I always come here and brought my mom and sister from AZ for the Filomena experience. Huge disappointment. From my sisters salmon daily special which came out barely cooked, to the server who never checked on us after knowing her food was taken back or let us know her food was coming, to my plate getting cold due to having to wait so long for her new meal, to having to get up and wait for a manager. Horrible. They did discoint some but it should have been no charge - and at minimum- a manager should have visited the table to talk to us.

Second time eating here, but first time in the actual dining area. Last time we didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar and ate. Both times the food, drinks & service were phenomenal. The assortment of breads and the dipping sauce is a great way to start the delicious meal. Artichoke and spinach rigatoni is so creamy and filling, I suggest sharing an entrée so you can order one of their decadent desserts and enjoy one of the complimentary after dinner drinks they offer.

Best restaurant I've been to in years. Just incredible. Service was perfect. Our table was ready on time. Food was great and the ambiance was unique and fun. There is a woman making fresh pasta in the front of the restaurant that you can watch! Kids had a great time, too. Portion sizes were very generous. Prices seemed a bit high, but for the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time, I'd gladly pay it again. Thank you for the memories. As someone who lives across the country, I am so glad we stopped here.

We almost never go anywhere twice in DC because there are too many great places to try, but we break that rule for Filomena’s. The service is exceptional, the food is exquisite, and the environment is romantic and fun all at once. We always leave happy, full, and excited for the next time we visit. Go, and if you aren’t sure what to order, take your server’s advice - their suggestions are on point.

Everything was amazing. We had the meatballs, chicken parm, and misto de mare with a bottle of Montepulciqno. The amaretto after dinner was a very nice touch. Thank you!

We had an outstanding dinner. The Italian food was authentic and next level. The vibe is like eating in your Grandmom’s dining room for Sunday dinner. The decorations a fun and lively and the rooms are decorated based on the holiday or season. I ate here for the first time in the late 1980’s and had an amazing meal then so much so that when I got back to DC this past weekend, I made sure I got back to the restaurant. I can’t believe it was just as amazing as I remembered.

We'd been to Filomena's several times before, so we knew what to expect. On Monday evening we arrived to find out I'd mistakenly made the reservations for Tuesday. The Filomena's staff was able to find us a table right away,and the meal was nothing short of AMAZING!!!!!!! Always a most special occasion to dine at an outstanding restaurant.

The meal was superb! The waitstaff were lovely. Our only concern was that it took one hour for our food! It was for a party of 4, but others seemed to be getting their food in a more timely way.

We eat here about once a month. It’s always superb but something was off tonight. We had calamari, oyster Rockefeller, lasagna, and veal. The calamari was way over cooked. It was like eating rubber. The lasagna was over cooked and had a crusty top. The veal was also over cooked. It was dry, tough but just like warm. Never before did we have a mediocre meal. The service was fine. It seems like they put in more tables. The place is not comfortable anymore. It’s far too crowded

The food was great and the service was good. We really enjoyed our time and experience at Filomena restaurant. The decor was outstanding. It was setup with a Easter holiday feel and it was awesome display throughout the restaurant.

Honestly, this is highly overrated as the best Italian in DC. The interior is tacky, over decorated for holidays and the food is unrefined “Cheesecake Factory” style. Pass on their world famous Cesar salad as the dressing is bland (not enough lemon or anchovies). Wine by the glass was good!

Stunning, as always. The food is decadent and delicious, the ambiance is obviously a big draw, and the service is top notch. We weren’t rushed - it never felt like they were trying to turn a table the way it does at some other high-demand restaurants.
