Our server Laura was amazing.
We went to Figo for lunch today.
Although we missed our initial brunch reservation by 2 hours, they were kind enough to allow us to order off the brunch - instead of mid-day - menu.
We ordered the Margherita pizza and olives. Both were surprisingly good, despite the reviews we read of this place.
Along with a glass of wine and some Mezcal, the total was $60. (The one ounce of Mezcal seemed to be less than one ounce.) The whole meal was kind of expensive for what it was, although we did enjoy the food and atmosphere. It was pleasant. I liked the open kitchen concept and brightness of the interior.
Our server was also pleasant, except on asking us at the end whether we wanted two bills instead of one. It was my husband. It felt awkward and inappropriate, and somewhat lessened my overall and otherwise to that point positive feeling of Figo.
While we enjoyed the food we are not certain we would return because it wouldn't necessarily be our first choice.
Though we were celebrating our anniversary, no special mention was made of this by staff or restaurant.
We were pleasantly surprised by both the food and the service. The food quality was comparable to much more expensive restaurants. The staff were attentive with the manager checking in from time to time in addition to our waitress.
One of the best dinners of my life! They even gave us a tiramisu for our anniversary
Fantastic service and incredible food!
Figo is an amazing restaurant filled with great decor, a transparent kitchen, amazing decor, and a creative tasteful menu. The kind and attentive staff add the warm ambiance you're introduced to as soon as you are seated in the restaurant. It can get quite busy during peak times, so making a reservation will allow for you to have a seamless experience. This is my second time eating at Figo and I always come back for their Zucchini Fries. Although I wish it had a bit less batter used when frying the Zucchini so I can taste more of the vegetable and lemon coating, it is still such a delicious and comforting dish that I crave for! Their stoned oven pizza and pasta are made and presented with such immense effort and delicious taste down to the very last detail, you can't go wrong enjoying a meal here. Whether its a sunny lunch out on the patio to people watch, or a intimate date night inside having some of their finest wine, Figo is an incredible experience with delicious food and even better atmosphere.
The ambiance is almost perfect, the service was excellent!
My only concern what’s the temperature in the food. The food came out with an inconsistent temperature my pasta was at an adequate temperature of my co-workers steak and polenta was cold, which made a potential great meal below average. As in previous reviews we had ordered something and they didn’t have it.
Would I go back?
A definite yes, but as I read other reviews I see that these are the same concerns other diners have had and I wonder why it has not been corrected yet .
My overall experience was extremely pleasant. The waiting staff were efficient and polite. Would dine again.
Interior of the restaurant is astounding, so beautiful. The food is impeccable. 10/10 would recommend. One of our favourite spots in Toronto so far!
Essen sehr gut. Service nett. Wein leider viel zu warm.
Food was a bit slow to come out and when it did arrive was room temperature. Flavour was okay at best. The pancakes were soft and fluffy but again not very warm which was disappointing. The music was far too loud and the servers kept eyeing our table to clear the plates and it felt a bit uncomfortable. Wish I didn’t have to yell when speaking to people I was dining with. Just turn the music down a bit. The decor is beautiful.
I found Figo on Open Table - so glad we went. We were a party of four going to the Princess of Wales Theatre. Figo is close by which was very convenient. They have a very large patio which we really enjoyed. The menu had a variety of interesting items. Our waiter was superb and provided excellent menu recommendations. We will be back - just surprised we never found the restaurant before - but so glad we did!
Figo is without a doubt one of the prettiest restaurants in the city (I always come back for the aesthetic) however I regret celebrating my birthday here. The food is amazing - when they have it. We went through 7 different options for mains and all were unavailable. Running out of food at 8 pm for Friday dinner service is unacceptable. Our server was an absolute angel and extremely apologetic - he managed to get the kitchen to pull through with ONE of the unavailable pastas.
It should also be noted that despite this mess, the hostess reiterated that there is a $5.50 cake cutting fee - per guest (we don’t have any food in our kitchen but we’re going to charge you $5.50 per person to cut a 4 inch cake that you supplied yourself). We had to flag down the manager to let him know we were going to have the cake elsewhere and the cutting would not be necessary - but before we could so much as get a word out, he made it clear that he could not be bothered to tend to us.
I have loved Figo in the past and hope this was just an isolated incident. The calamari, burrata bruschetta, and fried zucchini are the best in the city, and the pastas are delicious. The ambiance is always good and the aesthetic of the restaurant is just stunning. Please do better Figo!
A very pretty restaurant with a great ambiance and cute patio but the food /drinks are mediocre and over priced.
Food was very good and tasty. Pricey and small portions. Not good for sharing. Huge beautiful patio.
Foods were alright, decor was gorgeous. Just TOO LOUD.
Food was amazing!
It was very mediocre. Very noisy with the traffic and fire engines sitting on the patio which is just the way of the city. Wasn't too impressed with the interior either though
Restaurant is gorgeous and the serve was good. Food was beautifully presented but all the dishes lacked flavour. Overall, underwhelming experience. Would not go back.
A gorgeous venue with a great patio outside. The service was decent and the food was a reasonable price. The pasta dish was flavourful and smooth. I would definitely go back for a patio evening.
Food was not as good as I remembered.
The music was way too loud.
Seating very uncomfortable. My daughter and I were seated in a love seat sort of chair by the patio doors. As the door would open from people entering and leaving, our napkins would be flying everywhere.
The food was not good at all. Appetizers were oily and the mains were (no good way to say this) GROSS! The only good thing about this place was our waiter who was pleasant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Eat here at your own risk!
We enjoyed a dinner of very good food and excellent service but the experience was offset by the high noise level. When you have to raise your voice to be heard it is far from a relaxing experience. This is not unique to Figo, it's quite common, as many restaurants are poorly designed in terms of acoustics. Perhaps if diners spend most of their time looking at their smart phones they don't care about the noise. For us, a relaxing evening of good food and conversation is paramount.
Buena opción para comer pedimos pulpo, calamares fritos y pizza, el sabor muy bueno, y la atención fue muy buena por parte del restaurante, definitivamente recomendado
Booked a table here to celebrate an anniversary, and the food was amazing. We both loved our meals. Our only complaint was that it was a little loud, but the staff, food and ambiance are all world class.
We went to FIGO for breakfast and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go back to try their ricotta pancakes!
Went to FIGO hoping for a summerlicious lunch deal. Not only there was no mention on the website they wouldn’t honour summerlicious lunch menu on weekends. The brunch that was served to us was mediocre at best, definitely not worth the 100$+ for 2 people. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend.
Food and service were excellent but it was much Too noisy
My friend and I visited Figo before going to the Princess of Wales Theatre. We enjoyed the Summerlicious menu. and the lovely outdoor dining experience. Our server recommended menu items at our request. We plan to visit again in the fall or winter to experience the regular menu and to enjoy the interior ambience.
The stake I had was obviously prepared my order....
We sat at a nice table on the patio, before heading off to a concert. Our food was great, the zucchini starter is amazing! The only drawback of our evening was that our server was very curt, did not seem very happy to be there, and didn't smile once. We tried not to let it bother us too much, we were out for a fun night, but as I reflect on the evening, this is the thought that comes back to me about Figo. I've been before, will go again, just a drag, we got a server in a bad mood.
We had the Summerlicious menu with friends. We had good service & the food is excellent.
We went for summerlicious. The food was wonderful and very tasty. It was worth the value and would definitely go back to try other dishes from the menu!
Our server seemed bothered by our questions and did not make the experience pleasant.
Unfortunately we were not blown away by the summerlicious menu and kept looking at other food that we wished we ordered instead. It was not worth the money considering we didn’t enjoy the food and the server made it even worse.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience.
Was not impressed with the food. Bland and asked for al dente pasta like 3 times came out Over cooked. The patio is beautiful though. And our server took off my meal because we waited so long to receive it. Which was thoughtful
Tasty food, attentive service, easy, convenient location near many office buildings for weekday lunch with a friend.
I made a reservation two days before and requested a table outside. When we arrived, for about 5 minutes, there was no hostess to be found and people started piling in looking for a table. I was the 2nd person to be served, yet people who arrived AFTER US and had NO reservation were seated before us OUTSIDE, where I requested to sit two days ago.. I was told to wait at the bar, when finally 30 minutes later, the hostess said there was a table available. My reservation was made for 8:45pm, and we didnt sit down until 9:40pm. Then our waitress comes & tells us the kitchen closes in 20 MINUTES and to order food now. I was absolutely furious. Not only did I have to wait one hour for a table I thought I reserved and people who arrived after me with no reservation were given a table outside before I was but, I was ALSO rushed to eat and didnt even have a good time. The food was in very small portions and tasted okay. Overall, service was AWFUL and I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.
Our server was excellent! She was attentive without being intrusive. And when we had questions about the wine, she was very knowledgable. A great dinner!
Overall a good summerlicious experience. Heirloom tomatoes appetizer was tasty. Tuna portion was quite small Entrees:??flank steak was very good; chicken was a bit overcooked; fish was the good. Tiramisu was excellent.
Loud. Hot. Mediocre. That's about sums it up. The seats next to the kitchen are incredibly hot which I may have been able to get past if it was December or if I could be distracted by conversation. Unfortunately, I could not hear my husband sitting across the table. His lemon linguine was fine but otherwise the food (caprese salad and flank steak) were completely forgettable.
