Enjoyed introducing a friend to Francesca's on Taylor...great meal, fabulous service and as always, good ambience!
The food was good, a tad late but they offered a glass of wine on the house, it was a nice gesture. For the apps, we had the crispy calamari, it wasn’t crispy. The pasta was great! We had Calamerre al Taleggio; it was very delicious. The wine selection wasn’t big but there’s something for everyone. The kids menu is very good. My son had the spaghetti with meatballs, he liked it. It’s a packed restaurant, definitely a reservation is recommended.
I visit Francesca's often and I and I am never disappointed. I brought friends from out of town this time and they really enjoyed themselves.
Incredibly accommodating from hostess to kitchen and servers. One of my favorite places that do gluten free well. Thanks!
We typically love going to Francesca's. However, I'd stay clear on holidays. We went on Mother's Day for dinner and it feel below are expectations. I've never had a bad dinner until this time - the food wasn't good and it was cold. I was a bit bummed.
The staff at Francesca’s has always been helpful and accommodating. I find that their menu has a good variety of food and wine options. Actually a pretty good value for events and family parties.
Perfect choice for our Mother’s Day dinner. Everyone had such a great meal. Best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had! I love Francesca’s and we can’t wait to come back!
Good food and service. I would recommend to anyone in the area
We had a great table, the food was great including the starters and Myra our server was fantastic.
Super nice waiter, tasty food, good cocktails and wine. Table was a little cramped but overall great time. Not super expensive.
This was a birthday celebration and it was great. We were seated on a far wall away from the door so it was easy for us to talk with one another. The seating was quite comfortable. Each of us loved our entrees as well as the mussel appetizer. The complimentary tiramisu was a nice touch. Just two clitches: when trying to make my reservation on "OpenTable" twice I thought I was making the reservation for Francesca's on Taylor and instead the reservation was for Francesca's on Chestnut. I let the manager of Francesca's on Taylor know of this. I had to go to their own website to make the reservation. 2nd there was a small plastic cap in the bottom of one of the wine glasses. Would have been bad if swallowed but was not! Overall, we had a wonderful evening and the dining experience took nothing away--only added to our celebration.
Food and service was phenomenal! Our server, Sam, made excellent recommendations for both wine and food. My friend's request for a baked pasta dish, which was not on the menu, was accommodated. He had baked rigatoni with meat sauce and I ordered the gnocchi, both excellent. Sam even alerted the kitchen to my aversion to black pepper! We ended the meal with fruity sorbet, very refreshing! This Francesca's location is the best!!!
Best Italian food for me when I go into the city. Love the pasta and excellent wine. Excellent service.
Very disappointed with hostess and waiter! Hostess didn’t even take me to the table. She just said “sit anywhere “
Waiter was slow and not attentive at all!
Absolutely loved it! Amazing food and great service!
Great service and great food!
Had a birthday dinner with my husband, adult daughter, and her boyfriend. Although there was room in the restaurant, we were sat at a table where our chairs were hitting guests on both sides. Service was very slow, but the food was good. Not sure if I would go back given the other options on Taylor Street.
The food was great and the service was great. Everyone there was friendly. The environment was conducive to conversation.
Myra was fantastic!
Best lunch ever!!!
Polo Parmesan the best ever!!
The food and service was excellent. The Spanish speaking staff made my wife feel at home.
Outstanding neighborhood gem. Family friendly. Nice selection of wines.
Parking was a bit tricky on a Saturday but it was lunchtime and we found street parking across the street (it helped that we were all in one car). They sat the 3 of us in the corner window table and our waiter could not have been more attentive without smothering us. Their prefix menu had several options so we all opted for different variations of that except for dessert - we all selected the Tiramisu which was delicious. We sat and chatted for several hours and never felt pressured. The food was delicious and I'll definitely be back.
We're not from Chicago, but have been to this restaurant a number of times. The atmosphere is clam and warm and our waiter, Felipe, was fantastic. It's a very friendly, welcoming place with great food in a cool neighborhood. I highly recommend it.
Best happy hour prices in Chicago!!
Met our friends at Francesca’s on Taylor before going to see Fleetwood Mac at the UC. Service was very sensitive to our timing constraints. The Salmon was superb, the Osso Bucco was excellent. The entire experience was terrific down to the valet guys!!
As always, every Francesca’s we go to is a wonderful experience! Whether it’s in the city or in the suburbs you can count on one thing, perfection!
Food was excellent. There was four of us. Two had the chicken dish special. One had the trout and I had the salmon. It was 1/2 off on bottles of wine Tuesday. We ordered a $100 bottle for 50 bucks. I wish that I would of jotted down the name on the bottle, because it was probably the best tasting wine I've ever had. Desserts are tremendous. I will definitely go back.
The food was great. Wait staff was very nice, but some issue with drink order that didn’t come. We’ve gone to this restaurant on many occasions and will definitely go back. Thanks
Selection of choices is limited, especially for people on special diet.
Our anniversary dinner was phenomenal! We were married there several years ago, and before that we dined there at least twice a year. They did not disappoint. The wine is superb, the food is fresh and just right portions, and we had our dessert paid for by our server! We’ll be back soon.
Will not go there anymore on hockey game days they cram too many tables in and we’re understaffed. Food was excellent
Francesca's on Taylor St. is a guaranteed great dinner every time. I bring clients here frequently and they always enjoy the food. It's a great place to meet before a Blackhawks or Bulls game. Highly recommended.
Came in for an early lunch after a visit to Rush with my younger son. Wait staff was excellent and super accomodating. Everything was perfect. Caprese was flavorful in the winter, tomatoes ripe. Pasta was delicious. No feeling of rushing us out the door. Will definitely come again!
Our third year in a row celebrating Valentine's Day at Francesca's on Taylor. Food was decent. Service was OK. Maybe we will try a new venue next year??
Really great Valentine’s Day dinner! Sam was wonderful as usual! The restaurant was busy as would be expected but everything was great!
Aa per usual for me I ordered with changes to my food and the food came out even better than I expected!!
Excellent food and Cocktails.
Just heard Scotts WBBM interview an entrepreneur Friday congratulations Scott and Joe on your new adventure
Always have had a great meal at this location. This time, however, service was not as good as in the past and our food was cold.
