Went there for Brunch. Food is really good. I got eggs sunny side with turkey sausages and Bacon. Service was nice. We spent nice time with friends there.
Best food, best service, best spot for food in west end! Brent was amazing
Great food and service. We have a wonderful meal and evening.
Our drinks exceeded our expectations, the halibut was perfect, the mushrooms were exquisite, unfortunately our bison was inconsistent, overly chewy and cool upon arrival
To the table. Our server was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable
Normally this restaurant is consistently fabulous, tonight was slightly off.
Great atmosphere and service. food took a bit longer than expected for breakfast items but once it arrived it was very good.
We had a great experience at Forage. The dishes are specially suited for sharing so you get to try a little bit of everything. Food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding.
Really good food, organic, healthy and very tasty. I also got a latte, which was absolutely delicious.
Always SOO good. The best (in my opinion) in the neighbourhood for breakfast/brunch.
A last minute decision to go here last Friday & boy was it a good one! This restaurant is a real hidden gem with innovative dishes, local ingredients and a good cocktail list. Some of the best food we've had in Vancouver, hands down! Our lovely waitress (wish we got your name!) gave us some great tips about the menu & made an excellent choice when we asked her to surprise us with dessert! A taster of a tawny port was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. We will be back!
A local gem highlighting the best of BC ingredients. Just be adventurous and let your palate be amazed.
Food was excellent! Service was superb! Family style service was a great way to share/experience a wide variety. Will return next time I’m in Vancouver!
Can get loud. Service was excellent
I was a solo traveller, so sat at the bar. The bartender explained the menu as well as the farm to table methods used by the restaurant. I had the bison which came highly recommended by my wife.
Breakfast was amazing!
Excellent quality of food and service; quite gourmet and creative. Corn bread is a must have. Have to order several entrees ale cart to share in order to satisfy your appetite, which makes it very expensive. No options for ordering fixed price meal.
Il ne faut pas rater cette decouverte culinaire vraiment hors de l’ordinaire
Great waiter and service and the food is great. Must try their gnocchi, will blow your mind!
Excellent place to converge if you like to share delicious, well - prepared food, family style
Some of the tastiest dishes I've had in a while. If you can make corn bread gourmet, you've already won. And wow, that cornbread. And the dessert and everything in between. I've been telling all my friends it's a must go.
Cory the server was great, casual, knew his stuff and had great wine recommendations too.
We had a corner booth that made for an intimate experience. It was perfect!
Definitely would recommend this spot! SOOOOo good.
Overall the experience was really good. The food was delicious and the menu was varied and enticing. The chowder was one of the best I've ever had, which I will definitely be going back for. The most disappointing part was the service. It took over 10 minutes to get initial drinks, and even longer for subsequent drinks. The server was not attentive to make sure when drinks were empty she was there to see if you wanted more. My husband and I only had 2 cocktails each over the course of a 2 hour meal and would have had definitely had at least 4 or more had the server been more attentive.
I love Forage. It's a haven for the many travellers staying in the nearby hotels, but it's also a great neighbourhood gem. I eat there often and it's always delicious no matter what meal you're having. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar if you're a party of two (or less). The bartenders are all hilarious!
great as usual............great as usual..........great as usual
What a wonderful surprise. We liked it so much we went back again 2 days later. Great drinks, two of the best waiters ever. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the menu and guided us perfectly. Try the carpaccio, gnocchi, or tomato salad. All are fantastic. Save room for the cheese puff - you won't be disappointed. The high top tables behind the bar are much quieter if that's important to you.
Great selection of dishes. Wonderful service. Great ambiance. Just a hair on the pricey side but worth the spend. Local BC wine and beer selection is a nice touch.
Food was amazing. I find the dishes upscale, new and trendy. Will definitely come back again.
We love Forage, great food and service and atmosphere! We can’t wait to be back!!
Don’t go on a Monday. Items not available on the menu as supplier can’t deliver until Tuesday. Food was cold! However, they did try to replace with a new dish. My first experience was so amazing.... this one not!
Really great place. Wonderful staff, creative menu and sharing concept. Nice selection of draft beers and wines. Good value. Definitely worth going.
The food is ok; the methods are solid, and the plating is pleasant, but the outcome lacks flavor and depth. Avoid if you don't enjoy being packed in like a sardine for brunch or hearing the table next to you scream their entire conversation at each other over the noise.
Forage is a amazing and I intend to return soon from Seattle! Wonderfully delicious food. I must have the Bison Plate Special next time. We didn't know to order that dish in advance and it was sold out. So order yours before you go if you are a carnivore.
Fantastic food to table field to table cuisine. Plan on ordering 3-5 different dishes and SHREDDED for the best experience!!
Went there for a special date, but it's more like a casual dining place but not really for special occasions. Duck breast and the butcher's steak were absolutely great!Spring salmon was ok, compare to those two, nothing special. Desserts were highlighte! Both the white chocolate mousse and the chocolate hazelnut thing are must try
My third visit to Vancouver in the last few years. Dined at Forage the first time and couldn't wait to return. The food is delicious and the service outstanding.
Samantha was our waitress, she was great. We received recommendations on what to have and these were spot on. Sustainable dining, I loved it.
The main reason for going to a restaurant which strangely is not on your reasons for recommendation, is to taste fresh food that has been prepared beautifully by experienced chefs thereby providing you with that unique taste of quality and flavour that delights your senses. This is such a restaurant. My only negative as a European wishing to indulge and relax is that the service is a little rushed. I appreciate that many Americans like to eat fast but Europeans prefer to savour and converse. A tip would be to order only one plate at a time therbye giving your digestion and your conversation some time to develop.
OMG, the bison board was a dining experience of perfection !
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We were there right for 5pm so it was quiet. I don't really dig family style sharing, and next time I'll order the gnocchi to myself as it was that delicious.
Service was wonderful, lively and fun. Food was beautifully presented but over priced. Very small portions for a shared plate experience with 4 people of average appetites. It was difficult to really get the flavor of the exotic meats on the charcuterie plate with about 2 ultra thin and very small slices of sausages & cured meats each. The cheese was average. One point of irritation was that the portions were not made according to the size of our party, e.g., sometimes there were 5 or 7 slices for 4 people and this prevailed with all portions that were presented. Not anything critical but, given the price and the supposed attention to detail, this was something definitely missing.
The evening special (salmon/halibut duo) was very fishy; the lamb neck fettuccine (did it have any lamb or just essence of lamb?) was greasy. The duck was very nice.
Overall, spending $280 CAD for 4 people with 3 glasses of wine and 2 beers was not a good enough value to repeat it.
