High quality, beatufully composed dishes. An absolute joy!
Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu... we dined in the open courtyard and enjoyed the amazing tastebud journey... the beet salad and bison carpaccio was to die for!!!
We went for my child’s 18th birthday (her choice). All dishes were excellent and it’s great that you get to share dishes. They also accommodated my youngest and made a lovely homemade pasta (child’s size).
As usual the staff was simply great including Peter and Cory, but really everyone was in top form. As was the Kitchen! The vegetable desert offering as a total hit! We've not ever tasted anything like that and quite frankly it made a wonderful dinner even more memorable. We discovered you folks a few years back when we stayed at the Listel and now that we live in Vancouver you've become our go to place; pardon the intimacy but you are our diner, in the most positive and best sense.

Breakfast dishes served cold.
We came here for breakfast and were disappointed by the food. The potatoes were boring, I wasn't a fan of the in-house made ketchup, and the sausages were mediocre. The service was a bit slow but the staff were very friendly and accommodating while we were there. The decor was quite nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere but I would not come here again for breakfast.
That being said, I would be open to trying Forage again to check out the dinner menu. I'm assuming that's where they get the great reviews.

This was our fourth or fifth visit to forage. I was my wife's birthday and she asked to go here. We thoroughly enjoyed it yet again. Our waiter was charming, and very efficient. Mushrooms, duck were amazing. My wife raved about the veggies. I loved the craft beer on tap. We'll be back again..
We had a fantastic brunch here. The house-made jams were delicious as was everything we ordered. The service was wonderful and I can’t wait to give back.
This place is terrific with top notch service and sublime food. The food is local and very tasty but also complex and adventurous. I would be a regular if I lived here. What a treat.
The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We both had the special, the duck and mushroom eggs benny which was incredible. It can get a little noisy inside but otherwise I love this place.

We had an excellent night at forage. Coming from another country, we loved being able to sample a range of BC specialties and local wines. And our server, Sebastian, really made our night with his super helpful and friendly service.
Jackson was our wonderful server. Knowledgeable, affable, sensitive to our needs and desires, he was friendly and available without being obtrusive. The food was divine, and the wine was glorious. A perfect dining experience.

We had the oysters, Bison Carpaccio, Halibut, and Braised Pork. It was all so wonderful. The Halibut was actually the best fish I had ever tasted. Cocktails were amazing!
Very Accommodating and great food
The food was innovative and very tasty and the wine and beer lists had lots to choose from. The portions were a bit 'polite' meaning that it was necessary to order more dishes to have a reasonable quantity to eat - this need pushed down the value a bit, but overall, at $80 a head including tip and drinks, it was OK for a light meal, without dessert. I would go back and I would recommend it to others.

Everything was excellent except the entry sequence which has a vaguely cafeteria feel to it which was unfortunate.
Perhaps a function of longer evenings and brighter exteriors. Once the sun went down and they dimmed the lights it felt more sophisticated.

Every morsel was delicious. Great portions for sharing and it worked well for mix of vegetarian and not in our group. Server was helpful and knowledgeable.
As an out-of-towner enjoying the many great eating opportunities in Vancouver, Forage is the place for which I set aside a little more cash for a special meal while in town for a visit. Forage is about sharing small plates of spectacular food. If you want to take your time and try the best ingredients and interesting combinations of flavors, this is the place for you. Don't miss it.
We could eat a very good dish. I thought I'd like to try it more. I became very full.

My family celebrated my birthday here with me. My daughters are vegetaran and one of them is very hard to please but ended up eating heartily. Fabulius cocktails, the food was all perfect and we loved all of the servers. All round exceptional and a new fave with all of us!
The food was very flavorful and the portion size was good. I enjoy the family style plating and the service was really nice and active.
My wife and I showed up 5 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and they said our table wasn't ready so we should take a walk because bar seats are reserved for walk-ins and they don't like people waiting there, so that was not a great start. We were seated around 8:45 and the tables were very close together, so that was also not great. I don't like being able to hear the conversation of the people next to me. However, the food and service were excellent. We had a grilled kale salad with honey brie dressing which was so delicious and well-balanced, it was just perfect. The celery root croquettes were also delightful. My main course was pork shoulder with a carrot puree (which was lukewarm at best) and some other things. The pork was so tender it just fell apart, I loved it. My wife had the duck which she enjoyed. The chocolate hazelnut dessert was also very good. Drinks were good. Overall, great food and service, not the best ambiance unless you like very crowded, loud restaurants.

One word describes this restaurant the best: Amazing.
While this restaurant was good, I cannot say it came up to it’s billing. For the cost and the hype around locally sourced food, I would say it was fine but not awesome. The dinner was long - food took a long time to come out, but then was actually not piping hot. It was sometimes a bit cool. The sharing plates came out at weird times. Our vegetables and gnocchi were gone by the time the meats were served. The lamb neck had a good flavour, but was very fatty and quite salty. The bison was cooked well, but again had a crust of salt on the outside that could not be ignored. Lovely beef a bit ruined. The best plate of the night was the cheese and meat plate.
The service was great - very attentive and the explanation was clear. Probably the best aspect of the night.
It’s great to have local, genuine food, but Forage food gets a little “precious” and seems to have overreached its ability.
My guest had some very challenging dietary requirements but our server - Samantha and the kitchen made magic happen! Everything was delicious. Displayed on the plate was stunning and clever. Such interesting flavours and blends.
