    Excellent food at a great location. Fish was cooked perfect and tasted very fresh. The baby back ribs were fall-off the bone tender and had the right glaze and seasoning. Coconut shrimp was large and perfectly fried. The Rosoto was also very tasty. Overall, my fiance and I were very pleased with the food and service.

    One of my favorite for fresh fish in Kona.. Like most in 2023 prices seem pricey. Good Happy. Hour….. hostess and bar server were great and helpful. Dinner server explained specials and food questions . Enjoyed our meal.

    It’s pretty much a ritual for us to take mainland visitors to Fish Hopper for a meal. They love the ocean front views, the ambiance, service, drinks and food. Today was no exception. I’m stuck on the fish and chips made with Ono. I can’t seem to make myself order anything else. The best anywhere in the world that I have had. We love Fish Hopper💕

    We had the biscuits and gravy and the corn beef hash - both excellent 🤩 The view of Kona Bay is stunning. Our waitress was on top of everything. This is one of my go-to restaurants

    Our server, Brent, was amazing. Made us feel welcome, never rushed us, and always seemed to show up at the table at just the right time. The food was outstanding. The best Filet Mignon I have had in long time. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and could not have been happier. Dessert...OMG Good. The Fish Hoppers veteran recognition was above & beyond and greatly appreciated. We will eat here again any time we find ourselves on the island.

    Awesome view, first of all, of the ocean. It was a nice way of spending Thanksgiving with family and friends. Food was good! Menu had a variety of great choices. Waitress was very nice, patient, and accommodating.

    Wonderful service! Went with my 93-yr old MIL, who only ever orders a bowl of chowder. Everywhere we've been lately brings the chowder with our salad and she's done before we get our dinner. Our server last night brough her bowl with our meal...perfect! We split the Filet Mignon, ordered medium rare. It was cooked to PERFECTION! It was so flavorful and tender. The only other item on the plate was about a cup of mashed potatoes, no vegies, which was disappointing...especially for almost $60! We'll probably stick to going there for pupus or breakfast.

    We were seated overlooking the bay. Our food was delicious. My son and I had the Ono and my wife had the shrimp. We started with calamari and it was very good.

    I did not dine there. I booked the restaurant once we landed in Kona and was excited to have a dinner nearby. We arrived, paid for parking and were shocked to walk up to a completely closed up restaurant. Nobody reached back, apologized or acknowledged this error. And now I am getting this review request. This is not even funny. And to be clear, had been to this restaurant in the past and enjoyed it … no longer I consider it. Very sad!

    I booked this trip to Kona to start spoiling my wife for our anniversary. Fish Hopper was the first place I reserved for our trip. They saved me a window table closet to the water. We enjoyed the cocktails, local brews on tap, and an atmosphere that included an amazing sunset! We started with the poke nachos that were Awesome, my wife had the Coconut Shrimp and I had Mahi Mahi, both were great. Every new person that came to the table wished us happy anniversary, they even brought us some delicious desert options on the house!! Thank you for helping me to give my amazing partner an evening to remember!!

    We truly enjoyed our dining experience at Fish Hopper. Beautiful views of the ocean, excellent service and delicious food. We enjoyed the Maui salad, fish trio and house made chocolate cake. Prices reflect the described experience, but are not over the top. It’s Hawaii, so you have to expect prices are higher than the mainland.

    I had the shrimp trio which was very good and each one of the trio of shrimp tasted different but equally delicious. My friend got the fish trio and the first words out of his mouth - This is delicious! The veggies that accompanied our fish were cooked to perfection — neither over cooked or under cooked. We will certainly return to the Fish Hopper.

    Of all the restaurants we tried in Kona, this was the best. We tried the clam chowder, the crab tower and the shrimp trio as well as the mango ,lime cheesecake. All were excellent and beautifully presented. The wine lis t was good and reasonable. We have another night booked

    Our server was Very attentive, Really fun, Super efficient and even pointed out the dolphins! We got the table we requested. Food was wonderful and Fish Hopper honored veterans, I am a Marine, with a gift of an appetizer which was large and delicious!!!!

    For all the reviews I thought this would be a great spot. My steak was fine and I enjoyed it however the baked potatoes was way overdone. The other dish the mahi and grilled shrimp combo for what you paid lacked. Two shrimp and the fish looked and tasted like it was out of a box. Could do way better no where near a 140 meal.

    Fish Hopper was a fun place to eat and people watch on a busy weekend night. Food was good, although the coconut shrimp was burned and had to ask to get it remade. Not much coconut it tasted like regular fried shrimp. Pasta dish was much better. Prices on the high side for the quality of food.

    Went here for brunch with my girlfriends and it was fantastic! The view was absolutely incredible, we got seated at the tables nearest to the ocean. The service was very quick and attentive. Two of us ordered the Dungeness crab Benedict and we also ordered the macadamia nut French toast with strawberries! It was SO good! Plus we got lilikoi margaritas and coffee. 10/10 brunch experience, definitely recommend!

    The View on the bay is the best part of Fish Hopper….Service is Good , they try to accommodate you the best they can, certain dishes are good…cheese biscuits and gravy are surprisingly very good, omelets are just Ok, and potatoes should be crisp , not soggy!! Overall , go for the view and hope for the best with your choice off the menu!!

    While we have enjoyed many favorites at Fish Hopper over the years I would say the dish that goes without comparison is their fish and chips. The fish is Ono and the French fries are crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The pineapple coleslaw and the perfect tartar sauce makes for a world class offering. All this with great on the ocean views and wonderful service.

    The view was great. We have been there MANY times before, but this time the food was not nearly as good. The bathrooms were very dirty. It seems to be going downhill. Sorry to see that happening.
