Sebastion our server was excellent!
The food was wonderful!
Tried their 2020 Dine Out menu and was quite pleased overall. I was able to try all 3 appetizers and was a huge fan of the mushroom one, and thought the duck was also pretty good. For my main, I had the Bison steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and went well with the potatoes it was served with. The cheese puff was also quite satisfying. However, what made the visit extra enjoyable was our server. He was knowledgeably, friendly, energetic and seemed super perky/happy overall. It was a pleasure interacting with him.
Great service. Great food. Pricey!
Second great experience here, amazing food and wine pairings. The waiter was very knowledgeable and took into consideration our special needs, as I am 8 months pregnant and couldn't eat or dring everything that was on the menu. Would definitely go back and recommand.
Incredible food and service. We will definitely be coming back!
The food was delicious, would definitely recommend the duck chowder and Bison Steak! Our server was very attentive and knowledgable and we weren’t pressured at all into the upgrades on the dine out menu. Overall an excellent experience
Excellent service and great food! Our waitress was very friendly and engaging, looking after our family very well.
So great thank you.
Amazing! The waitress is friendly and kind. ❤️❤️ highly recommend!
First time to the restaurant, thought we would take advantage of the Dine Out Vancouver promotion. We picked this restaurant because it was highly recommended by my sister-in-law and her husband plus my husband and I are big fans of sablefish which was on the dine out Vancouver menu. Greeted warmly by the host, and our server (sorry, forgot her name) was excellent and had a very nice demeanor to her. I had the duck pastrami and my husband had the salmon tartare, both which were excellent. My husband does not particularly like duck but I let him try my appetizer and he loved it. But the star of the show was definitely the sablefish which we both had. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce on it was very tasty. Definitely one of the best sablefish we've both ever had. I had the chocolate ganache bar and my husband had the cheese puff filled with vanilla cream. Though we both thought the both were very good, the cheese puff was our preference. Even though it had vanilla cream in it, it wasn't heavy. All in all, a great night at a fabulous restaurant, would definitely come back here.
We have been to have their branch a couple of times and it was our first time to have done out there.
We were so disappointed. The food portions were so small and we had to order some extra to share with our 3 other friends but it was too small to share. I think the server should have told us not to share the add-on because it was too small.
We 5 of us were still angry after the main so we ordered clam chowders but again, it was a too-small portion. We spent 400 dollars with 2 bottles of wine. We wasted our time and money. We will never come back again.
Love it. The food is amazing and service is great!
The food and restaurant LOOK amazing and the staff is friendly, but the food just isn’t that tasty. We went for brunch. Cocktails were good, but the charcuterie board came without explanation and whole grain, untoasted bread. My hash had bitter watercress “pesto” that I somehow couldn’t really taste, plus a potato veggie hash without any good caramelized bits :/ The turkey sausage was also pretty flavorless. I’m convinced I must have ordered the wrong thing because the place was packed, but definitely underwhelmed.
Ryan was good
We came in for dine out and enjoyed the entrees and apps. I wasn't asked how I would like my bison steak cooked so it came out much rarer than I would have liked. But I trust the chef and ate it anyway. Looking back I wished I would have sent it back to get it cooked more because the middle where it was rare was chewy. Otherwise the dish was delicious. The desserts seemed disjointed from the rest of the menu. The cheese puff was quite large and rich, more of a sharing portion. And the chocolate ganache bar was also very sweet and rich. The menu would have been more cohesive if they used fresh ingredients for the desserts.
This was one of the best dining experiences in Vancouver ever [I have lived here all my life]. Fantastic food, service, ambiance and incredible value [huge portions!]. I love it, top to bottom.
Father in-laws birthday so wanted to take him out for a nice dinner.
Food was fantastic and the selection on the Dine Out menu was great. The option to add extras was a nice touch, especially with the duck chowder.
The only thing that took away from the experience was that the courses came too quick. Our bill arrived before we were offered an after meal coffee. It would have been better to savour each course a little longer.
It wasn’t terribly disappointing but not impressive either. There are many restaurants that I like to go, not adding this one to my list unfortunately.
Got there early and the host was able to find a table for us immediately without hesitation. Food came quickly and it was delicious, Server was outstanding as well. Would defiantly go back to try other things on the menue
The chowder was to die for. I'd go back just for that.
Warm welcome. Friendly & attentive staff for a single diner. A delicious meal paired with a lovely flight of 3 local beers thoughtfully selected by the bar tender following our chat
Fantastic night food and service were amazing as usual
Excellent Brunch. Our server Sebastian was outstanding.
Best meal I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Moist tomahawk pork chop. Creative and delicious bison carpaccio and Brussels. Every bite was an adventure!
It’s very nice place for breakfast! We had an awesome experience:) highly recommended.
Super tasty - can’t wait to go back. Would definitely recommend!
Very interesting dishes, with delicious unusual combinations. This is a sharing plate style restaurant and the dishes are brought out individually so if you have different dietary requirements i.e. meat and non meat eater together you need to ask them to bring some dishes out together. This is a sister restaurant to Bearfoot Bistro in Whistler, where we also ate. Forage has much better food and therefore value, still very expensive but most restaurants seem to be in Vancuver and Whistler
Great food and friendly, attentive staff! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver!
The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. The price of the food mans quality are wonderful as well.
My favourite lunch spot in Vancouver
Fantastic! Food service always perfect!
Breakfast, which was quite good.
The sablefish dish was very salty and the pork chop dish was very sweet. Nothing was balanced. Decent food but for the prices, it was very disappointing.
Excellent service! And gave us great vegan options.
Would have liked some more option for desserts. But overall a very good experience! We'll come back for sure!
The food and service were excellent. We tried each dish our server recommended, and loved all of them. We'll be returning the next time we're in Vancouver.
Excellent food quality and knowledgeable service. One guest guest has celiac limitations and server knew exactly what could be modified and answered all questions on food prep
Very unique and delicious meals that are all farm to table fresh.
The food is always fabulous. Each of the four courses was delicious!
Excellent as always.
Excelent meny and well presented. The appetizer was please my, along with a salad. The roast turkey and porc was nice and moistt.
HOWEVER at $90 per person would have expected something a bit more elevated. Perhaps some interesting mouse bouche, or another course. We also felt that, as a table of 3, the platters were the same size as a table for two. . We had to ask for more aides and the salad was “limited”
Last year we had a much more “special occasion” dinner at the Market for $75 pp. so will think carefully next time.
