This is a great place for brunch. I have been there often and it is always great food and service.
My friends and I went to Forage for a casual dinner. The experience was great overall. The best part was the food, you can clearly tell they use fresh and high-quality ingredients by the taste of their dishes. Service is also good, the waiter was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back.
The one aspect I didn’t entirely like was that there was a lot of noise overall, making conversations harder.
The food was amazing, there were 5 of us and we tried most of the mains: scallops, pork duo, mushroom salad, and duck, they were perfect. And we ordered the pan cheese bread which was sweet and spicy. Our server was really nice and attentive.
Did the dine out, top quality food and was good.
Excellent service and delicious food. Great Dine Out Vancouver experience.
Samantha was awesome! very pleasant and excellent customer
service skills. not surprised, since she does originate from Qualicum Beach : )
great breaky thanks!
Also Brussel sprouts
Had a fantastic meal at Forage with a few friends. Excellent service, food and drinks. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Will return.
A commitment to seasonal local produce produces dividends in the food quality, which was excellent. The oysters were beautiful, the bison very tender and tasty. The chowder was rich and full of seafood - a great start. A few things only could have been improved - the brussels sprouts dish was a little bland; and a little bowl of sea salt and cracked pepper would be welcome.
Exceptional meal. Service (Daniel) was smooth and professional. All the staff in the restaurant were very friendly to the point that my son even commented how unusual (and nice) it was.
A lovely place to go with your significant other! Ambiance and noise level was just right for a good date night and conversational scene.
Also, food was delicious! However, they do come in small portions. They recommend you to share the plates, but I think it is a decent meal size for one.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience eating at Forage restaurant this past weekend. We had both dinner on Saturday night and brunch the following morning. Dinner was amazing, with combinations of flavours that were so unique and well-thought out. We were surprised just how much we loved everything we ordered (bison, albacore tuna, seafood clam chowder & pan bread dishes as well as an amazing cheesecake profitterol & gin-soaked blueberry dessert). The service was fantastic, our server Brent kept us up to date when needed, refilled our drinks as necessary and had a great sense of humour. We would happily visit again.
Brunch was also a treat, with decent sized portions (enough to fill up my husband), delicious coffee and a little more relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar for brunch and were very comfortable there.
The only thing that personally bothered me were the tvs in the restaurant. While they showed lovely images of food prepared by the restaurant and images of events they have held, it was distracting to me at times as they were right behind my husband.
Food and service were both amazing. Highly recommend this dining experience.
Fantastic restaurant, with amazing food. Everything here was soooo good! Honestly, do yourself a favour and go for dinner at Forage!!
Great food and service, Brunch was really tasty. Would go back 100%
This us a fantastic restaurant- amazing and creative local ingredients. And our server was the best...hilarious and informative. Highly recommend Vancouverites!!!
O.M.G! My husband and I are Michelin restaurant snobs (not trying to be glorified, just giving a reference point) and we absolutely LOVED Forage dinner! We were looking for a place online and when I first saw the menu, it was so out there I honestly questioned trying it. Thank god we did!! We even loved it SO much that we went back for brunch the next day! We actually met some people at dinner that had come back because they loved their brunch so much that morning and then guess what?! We ran into them there again at brunch the next day too so they went 3 times! Both dinner and brunch were amazing. For dinner you MUST try the carpaccio and the gnocchi. Gnocchi is one of my FAVORITE foods and I swear this is the best I’ve ever had. Oh and the Elderflower dessert was to die for!! For breakfast the garlic and herb scone as a side to the lentils is fabulous as well! TRUST ME - YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS PLACE. Make a reservation though. Open table easy peasy. The staff are a wonderful added bonus too. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I swear Michelin needs to go check this place out!!
We went for the Eve Night, but the food was not really good. One of the plate was cold and the flauvor it was OK. I expeceted something with more quality.
Daniel did such an excellent job as our server! We come up every new year and always have a great experience! Thank you!
A definite favourite restaurant of ours we had not been before for brunch. Very good menu and everyone was very happy with their choices, local food, will go for brunch again.
Excellent service, no long waits and the food was top notch. Delicious and interesting desert called Bakers Garden. Overall and excellent restaurant with good B.C. wines.
Great staff, great food, always a great experience
The service was good and our server did an exceptional job.
The scones are a must. Mimosas are decent and larger portion than average. Eggs benny are good as well. The fresh ketchup is on point. But the scones. THE SCONES :)
We enjoyed the ambiance and amazing service provided by the restaurant. They advised all plates are usually shared. We ordered the honey bread and 3 plates to share, the gnocchi, salmon and brussel sprouts. The honey bread and gnocchi were amazing. The salmon felt raw, it was not flaky, almost liquid. My mistake on not knowing that Ikura was salmon fish eggs and uni is a sea urchins gonads which was on top of the salmon. It’s an acquired taste. They are very big on local ingredients which is awesome, but, there was no chicken on the menu. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive.
It was such a fun experience! Brent was an excellent photographer, server, and was so knowledgeable with the menu and each dish’s preparation. The gnocchi and sable fish (made two ways) were so unique. I’m so glad I came here; being from here but now living in LA, I often crave such amazing local BC cuisine. A must go.
Enjoyed a nice breakfast. Great granola and scones. Homemade ketchup and nutella. Very good.
Food was a bit of hit and miss here for a late 9 pm dinner. Some of the dishes were really great (sunchokes with duck, pan bread with spicy honey). However, the tuna dish’s accompaniments ruined the fish, while we were unfortunately served a very tough cut of bison (the waitress apologized and said it was normally very tender - this would have made the dish a definite hit with the dish’s flavors). Fortunately, dessert was a definite pleasure; we had the cheese puff and the chocolate gateaux, and both of them perked up our mood. Service was good, and one of our desserts was taken off our meal to compensate for the tough bison.
Immediately welcoming atmosphere, delicious food beautifully presented. Loved the whole experience
Overall the food is great. Our duck dish is slightly undercooked. Maybe two more minute in the oven would be perfect.
Went for their Christmas set menu, the food was superb and the service matched. I recommend Forage for sure!
Excellent Christmas supper. Very good service. Would recommend highly.
I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion or just a casual meet. It was fabulous 10/10
We had dinner here with a prefix menu. The food was fabulous.
The food wasn’t that impressive, we have to add lots of salt and pepper lol
This restaurant was recommended to us, was disappointed though, best part was the service. The Pork Cutlet Sandwich was tough (couldn't eat some of it) and absolutely tasteless even adding the sauce provided. The eggs Benny was unremarkable/regular fare, the Mushroom dish was reported as good. Hefty price for three breakfasts, okay for the Christmas Day celebration but....
Our breakfast meal was excellent. We ordered the turkey sausage hash, classic benny, and eggs with bacon; we also enjoyed the house-made jam with the sourdough bread. Service was excellent (attentive without being intrusive)!
Not my usual Christmas breakfast. Delicious way to start the day.
My family and I came to Forage on Christmas Eve for their 4-course set meal. The food was delicious, and the selection of wine was excellent. Our server was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the ingredients and his energy was infectious.
