely scrumptious, well made, beautiful presentation and perfect portion. The service is very professional, friendly and genuine. Love the ambiance, candles and the live soft music. Perfect place for a date or special occasion.
Everyone one was very good
This used to be my favorite restaurant. I'm not sure what happened but the service and food has taken a nose dive. Tonight it took over 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged after being seated, then another 5-10 to get the wine I ordered. Finally we were asked if we wanted an appetizer after I got my wine. When the appetizer came out later we then had the rest of our order taken. It seemed like we were an after thought to the server. I understand people get busy, but we were able to observe the service the tables around us were getting from our server and it was not the same.
I ordered the fillet Oscar style. The bernaise "sauce" that was on top of the crab cake was as thick as mayo. The steak ordered medium rare was dry and the mashed potatoes seemed a day old. Both my dish and my husband's were overly salted as well. I think we are done with Fiamma at this point as this is not the first time we've noticed things are not as good as they used to be.
My only complaint is that there was a large group of about 14 people. The only place they have for a group that size is in the single dining area (winter time). The group was not an overly loud group. Just normal conversations, but it was very loud nonetheless. I don’t blame anyone for this, it is just a consequence of accommodating a large group. However, it was bothersome to me and my wife who just wanted a quiet meal.
Food is always excellent here. Ice fest was this weekend so it was extremely crowded and kind of loud but we were good with it. This is our go to place in Plymouth
Always fabulous
Had a new server tonight...not as attentive as Jeff, Mike, or Kathy. Food was excellent though.
Fiamma never fails to provide a excellent place to dine.
Server was nice and prompt, food was delicious. Risotto, filet, pasta and short ribs were all very good.
Dinner with family in from Cleveland for holiday
To start we check in at the host stand. The gentleman at the front did not even greet us. I started the conversation told him we had a reservation for 2 for our last name for my wife's Birthday dinner. He did not respond he just said follow me. I would equate it to Lurch being the front door host. Although he was dressed nice so I hope that was not the manager. Our server was average with very minimal interaction about the same average service of casual dining except he had great input with the wine and appetizer He seemed a little rushed though. My food came out excellent, my wife ordered the surf and turf and the Lobster Tail was excellent but her steak was over done and burnt. Not sure why that got out of the kitchen. She ordered her Fillet M.W. so I expected it to come out a bit darker since it is hard to get that cut M.W. but this was an entire layer all the way around burnt and tasted like charred leather. The inside had no pink but was still pretty tender so she ate it and did not want me to mention anything. There was nothing special like most fine dining or higher end dining places do. The server did not even say anything even though twice we mentioned it in front of him. Overall very average experience and compared to other places similar or on the higher end I would call this place below average.
Our food and service was excellent. However we had a child in diapers with us. There is no changing table in the women's restroom. My daughter had to lay her coat on the floor and then put her changing pad on top of it. These days it is unusual to find your self in this situation. :0(
Live music was very loud, which made people talk extra loud over it. It was also very bright, which together detected from the ambiance a bit. Food and service were excellent though, even on a busy night.
The service was good but our steak was so tough it was difficult to cut. I really can’t recommend the food.
Fabulous...as always.
Excellent food. Steak was of highest quality to compete with any of the hundred I have eaten over the years. The place was jammed with holiday events and managed to pull off decent service. I live over an hour away and am returning again next week for another business dinner. Very impressive.
Very nice ambience! Seated promptly (had reservation). Great service, no mistakes or problems at all. Delicious cocktails, decent salads, really excellent entrees.
The dessert we shared (a slice of bumpy cake) looked very appealing but, alas, was not noteworthy (gritty chocolate icing).
We'd definitely return here again.
Outstanding dining experience, had never been to Plymouth downtown Dining but a wonderful experience.....Keep up the great work.
