What a wonderful experience! We had gotten our reservation time wrong and everyone was so quick to help us. They gave us free champagne to sit in the lounge and wait to see if they could feee up a table, then seated us promptly. James the chef, Sam the host, and everyone were amazing from start to finish. The food was outstanding (the pork chop was one of the best things I ever ate) and the drinks were delicious. We wound up sitting with Sam and the manager for a while after we had finish and they gave us recommendations for things to do and go while visiting. Overall an amazing experience and would 1000% recommend.

The atmosphere was amazing. It looked great for sure. Their elevator is broken though so you had to go through some weird back alley looking thing and end up in the kitchen. They didn't have many things on the menu, and I don't think they had steak because I basically wasn't allowed to order

I am so disappointed with this restaurant. I made sure that I read all the reviews on the food and drinks. Dress code etc.... First things first.....There was no one to greet us when we walked in. Turns out that the band that was playing that night, was on there way back upstairs to the restaurant. So they said to follow them, the elevator was out of service. So they said to catch a ride with them. (Service elevator) once we made it upstairs they greeted us and showed us to the table. The place is beautiful and the gentlemen was so nice and professional. Where things went south (bad) was our server. She was not dressed appropriate for that restaurant. Her stomach was exposed, (there is a place and time for that). Not when your going to pay almost $100 for a steak. She took forever to get our drinks. The 1st round came quick not the 2nd round. Then she kept coming over talking to us about restaurants and food, where to eat. This was my wedding anniversary dinner with my husband. And our cousins birthday celebration. So 4 of us. All dressed up. nice restaurant. We flew in from Chicago for this. We could have picked any restaurant but we didn't. We picked the Foundation Room. Then she had the nerve's to sit next to me as if she was having dinner with us. chatting for over 20 minutes. so much for romance, hell! she would not go away. So no intimate setting for us.

The experience was amazing , the staff was attentive and accommodating. Music was perfect for the mood and the environment was pleasant. Could not have chosen a better place for our Evening. Will come back for sure.

We loved our dinner and experience. From the champagne greeting to the foie gras and exquisite drinks, we had a perfect evening. We had a late reservation and frankly low expectations. We just wanted a cool place with reasonably good food. It was soooo much more. Highly recommend.

We were so impressed with the chef and the new menu- Foie gras and charcuterie were yummy! Cocktails awesome. Great wine list. Got pasta and the chicken main courses - far surpassed our expectations. Prices very reasonable ~ ambiance meets the wow factor - in the midst of the Foundation Room! On the top of my list!

Severely understaffed - took 20 min to be brought water when they sat us. Food was mediocre at best and was cold by the time it was brought to us. It’s a shame because the ambiance is so incredible and I’ve been there a few times in the past and it was much better. The table next to us had to send their steaks back multiple times because they were cooked wrong, and their waitress was rude to them.

We happened across the Foundation Room accidentally due to many restaurants being reservation only because of Jazzfest. We didn’t see that coming and should have. My wife found one table available at the Foundation Room and let me tell you that was lucky! This place is fantastic! Has sort of an exclusive club feel to it. You wouldn’t even know it’s there. The lime and the coconut drink was delicious as was their take on an Old Fashioned. The food was perfect and very flavorful. We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed the meal and our server. However, the foie gras came out cold and it was not good. My boyfriend ate half but I couldn't eat any of it (and foie gras is one of my favorite things to eat). I will try the restaurant again. The other 2 items we had were very good.

The best place for a romantic night out. Me and my fiance thoroughly enjoyed ourself at the foundation room. Eric johanson played for 3 hours . His performance was excellent. The food was great. We had the steak skewers and the chicken wings. They were both delicious. For desert we had the blueberry icecream and biscuit (cookie) . The desert was top notch.

One of the main reasons we booked dinner at the House of Blues was because there were two jazz bands scheduled to play. When we got there after the waitress seated us we asked about the band. About 1/2 way through our meal a manager came over and told us the band cancelled. So, they did not give us an opportunity to go elsewhere, and they did not offer us any compensation. I think this was a bit disingenuous and as we were only in New Orleans for 5 days took away one of our nights to see entertainment. That and I think the price of the food was a bit absorbent for what you get. Something I would be willing to pay with entertainment but without it was not worth it.

The menu is very limited and not very good. My wife ordered seafood stuffed shells and asked for no tomatoes (she doesn't eat them) and the plate came with multiple tomatoes. I had the steak which was okay but Ruth's Chris is not endanger of going out of business because of the steak at the Foundation Room (nor is any other steak house in danger). The waitress was not attentive. I sat for a long time looking for her with my empty glass of water. The chocolate whiskey soufflé was quite good and the highlight of the meal. We were told they are going to redo the menu because they have had several complaints. We have eaten there for years and were always satisfied before.
