The food actually tasted good. However the menu is not at all a reflection of the menu posted on here. It’s a pub menu and they only have wine, beer and ciders. I expected a modified fine dining experience and did not get it. The service was terrible and slow. It would be fine for families and kids. Not date worthy.
Service was excellent. Was disappointed with the food as we were expecting the Flour Mill menu not the casual fare pop up patio menu. Also no cocktails only limited beer, premixed coolers and wine. Our server made our experience - very attentive and accommodating. Wish we had asked his name to give him kudos for his hard work in the heat.
Breakfast was absolutely outstanding both taste wise and presentation! I enjoyed the variety of jams to try. Eggs, bacon, and potatoes were cooked to perfection.
It was very beautiful and the food was 5 star! It was my second time there and the food was even better this time! Highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing staff and chefs!
Absolutely gorgeous dinning set up. Impeccable staff. An assortment of food choices. Overall 100% satisfaction!
A+ for ambience. We came for brunch, portions were generous, we couldn't finish. But we also got the maple bacon tree just for the gram. Service was alright, we asked if we could switch to an empty window seat when we arrived but was declined. There were tons of seats available so it didn't seem like it was reserved. Brunch was just over $100, but we did opt for some extra things.
lobster poutine = On the verge of too salty, but edible. Wish there was more lobster meat.
Raspberry mimosas = yummmyyy
BLT = good
Me and my girlfriend had a dinner reserved for Valentines. Place and atmosphere ware beautiful but our main dish got served only after 2 hours, they’ve messed up with our order. Clearly they were short on waitresses and to serve our drinks took them a long time as well. Food was pretty good, as I’ve expected. At the end They took off drinks from our bill and then next day I realized they’ve charged me for some mushrooms appetizer that I never ordered. Overall it’s a great place, great food, service was really disappointing for that kind of place. Maybe at some other day things could look differently at this restaurant but at that Friday we left disappointed.
The food was very good but the service was terrible. Our dinning experience lasted 3 hours. Waited almost 45min before I received my drinks. Food was amazing but was only warm by the time it hit our table. I blame the servers so not to take away from the skill of the chef. If the service was on par then I can justify the almost 200 dollar cheque at the end. But I receive better service at my local sports bar. The atmosphere of the restaurant made the long waits tolerable. All said and done I would return hoping that the service was just a one time thing.
The Host and the busboy were rush, rushing so fast back and forth that it was Very distracting. One dinner was hot; one was cold? Apparently understaffed for the wknd. The hot plate was delicious and when rewarmed so was the other. I would go back on a slower day to learn more about the historic setting.
Eggs Benedict was fabulous. Also tried the benigets, made perfectly. Great, fresh, delicious food. Beautiful restaurant
Very special to sit by the real fireplace in wingback chairs for our 50th Anniversary
Dinner . Judy was very attentive and extremely personable. She helped make our
evening special . Our dinner was delicious!!!
We would definitely come back when in Niagara and recommend this restaurant.
The dining room atmosphere ,being old stone mill , was very romantic .
Our recent visit was quite underwhelming compared to our last visit earlier this year. The dining area was quite lovely as we were seated by a window. We were greeted by our server soon after who brought us our coffee, but after that, our experience seemed to go downhill from there. After ordering our meals, there was quite a long period of waiting - over 30 minutes. Unfortunately, our server did not check in with us or asked if we needed anything during that time. When we finally got our dishes, my Salmon Quiche was not warm and was surprisingly quite bland. I was disappointed as it was listed as one of their signature dishes. My husband's BLT was also just okay. We also were unfortunate to have a family sitting close by who had a very frustrated little boy during our dining experience. And although his noise level was not any fault of the restaurant, it pretty much was icing on the cake. I really do hope our experience was an isolated incident. Our first visit to the restaurant for brunch was quite lovely which made us decide to return. Perhaps we will revisit again in the future - but not for brunch.
went here for a New Year’s Eve dinner. wasn’t aware of the set menu pricing upon booking, would have been helpful to know this. staff seemed overwhelmed (maybe short staffed?)
our server was kind and brought a beer sample and accommodated my celiac disease.beautiful looking restaurant, food was delicious. would return.
Beautiful restaurant in a hundred plus year old former flour mill. Great food and service. Great choice to get away from the chain restaurants in the rest of Niagara Falls. Building is beautiful and staff were very nice.
Food was amazing. The location is beautiful and the service was fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for more. It was very quiet but we also had a fairly late reservation on a Sunday. Will definitely be going back.
The meal was great. A great find.
We made reservations for 7 pm thinking that Google's direction indicated an 11 minute walk.... It turned out we were mis-lead by Google going around for 50 minutes. YES, 50 minutes late. We were so embarrassed finally arriving at the restaurant. A warm welcoming from the waitress and offering a cozy seating by the fireplace makes us feel coming home for dinner. The food was amazing. 😋 Though we missed out on the fireworks, but no regret. You guys are the best! We'll definitely be back next time when we're in the area.
THANK YOU 💖
Great atmosphere. The food was good exceptional and there was plenty of it
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience for Christmas Day dinner at the Flour Mill. We were running late but were greeted very cordially by the host. He was very pleasant and efficient and continued to check with us during our dinner. The server was also pleasant and efficient. The food was excellently prepared and delicious. The restaurant was decorated very festively for the holidays. We will certainly return to the Flour Mill and recommend the restaurant to our family and friends.
Very nice resto with great service.
Meals were delicious, if not a little pricey - but the Flour Mill provides a nice up-scale dining experience in the midst of Niagara's wealth of modest dining options.
3 out of 4 enjoyed our meal very much. The other found her duck tough, but enjoyed the rest. She was not charged for the meal and was much appreciated. The room was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and we will definately return.
Overall disappointing. None of three sparkling wines available were brut. The dining room was cold- and there are fireplaces, none of which were in use. Most disappointing, however, was that the restaurant advertises that if it is within three days of your birthday and you make reservations, your main course is free. This is not true. We still were charged for my wife's meal.
Good food, enjoyed it very much. Obvious party being held which seemed to occupy the staff. Slow about clearing the table of used glasses etc.
We choose this place for ours birthdays celebration we book a table for 2 , we went for a brunch the place Only had 2 customers so not busy at all , the service was horrible the staff not even do what they offer at the website ; Celebrate your Birthday with special friends and family at The Flour Mill Scratch Kitchen Restaurant, your Birthday dinner entrée is compliments of the family and staff at the Flour Mill Scratch Kitchen. What the offer never happens they were rude and not even complemented myself or my husband we couldn’t sit inside they told us not light so they put us in an area who was very cold , the only good thing about this restaurant is the food we really love the freshness the attention is very poor . We may go back just to give a change but if you are going for special celebrations please go to Morton’s the food is amazing plus the service is magnificent we went for dinner the place was busy and they tread us so good a soon we came to the door the congratulates us for ours birthdays and they make the table and everything so special for us so definitely I encourage you go there 5 ⭐️
I have been to FLour MIll at least 10 times in my life. Always enjoyed it and that’s why I always go back. Until now. I reserved a table for 2 by the fireplace for my wife and my 5th anniversary. We got there they had no idea, and put us in a busy corner / walkway. This was where we ate on our first date and why it meant so much. Kinda ruined my night
A lovely dinner and great service with Brad. Pricing was appropriate for the quality. Great place for that special meal. The chef and our server Brad get 5 stars.
We enjoyed every part of our dining experience at the Flower Mill and would absolutely go back!! The food was top notch and the place absolutely adorable but what put it ahead of many other restaurants we’ve gone to was our amazing server! Judit was funny and thoughtful and made our evening! Highly recommend!!
Unbelievable breakfast! Start off with with the Old English if you can. The pastries were some of the best I've ever had. My wife had the French Toast Brulee and I followed our starter with the Chef's Skillet, both incredible and absolutely enormous. The French Press was also a nice addition. Our server was friendly and attentive, but definitely have us room to breath. Overall an excellent experience!
Amazing experience. Rami was our waiter, he was one of the best waiters I have had. thank you for making our night so enjoyable.
Très bon restaurant, je le télécommande sans hésiter. Service impeccable, très bonne nourriture, belle présentation, etc
À refaire !!!
My husband and I loved the place. We seldom eat out because we often feel that the quality of food is not worth the money being charged for it, so we prefer to cook at our home.
The Flour Mill Restaurant is a rare gem: the food was absolutely delicious - real good food. The atmosphere - very elegant, but relaxed and comfortable, and the service - professional, but not forced at all.
After a splendid dinner we went back for breakfast and they did not disappoint once again.
So nice to find a place that still offers what has unfortunately become almost absolete: old world elegance and good quality natural food. Thank you, we would love to come back.
Excellent service and staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Great food and drinks.
service was good. Food was phenomenal. A bit pricy but you can’t complain because it’s in the middle of centre falls basically so for the area and quality of food. It’s great. Also it was my birthday so I got my entire meal free. Amazing. defiantly would come back
Elevated dining experience in a well-preserved and absolutely lovely historic venue! We enjoyed every minute of our brunch - and appreciated Raimy’s exceptional service and patience with our son (who had a million questions on maple syrup). Flour Mill Restaurant is a unique gem in the Niagara Falls area - authentic, well-curated menu, high quality perfection!
A fantastic hidden gem in a completely unassuming location in Niagara Falls.
My wife and I make a point to eat here every time we visit the town. Always an enjoyable experience.
Was not fully satisfied with entree. Service was slow. Found small bones in my meal. Presentation is nice. Expected much better.
First time in Canada for my birthday with friends and dinner here was absolutely AMAZING. We went to dinner at Skylon Tower the night before and left incredibly disappointed. We chose to do Flour Mill the next night and had the best culinary experience we’ve had in a while. Our waiter knew the menu inside and out, the restaurant was quiet and quite private and the food was delicious. We loved it so much we came back for breakfast the next morning. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Food was amazing, large portion, more importantly delicious. Staff were grumpy, waited 15 mins before anyone acknowledged the crowd waiting to be seated ( many seats available so likely understaffed) would give a second chance based on quality and taste of food.
Champagne pancakes are not to be missed. The breakfast here is fantastic!
