Not my first time to eat here and the food was fantastic as usual. The Mahi Mahi was absolutely fabulous. We finished off with the carrot cake. OMG it was delicious. Andrea was our hostess and she was great. So great service, great food and a beautiful view of the bay. What more could one ask for.

As ALWAYS the food was outstanding as was my Bloody Mary with bacon. They offer delicious menu options so there’s plenty of choices. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the Fish Hopper, especially for breakfast.

It was a quick breakfast before catching a plane, we were glad they were open at 7:00 AM. We were more than thrilled with the flavor and quality of the food. And the service was fast and efficient. The view was perfect to say goodbye to Kona for another year. We will be back next year and try a dinner there.

In my opinion best breakfast restaurant in Kona hands down. The plates are all delicious as are the drinks (the Bloody Mary’s are outstanding). Today’s visit was our very first where the service was poor. After being seated it took over 10 minutes for a server to come by and the restaurant wasn’t busy. We then ordered our meals and after a few minutes I was informed they didn’t have the meal I ordered, corn beef and hash brown with 2 eggs. I ordered another meal and it was delicious.

This is our third time having dinner at the Fish Hopper. Andrea took care of our family and did a wonderful job with outstanding Customer Service. We remembered Andrea from our previous visit, and Andrea remembered us! Food is very good. View is amazing! Recommend the boat platter as the appetizer for a great selection of seafood. It is priced on the higher end, but we did get value for the $. It is soo good! The cocktails and desserts are great too. I highly recommend this restaurant as a stop on your next trip to Kona! Ask for Andrea to serve you. Mahalo! Wilfred

We are local people, long time residents of Kona. We love to come here! The view is outstanding. The food does not disappoint. My husband loves the clam chowder in the bread bowl. If you want to share a dinner with family or friends consider The Boat with fish, sea food and steak. Excellent! Breakfast is a good option. Make a reservation.

I mentioned I was a veteran and they put a small American flag on my table, gave us a free appetizer and a free dessert. I truly felt like my being a Veteran was appreciated. The food was fantastic and our waiter Brent was fun and did an outstanding job. Thank you to everyone at the Fish Hopper and thank you Brent for doing a great job.

Celiacs, this is your heaven in Kona! They provided a separate menu for us!!!!! It included almost everything on the regular menu too. Just opt out of fried food and you have so many delicious choices! I had the seafood risotto and it was amazingly wonderful. It was SO GREAT to be in a restaurant that takes cooking for celiac disease seriously. I felt relaxed knowing they are fully aware of cross-contamination and ingredients. Fish Hopper is a real gem among restaurants that either don't even try to feed us, or those that pretend they have gluten free options, but really do not. Thank you Fish Hopper for helping me have a lovely dining experience in Kona, Hawaii!

Not sure if it’s a message issue with open table and the restaurant, but they did not acknowledge our special occasion. It is our 30 th wedding anniversary. Not that it’s anything special, but my wife and I are living with incurable cancer and we wanted to visit one our favorite places to celebrate. The food was good as it usually is. The noise however, was unpleasant, almost caused us to leave. There were large parties of 10 or more. I can’t understand why guests think they can have a conversation with someone 6 feet away when it’s this loud. I would recommend FH to my younger friends and anyone who doesn’t mind yelling at everyone near you.

Food is always amazing! It is our favorite restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner & indulge weekly. We avoid the busy times as it gets quite noisy. Sometimes we just forgo the meal & enjoy the breathtaking view over a cocktail or cappuccino! Will be back tomorrow with guests so they can enjoy it too!

Beautiful view of the ocean from every table. The ambiance is casual nice. I took my large group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us with no problem (we did call in advance). Every one of my family members was happy with their food. Our favorites were the risotto with the grilled munchan fish, on top macadamia nut, crusted, mahi-mahi, and the seared ono fish.
