forage Ratings and Reviews
Amazing, creative and interesting food and excellent selection of wine and beer. Highly recommended.
I can't say enough about how delicious that pork belly special was! Crispy crackling topped with ikura made for a truly memorable dish. I cannot wait to come back and have it again!
Breakfast at Forage is a treat! We enjoyed the scones and pancakes best, but everything was delicious
Although it didn't take long for us to get seated, it took about 30- 35 minutes for our dishes to arrive. I understand since it is Sunday morning and it is busy. However, the environment is quite noisy, we could barely hear each other most of the time. The food overall is very good.
Served family style and was absolutely amazing! Each dish was perfect and complimented each other.
The food is outstanding -- beautiful to look at, interesting textures and colours...and DELICIOUS. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices reflect the quality ingredients and labour-intensive preparation -- this is not stuff you're going to be making at home.
Go with lots of people so you can try a bit of everything. I had to restrain myself from licking the plates!
Great venue, food and service. This is my second time at Forage and it was equally impressive this time as well. Food is very fresh and they keep the dishes coming at a perfect pace. Service is excellent with a knowledgeable, quick-witted server. A new favorite!
great food service and value. Coffee was really good
I thought the food was interesting, and the presentation was very nice. I enjoyed sharing the dishes with my dinner companion.
loved this restaurant! everything is sourced locally, which is neat, and cooked to perfection. service is friendly and professional.
Made a last-minute reservation for New Year's Eve dinner. The food (especially the oysters) and drinks were excellent, but the service was exceptional. Wish we could've stayed longer!
The food was amazing. Everytime I visit Canada I have to go get breakfast here!! Service wasn’t as good this past trip as previous. But I go for the food!
Service was exceptional! The menu, still great, but may be due for a refresh soon.
Great dining experience with our family over the holidays. Had been before and was looking forward to visiting again. Did not disappoint. Cory was a great waiter too!
It was first time to have dinner at this restaurant.
We thought this restaurant is quiet atmosphere before we go there.
It means not "Noisy". It means "Vibrant". Although there is hotel's restaurant, really friendly and good casual restaurant.
They have not so many variety of the menu but they have exclusive dishes. Especially, roasted pan bread was really good taste!
Staff was kind even though we are forigner. When we couldn't translate a ingridient, he serched for us by translate app. We really appriciate for him.
We enjoyed having dinner there and we want to go again. Thank you!
Decent but unexceptional. French toast was a bit too soggy and eggy. Merguez sausage was good— rich and a little spicy. Service was friendly but somewhat inattentive. Ambiance pleasant. Surprised by the strong reviews of this place, as I found nothing particularly special about it.
The food here was amazing! All of the flavours went so well together. Hats off to the amazing creativity of the chef. I would definitely get this restaurant and 10. The only small negative thing here was the space between the tables was literally about 2 inches so be prepared to be close to your neighbors. It didn't really bother us but may be something others might want be aware of.
Nice locally sourced plates, good ambiance and service with a smile.
We ate at forage as a family and shared different meals including pan bread, mixed cheese plates, duck, risotto, pork and gnocchi. Especially the risotto was really good and all the food tasted fresh and delicious!
Phenomenal breakfast. The potatoes are just amazing the best I've ever had. The service is also very friendly.
Reserved here for brunch during our family vacation in Vancouver. Food and service were great! Seemed a little pricey for Vancouver but totally delicious!
Had a great Christmas day brunch with our family. Very special on way back from Whistler to Seattle.
I love Forage - it is probably my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. However this most recent visit was spoiled by the hostess who welcomed us to the restaurant by telling us that the restaurant had a "hard close" at 2PM (our reservation was for 1:30) with no exceptions and we needed to be finished as quickly as possible. Another host tried to save the moment but the opportunity for a true welcome was gone for us. An $80 Christmas brunch should not begin in such a stressful manner. Our server was great and extremely helpful/knowledgeable. Food (kale salad, chicken liver pate, halibut cheek benny, and turkey hash) and drink (very unique naramata pear cider and amber lager) were delicious and plentiful - as always.
house made Nutella was the best ever. porkchop sandwich was yummy but a bit too fatty which was hard to spot. loved the home made jams. will go again
Was a set menu Christmas dinner complete with wine pairing. Food was good and service was spot on. Two hour slot to eat was just right and not rushed.
We went for brunch on Sunday. The restaurant is cozy, and the seating is pretty close together, the waitress had to get by my chair half a dozen times to check on the other table in the corner. Not a big deal for me, but mentioning it as it may bother some people.
I am vegan, as a note to any other vegans, there aren't many vegan options on the menu, but they can modify a menu item if you ask. The only downside is that you are still charged the full price minus the meat/ egg for the dishes with a little more vegetable. I got a veggie hash, and was charged for a Turkey hash. Would be nice if they added something else in place of the protein (e.g. side of mushrooms, crispy potatoes etc.).
The food was good, the hash comes with a couple different jams (might be different depending on the day). The server was friendly and accommodating.
Overall a good place to go for brunch on the weekend. It does get busy and you may have to wait if you don't make a reservation.
High quality food and a nice warm ambiance.
Food here is served family style. We had the flatbread, Brussels sprouts, Halibut cheeks and duck breast. We loved the Halibut and could have skipped the duck. We had the flexible chocolate for dessert which was scrumptious especially when paired with the Back Hand of God stout served on tap. Service was great even on a busy day so close to Christmas.
Beautiful Christmas Brunch, the food was soooooo delicious
We booked a table for 4 at Forage because my daughter had highly recommended it. I wish it was as good as she raved about it! We waited so long for our food. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks did, so in all we waited 30 minutes for our drinks. Each course took almost 25 minutes to arrive to the table, and when they did come we were famished...but what we saw were tiny portions that left us hungry for more. The duck breast was so small and it came out cold. We ordered a salad and it was very overdressed. After dinner we went across the street to eat ramen.
It was good.
Great food and service using local ingredients! Highly recommend this restaurant
Brunch was good. No issues with reservation. Service was slower than were used to. Server seemed overwhelmed. Overall good experience
forage was a wonderful experience with the best that BC has to offer. Being from away, it was amazing to be able to experience brilliant food right from BC. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Vancouver with a night to spare!
My wife and I went to Forage for an evening out dining downtown. We were very happy with the food and service. So much flavour in the dishes, and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, and return in the future!
Portions were small and really lacked a depth of flavour, overall found the meals to be bland. Table next to us also left half of their meals.
Fabulous everything. Professional and friendly service (thank you Jackson and Sebastian), amazing food, great wine.
Amazing place and people - delishus food!!
It was excellent
Went for brunch and we can’t stop talking about how delicious it was! We had turkey hash and corned bison hash, both outta the park!!!
