Always great meal.
Started with the pan bread, followed by the beet salad, ended with the bison. All were absolutely excellent!
food was amazing!!! service was a little bit rushed
Brunch was really good!
As always eating at Forage was a great experience. Josh provided great recommendations and was always on top of our dining experience, and he went above and beyond in helping us feel comfortable and VIP :)
Great veggie options, food is really well done. Little pricey for some of the menu items.
Forage is easily my favourite brunch restaurant in all of Vancouver. You could close your eyes and point at the menu and whatever you get it will be good! The ingredients are the highest quality - local, fresh, in -season, and the chefs put so much care into creating and plating the dishes. A testament to the service is the long retention value this restaurant has for its employees. The bill might be slightly higher for this restaurant than just an eggs and toast place, but the prices are very good for what you get. I always get an order of the scones to start, if you like lattes try their homemade cashew milk lattes, the "green juice" is delicious and healthy, and my favourte go-to dishes for brunch are the two rivers turkey sausage hash with roasted vegetables and eggs or the bison hash dish. Call ahead to make a reservation! I'm not the only one that loves this place (or you can always sit at the welcoming counter too).
Service was fantastic as was the food. Fresh, tasty, and unique!
We had reservations for a party of six on a Friday night. I was excited for the family-style service and liked the menu concept. We enjoyed our meal but everyone at the table agreed that the portions were too small to be shared amongst six people, it was hard to really get more than a taste of each dish. Service was also very slow and inconsistent. Sometimes there would be large gaps between dishes, sometimes multiple dishes would come out at once. Lastly, I was disappointed by the selection of non-alcoholic drinks. They definitely pushed bottles of wine, but when I asked about non-alcoholic beverages from the bar, I was told there was only either ginger beer or seltzer water - not a huge deal but a little disappointing. All in all, we agreed we enjoyed the food but wouldn't dine at Forage again.
Absolutely brilliant! Love the concept of sharing plates. Our server was amazing! Can't wait to visit again.
Very loud, and seating is very close together unfortunately
I heard about Forage on one of the in-flight videos on Delta Airlines, and figured I give it a try due to the farm-to-fork menu. What a wonderful dining experience; each item I ordered was so flavorful (layers of flavors and textures) and well prepared. I heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The food here is really quite good, however, this is not a fast-food joint. They need to learn to pace the food and drink delivery so people can slowly savor these tasty and nicely presented dishes and have another glasses of wine (or two) while they are enjoying the food.
Food and service was great! Prices and portions are as expected, has delicious vegetarian options that we enjoyed! One interested thing was that it shared a single unisex bathroom with the a more causal restaurant it was next to, which I found it very weird given that restaurant was louder and very sporty. You had to almost leave the restaurant using a heavy glass door to get to the bathroom, which was not very convenient.
Great food, service and wine/spirit/beer selection. Had a great time catching-up with some old friends I haven’t seen for years. A memorable evening.
We did a bachelorette weekend brunch and Forage was spectacular as always! Delicious food! 👏🏼👏🏼 Great and thoughtful service from the moment we walked in until we walked out.
Excellent food and service. A bit noisy though. Totally recommendable
Excellent flavors. Protein heavy, though there are veg dishes they weren't green, more root and mushroom based. Service was too notch. Cocktails and wine were very good.
Excellent food. Like so so excellent! We will return when we return to Vancouver. Everything was different and perfectly excuted. The flavours exquisite.
It was really nice, food was delicious but felt the value wasnt there for the price of the main dishes
Apps and desserts were good value for price. Josh made the experience way better Thanks Josh
We really enjoyed the food, flavor combinations and attention to detail is superb. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The desert was underwhelming in taste but looked very nice. The drink was OK, was expecting a bit more. Duck was amazing but i wish it came wit some sort of vegetables, was missing the balance for very rich meat for me. i was glad that my friend ordered mushrooms so i could get this balance from her dish. Overall was a very nice experience.
4th time over several years at Forage, food still very good although menu doesn’t seem to change so often
Creative local fare, beautifully cooked and presented. Small portions made to share. We ordered 4 plates for 4 people and should have ordered more. Not many carbs on the menu so among your selections order one of the pasta plates. Leave room for dessert, ..small but worth-it! This restaurant should appeal to foodies but not big appetites.
We tried the new chowder, a rich smoky flavour and a shrimp like crostini that was yummy! A definite must try again
Food was well presented but overall quality and experience is overrated, in my opinion.
Scones great mushroom omelette horrible. Oatmeal bowl also bland.
A friend’s birthday
We decided to order our own dishes for main course. We were a group of 6 and everyone’s dinner came out at different times. Not ideal.
Also, it was quite loud and difficult to carry on a conservation.
Really good quality food, great service, though it felt a bit crowded and maybe a tad overpriced.
Innovative dishes, very tasty. We had lamb neck pasta that had lots of flavour. The pasta was fresh, melt in your mouth. The mushroom appetizer was also excellent.
Fresh and unique menu..always a great choice! Highly recommended
Dinner was excelleant, except one person at our table had to wait an additional 10-15 mins for her dinner because they made a mistake with her order. We had all finished our dinner by then.
She is celiac but had emailed ahead of time to make sure they could accomadate which they were happy to do
This restaurant was suggested to us by our daughter for a birthday dinner. WOW! It did not disappoint. Our server, Brent, could not have been a more perfect fit for us. He was friendly, attentive, respectful, helpful and humorous to boot! The food was artfully presented and absolutely delicious. We had the yummy pig tails to start, followed by the delectable sablefish, brown butter gnocchi and the bison steak. For dessert, the elderflower and fromage frais cheese puff. We had a bottle of the Pentage red blend and a bottle of the Howling Owl Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon to accompany the food and both were outstanding. After the meal, I asked to speak to the manager, Matthew, to compliment him on the whole spectacular experience, and he was as friendly and welcoming as Brent was. He clearly sets a good example for his staff! We would return in a heartbeat and fully intend to!
Creative cuisine, fresh and local with an extensive wine list of BC wines. Wonderful customer service and nice ambiance. I can not recommend the bbq duck chowder enough.
Our group was generously accommodated even when the restaurant had officially stopped seating guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the food which is beautifully presented and delicately prepared from the best local sources. Our server went above and beyond to make our evening in Vancouver memorable!
Good flavors bit noisy when full
The food was exquisite. The portions were small as is expected in this kind of restaurant. The clientele seemed to be mostly business travelers, which made sense considering it is connected to a boutique hotel.
Truly excellent bison steak, prepared perfectly rare.
One of the best steak plates I have ever had.
Would return just for that.
Delicious, fresh, great presentation. Will definetily be returning.
