   …what a charming restaurant!…loved the ambience and location close to Dupont Circle….not 5-star, though….server did not greet us at all…just asked if we were ready to order! The lamb gnocchi was bland….gnocchi were light and heavenly…but dish itself had no flavor. Beet salad was fresh and delicious….and the chocolate mousse was unique and satisfying. I am still bothered by dogs in restaurants…noisy and inquisitive….but I guess I need to change with the times! …overall….6 out of 10…

   Floriana was delightful! Had dinner on the patio with friends and we loved everything we ordered. Pasta has good portions so left no room for dessert. Can’t wait to come back.

   The calamari paired with homemade salsa was perfection as were the scallop and rockfish entrees. All questions re: food preparation, seasoning, etc. were directed to and professionally responded by our most wonderful server, Maria. As the evening proceeded, it became noisy. The manager, Bat, came to the rescue and reseated my husband and I so we could celebrate his birthday in the most wonderful ambience. Thank you both. I am certain that our return visit will be as positively memorable.

   Everyone from the server to the manager was so accommodating and friendly! They made us feel welcome. The food was also delicious. I recommend the burrata ravioli. Eating outside was very pleasant.

   I went here for Mother's day brunch and it was just okay. We had salmon benedict and spinach benedict. The salmon had burned char on the side and the restaurant claimed it was just the herbs. It did not look appetizing to eat at all. The fries on the side did not have any seasoning at all. I was not impressed by the food at all.

    Food was wonderful. Small exception - beet salad did not seem to be fresh, as if made ahead and kept in refrigerator. Everything else delicious. Ambience lovely. Gentleman who greeted in the entrance a little strange, as if we had come into a private space. Waiter was fantastic.

    We are repeat customers and whenever we are in DC we always return to Floriana. The food and staff are wonderful. I only wish it was not a trip across country to enjoy it.

    We all enjoyed our meals. The waiter didn’t offer any suggestions or seem enthused about serving that evening. The noise level was so loud we had to put our heads in close to enjoy our birthday celebration. We were never offered a dessert menu. We would not go back to this restaurant.

    Everyone at this restaurant is extremely helpful and attentive. Even the chef came to our table to clarify my request for low salt in the preparation of my main course. If I could change one thing it is the noise level (but everyone was having a great time) and it is difficult to complain about the happy sounds.

    After coming here regularly when living/working part time in DC, we had been away much too long. The staff, and food were every bit as good as I remembered. I could check all the categories: everyday dining, special occasion,business meal and friends’ get together. They all apply.

    I really wanted to love this place but we didn’t the food was average in especially the appetizers the service was bad not friendly and very short like he wanted us to leave maybe because it was a weekday at 9:00pm there wasn’t soft music to add to the ambiance you can hear people talking loud hopefully they will get better on those things the main course was pretty good

    I always enjoy grabbing dinner at Floriana. The outdoor seating is always peaceful and the staff are very accommodating of dogs. Many great points: menu is stacked with delicious classics, generous pours of wine, and the place has a welcoming neighborhood feel.

    Second time I have been there. Sat outside on a pleasant spring evening. Enjoyed a good bottle of wine recommended by the waiter for 50% off. My three companions would have given 5 of 5 for the quality of the food; I had the duck entree and it was a bit bland, but still good quality. I had a duck entree there on a prior visit and it had been outstanding. Dessert menu could be stronger, meaning a couple more choices would have been nice. The following morning, the four of us were still talking about what a nice experience we had at Floriana, especially considering the excellent value of the meals.     Listen, folks, I'm not too proud to admit when I've made a mistake. And let me tell you, I have been SLEEPING on this place. I mean, I went for restaurant week and it was just okay - nothing to write home about. But, oh boy, did I have a revelation when I went back with a friend last week. We ordered the Tortelloni Mignon - which is like a fancy way of saying "filet stuffed in ravioli". And let me tell you, this dish was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. It was like the heavens had opened up and the pasta gods were singing. I'm talking one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life, and that includes my trips to Italy. So, yeah, you could say I'll be going back soon. And this time, I won't be sleeping on this place - I'll be fully awake, alert, and ready to feast on some more of that heavenly Tortelloni Mignon. Pro Tip, the inside gets very loud, sit outside if you are dining with more quiet talkers.

    Food was just ok. We have had WAY better Italian in and around dc. We with said we would NOT be back …especially for $130 for 2. We sat outside but when I had to use the restroom, I had to walk in and upstairs. Not great for every person!

    Delicious pasta, salads and bread. Restaurant itself is two very small rooms in an old home and tables are literally on top of each other. Felt awkward that we were overhearing others conversations all evening to the right and left of us.
