"Hands down the best food you'll find on San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf" proclaimed Sunset Magazine. An extensive renovation has revitalized the Franciscan Crab Restaurant, a Fisherman's Wharf institution since 1957. White tiled walls, beautiful marble bar and twenty foot windows overlook the bay and Alcatraz. Terraced dining affords views from every table: hand blown glass shades and chandeliers dazzle, black and white photos of celebrity patrons adorn the stairs and walls.

    Crab seem to be old I broke out in hives after eating they seem to add pimento to crab I’ve never remembered see pimento before on their crab.

    Heard it was a historic must see restaurant but food was way over priced and the atmosphere was get in and get out. Crab tasted watery and crab cakes were deep fried. Understand the location is amazing but still felt like we were in a warehouse. Would not recommend

    We were there at sunset and had a table over looking the bay - beautiful, our waiter was funny and made our evening so enjoyable.

    Forgot soup but took it off the bill. Good food and service, attentive. Pricey but good experience. I would go back.

    We had a great meal at Franciscan Crab Restaurant. The view across to Alcatraz is lovely and the service was fabulous. The food is really good and we all thoroughly enjoyed each course. Very friendly staff too. The whole experience was great and we would absolutely book again.

    Try the mussels! Delicious with toasted potatoes and vegetables. Always perfectly cooked seafood, attentive staff and yummy rolls. No problem with requests.
