Flour Mill Restaurant
A lovely dinner and great service with Brad. Pricing was appropriate for the quality. Great place for that special meal. The chef and our server Brad get 5 stars.
We enjoyed every part of our dining experience at the Flower Mill and would absolutely go back!! The food was top notch and the place absolutely adorable but what put it ahead of many other restaurants we’ve gone to was our amazing server! Judit was funny and thoughtful and made our evening! Highly recommend!!
Unbelievable breakfast! Start off with with the Old English if you can. The pastries were some of the best I've ever had. My wife had the French Toast Brulee and I followed our starter with the Chef's Skillet, both incredible and absolutely enormous. The French Press was also a nice addition. Our server was friendly and attentive, but definitely have us room to breath. Overall an excellent experience!
Amazing experience. Rami was our waiter, he was one of the best waiters I have had. thank you for making our night so enjoyable.
Très bon restaurant, je le télécommande sans hésiter. Service impeccable, très bonne nourriture, belle présentation, etc
À refaire !!!
My husband and I loved the place. We seldom eat out because we often feel that the quality of food is not worth the money being charged for it, so we prefer to cook at our home.
The Flour Mill Restaurant is a rare gem: the food was absolutely delicious - real good food. The atmosphere - very elegant, but relaxed and comfortable, and the service - professional, but not forced at all.
After a splendid dinner we went back for breakfast and they did not disappoint once again.
So nice to find a place that still offers what has unfortunately become almost absolete: old world elegance and good quality natural food. Thank you, we would love to come back.
Excellent service and staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Great food and drinks.
service was good. Food was phenomenal. A bit pricy but you can’t complain because it’s in the middle of centre falls basically so for the area and quality of food. It’s great. Also it was my birthday so I got my entire meal free. Amazing. defiantly would come back
Elevated dining experience in a well-preserved and absolutely lovely historic venue! We enjoyed every minute of our brunch - and appreciated Raimy’s exceptional service and patience with our son (who had a million questions on maple syrup). Flour Mill Restaurant is a unique gem in the Niagara Falls area - authentic, well-curated menu, high quality perfection!
A fantastic hidden gem in a completely unassuming location in Niagara Falls.
My wife and I make a point to eat here every time we visit the town. Always an enjoyable experience.
Was not fully satisfied with entree. Service was slow. Found small bones in my meal. Presentation is nice. Expected much better.
First time in Canada for my birthday with friends and dinner here was absolutely AMAZING. We went to dinner at Skylon Tower the night before and left incredibly disappointed. We chose to do Flour Mill the next night and had the best culinary experience we’ve had in a while. Our waiter knew the menu inside and out, the restaurant was quiet and quite private and the food was delicious. We loved it so much we came back for breakfast the next morning. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Food was amazing, large portion, more importantly delicious. Staff were grumpy, waited 15 mins before anyone acknowledged the crowd waiting to be seated ( many seats available so likely understaffed) would give a second chance based on quality and taste of food.
Champagne pancakes are not to be missed. The breakfast here is fantastic!
Great place for breakfast. Very friendly and quite. Good selection was excellent and the ambience was just what we wanted after the noise and hectic atmosphere of our hotel.
A great restaurant that never disappoints, outstanding meal and service
The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable and the food is amazing. There is an option for everyone and it is all delicious. There are heavy and indulgent breakfasts as well as lighter ones. The decor and atmosphere also quite nice and cozy. The chairs were old-school high-back lounge chairs and the interior was a combo of brick and wood.
This was our first time to Niagara Falls and our first time to this restaurant. The place has a comfortable warm feeling to it and is tastefully decorated. The menu is varied to suit any tastes and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The wine list was well chosen. Our server was as nice as could be which just added to this wonderful experience. Our experience here makes us want to return to Niagara Falls just to come back to dine here again.
Considering the rest of the restaurants in the area, this place is pretty good. My only real issue, is that the staff was overwhelmed. Aka the place is understaffed. Our waitress was great, but just was being pulled too many ways by management. We decided to go to Mortons for desert and after dinner drinks. Hire more wait staff and have all your booze on a list. When someone asks for a whisky and a manager asks "what do you want, we have a lot" then replies "we don't have that", that isn't good. I shouldn't have to play games when dropping this kind of money.
Excellent service!...our server was very nice. Food was really good! And the atmosphere was great!
Great breakfast dish - very creative and satisfying- fresh and wholesome !
Great breakfast restaurant and then some
Really wonderful food, with very fresh ingredients. Menu is eclectically curated. Service was attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend and would dine again. I had the greens, oysters, and vegan risotto. The noise level was low when I was there due to there being fewer people, but if all tables were filled I could see it getting loud due to all of the wood and hard furnishings in the room. There isn’t much to absorb sound.
We were celebrating our 20 year wedding Anniversary and had a lovely time. The food was amazing, our server was fantastic and the atmosphere was wonderful. The only down side was the Asian gentleman at the host table. He sat us down at one table and we asked to switch to a different one. He said he might need that table for customers with four guests. The entire place was empty but 2 other tables. After a few minutes he came back and said they would grant our request and move us. Otherwise my husband and I both have it on the top of our list for favourite restaurant.
A hidden gem! Enjoyed 3 meals @ Flour Mill in a 48 hour window. Food is fabulous. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is serene and inviting. We loved everything about this place and would highly recommend.
Excellent food, very romantic setting, and the service, attention and detail that we received from our server Laura was the best we've ever experienced anywhere!!
Breakfast took 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive. When asked why it was taking so long the waiter responded "how can I explain this so you can understand" Which was utterly astounding that he would belittle a paying customer with such an insulting question. We so upset by his response that we got up to leave and was met by the manager who offered explanations for his rude behaviour but did not once offer an apology.
Ambiance of an overall nice evening dining experience ruined by playing of a kids movie on a large screen in the main restaurant!!!
Quaint place for breakfast away from the crowd.
I found similar meals at other restaurants like the table rock restaurant to have better food and selection
The food was wonderful. We enjoyed a nice quiet brunch. All the food was of high quality.
Absolutely amazing meal and service. Our waiter (Scott) was very knowledgeable regarding the wine list and menu and made us feel very welcomed. He took in interest in getting to know us (and his other tables) and is one of the few truly exceptional waiters I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Our meals were prepared perfectly and dessert was delicious. An overall fantastic experience.
The Flour Mill is an unexpected jewel nestled across from a gaudy tourist attraction of Niagra Falls. The beautiful old flour mill and inn are discreet amongst the typical touristy spots. A beautifully restored building with original exposed stone walls set the backdrop for a romantic meal amongst leather, velvet, and dark wood. Old movies are projected on one wall while the low hum of conversation envelops one. The food was exquisitely prepared and obviously fresh. Local Niagra wines dominate the wine list, and rightly so. We had an excellent Pinot Noir from just up the road at Niagra-on-the-Lake, and the braised rabbit parpadelle was the table favorite.
Went here for a later breakfast on a Monday, so it wasn’t too busy.
To preface this review, the food was fine - we were just forgotten about (Or Or certainly seemed like it) by our server. She was working hard, so it wasn’t a ‘lazy’ thing - we just awkwardly were ‘forgotten about’ after ordering coffee and was asked if we were ready to order - which we said ‘yes’ - then she walked away and had to flag her down 20 minutes after getting that coffee.
Overall, the food was pretty good, but tough to say it was worth the high(er) cost all said and done. The eggs in the avocado toast were actually poached hard (vs soft or medium), and the pancakes were very dry and thick (needed a good deal of syrup, which had to be ordered separately).
Family friendly yet elevated dining. The space was welcoming and unique, service on point. The food was really good, solid portions, and thorough wine list.
We enjoyed it , went there for my birthday.
Nice atmosphere, comfortable setting , staff really polite
The candied bacon is incredibly delicious! Great atmosphere excellent service.
Dinner for 4 on Aug 2nd. Maitre D was accommodating and allowed us to order tapas menu items from bar to be served in the dining room. We ordered all tapas items except for the striploin slider. Then added oyster, venison tartare, and scallop from the appetizer section of the main dining room menu. Finished with Rabbit pappardelle, pickerel, filet mignon and the duck, plus two vegetable sides. Had one red and one white wine recommended by sommelier.
Overall, while the service was good and friendly, the overall food quality was just not up to standard- especially done-ness and flavoring issues.
It's an interesting menu offering more unusual items compared to standard fine dining fare. But the dishes were overall just simply not very good. Hoping that perhaps the chef just had an off night...
I selected this restaurant based on reviews here and was not disappointed. We dined on a Wednesday, and our only note was we were sad it wasn't a more popular destination because the ambiance was nice, service was great and food was excellent. We had communicated with the staff ahead and were assured they could accomodate low sodium request, as they are a scratch kitchen. They did not disappoint. All three meals were fanstastic, with lovely service.
No other patrons at this place. Hmmmm.
Very nice server, She pushed the stale cake. Food sucks. Their specialty dessert chocolate layer cake was three days old and from the back of the refrigerator. Nice decor.
Do not bother !! I regret leaving a tip.
