   We would eat at Figo again and overall enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner. We gave three star ratings in some areas because: venue is loud and anyone with a hearing challenge related to background noise will find the restaurant not conducive to conversation at times; there is no flexibility with the menu - what is listed is what is available and no requests, however small, will be considered. Regrettably, I was given a menu with a salad no longer available which should never have happened.

   Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. Small menu with very good food. The took gnocchi off the menu which broke my heart. They were the best gnocchi in all of Canada!

   We had a wonderful dinner before the show at the Princess of Wales theatre. Everyone was most attentive, friendly and professional. My friends dietary accommodations were easily met, thw food was delicious and we were offered a taste when deciding on wine.

   Food was good but overpriced. It is a place for a younger crowd. Table was sticky but was told that is the finish on the table. Mushroom pizza was delicious but pricey!

    There’s something about the pizza that keeps me coming back. Highly recommend checking the menu before booking a reservation as the menu is constantly changing.

    The food was delicious. Perhaps because they were understaffed everything took a very long time including refreshing our drinks. They did comp us an appetizer which was appreciated.

    Waited long for drinks, messed up pasta order, didn’t have many thing in the menu , double charged on bill , over all there was 7 mistakes . Food was good , but the place was being run by armatures

    Service was mid, they said the pizza oven was broken so we ordered pasta instead. Not 20 minutes later, a server walks past us serving pizza to the table behind us. Asked for a diet coke, got regular pepsi. Imagine if we had been diabetic! Service took forever, food took like an hour. Would not return. Only upside was that the food and drinks were actually good.

    I was pretty disappointed that we weren’t told the pizza oven was not working before we settled in - we would have rethought staying. Our cocktails were good, but pricey. The antipasto board didn’t some with any sort of bread/cracker, which I found odd… why give me mustard if you don’t give anything to put it on - should I have slathered it on the slice of meat? And finally, our server kept asking if we wanted things and then bringing them ages later… I had a long pasta, she said “I will bring your spoon” and brought it once I was almost finished (and yes, I waiting a while before diving into my then cooled pasta). Long story short, we didn’t really enjoy our dinner and probably won’t go back anytime soon. Too bad - used to be great!

    Noise level was very high, better to sit outside I think. The waiter ignored us, we thought it was only us at first but seemed like everyone was being treated that way. The waiters were just have a laugh by the counter near the bar. For apps we got calamari which was good but that’s the end of it. One of our mains was steak dish which was a tiny portion of steak floating in olive oil. Our other main was the branzino which was again floating in olive oil. We also ordered 2 sides - mushrooms & potatoes (each for $16/17!!) as it didn’t come with the main, even though the pricing was pretty high in general. Mushrooms just sat in a watery liquid. We just assumed that the restaurant is going out of business due to bad management and they’re probably pulling through the last stages before closing shop, the service staff aren’t getting paid properly either and that’s why it was so bad. Or was it just an unlucky night? Not sure, but with those excuses in mind, we put up with the service and food for the night.

    Amazing food! Pasta options were unreal, as well as the calamari. Service was at times slow; drinks took forever to come out, and coffee came way before the dessert. They were not terribly busy so it’s unclear why there were delays.

    The pasta was tasty but nothing special (I had bucatini al ragu), too expensive. Our server seemed out of place, like a deer caught in the headlights. The decor and ambience was nice but it got very busy (lunch hour) and was a bit noisy.

    We had a really wonderful time at Figo. While we had a slight misunderstanding with the reservation, the team went over and above to make up for it. The service was very attentive without disrupting our meal or conversation. We ordered a few different pizzas and enjoyed them all thoroughly. We will definitely be back.

    Half of our party were delayed and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. We placed our order and it came perfectly when our remaining guests arrived. We made it the theatre with time to spare.

    Two of us (women) ordered the focaccia with olives, calamari and the buccatelli with wild boar ragu. The focaccia was more like challah to us, but very good and came with a generous bowl of heated olives. The calamari had a nice lemony sauce and the breading was delicious, but the squid itself was the tiniest bit rubbery. Both those dishes filled us up, so when we saw the size of the dishes of pasta, we’d wished we’d ordered one to split. It was very good though even though we couldn’t finish it. We got there at 5 as we were going to the theatre and it was nice and quiet but as the place filled up, it became a bit noisier. The decor was very nice, the washrooms were clean and the wait staff was fantastic.
