Frankie's Italian Kitchen & Bar
It started real strong and the server had great recommendations. My wife had the dine out menu while I ordered from the regular menu. Service was fast and consistent until our server got a big table. We waited so long for dishes to get taken away and I had to go to the front to ask for our bill since we hadn’t seen our server for over 20 minutes... we just wished that our first time there would have been a better over all experience. Food was delicious and really enjoyed their meatball and tiramisu.
Very nice! Food was good, and the server was nice!
Great food and wonderful service! The location is perfect if you are going to a game or to the Queen Elizabeth
They were slammed with a pre game crowd. WE were a table of 8, and the service was very slow. Maybe not too experienced. We had been there for more than 1/2 hour before the wine was served, and it was not what was ordered. 55 minutes until bread was at the table. As the restaurant cleared, service was better, and the food was excellent. I would go again.
Great dinner. Some of our group of 8 tried the Dine Out menu. Excellent quality and value. Those that ordered off the regular were also very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and just right for a group that mostly wanted to talk.
We had to eat early as it was a very busy night and really booked, but the food was really good and the service was excellent.
I recommend Frankie's to everyone going to Vanc. I have never had a bad experience. The waiters and waitresses are so well versed in how dishes are put together, you'd think they were the chefs! If you are wondering what to order, just ask for the house recommendation.
Well done Frankie's!
I had never heard of this restaurant but it was close to the QE Theatre. Lasagna was fantastic as was the foccacia bread. We could actually hear each other talking which was a welcome bonus. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our pastas dishes were tasty and mouth watering, server had a great sense of humor and friendly, atmosphere a little quiet but not bad
Great service and great food
Amazing experience. This was our 2nd visit and every time they exceed our expectations. Food and service was amazing. Inspite of very busy on new years eve, server Tim provided consistent service throughout the meal. He was attentive to our needs and ensured we feel special. They respect their customers and serve them good and never an opportunity. They have good options for vegetarians.
This was a beautiful place to have dinner on New Years Eve. Wonderful ambiance with a jazz trio, excellent service and outstanding food. Thank you and happy new year!
live music was a nice touch to a NYE dinner, pastas were yummy and dessert was outstanding!
I’ve already phoned to complain to head manager. He has not called me back. The Cobb salad had nothing but ice burg lettuce. 1/4 avacado, a few tiny tomatoes, 1/2 egg and no Roquefort cheese, just dressing. A Cobb salad should be filling. I had to eat when i got home. For 18.75 it was the biggest waste of money.
Decided to eat here for dinner on a Saturday evening with a client before going to a Canucks game together. I ordered their daily special which was fresh Sockeye salmon with grilled vegetables. I cook salmon at home all the time and I found the salmon overcooked (as it is easy to do with salmon, especially Sockeye) and the vegetables over-peppered and a bit too salty for my liking. Service was OK; nothing noteworthy. Ambience was good and we were in and out in about an hour.
Nice place to go before seeing the Nutcracker with my 10-yr old. They even had a kids menu. She loved it!
Attentive waiter, not rushed - we were treated well.
My family & I had a wonderful dinner. Food was good, service was exceptional. I differently would return.
We enjoyed our meal with friends at Frankie's. Food was excellent, service was prompt and friendly and it is a nice space. We would go back.
Food was amazing as was the service!!! The noise level does affect table conversation but overall a great experience
I am in love with Frankie's, have told everyone about how much we enjoyed our dining experience, when I open a menu, and see that I love everything, makes it so easy to order.
Great! Friendly people and nice place.
We went downtown for a show and Frakie's was easy to get to. Had a lovely atmosphere, quite even though it was quite busy (Christmas season). The food was so good we all ate more than we thought we could and the price is not high. I would recommend this place for anyone at any time. It is not too formal but is classy and has a lot of options.
Excellent service, good food, good value. Server Dario (think it's his name) was very attentive and brought us a complimentary birthday cake because it was my friend's 50th birthday! Overall good service.
Excellent service, very knowledgeable staff. Nice decor, good ambiance, food is great, never a bad experience
Amazing! Love it.
Loved that you could hear the jazz bar from the restaurant, but would have appreciated similar music on the stereo in between sets instead of top40 pop.
With so many restaurants in Vancouver to chose from I would give them a try before returning to Frankie's. I cannot recommend it to friends, family or colleagues mainly because of the noise level that prevented a conversation at the table and because of the poor service. Our wait person was not engaged. He got our bill wrong not once but twice! Maybe he was having a bad day, if that's the case, please don't inflict it on me.
We chose Frankies as it was conveniently located to the Cirque de Soleil venue on Pacific...an easy walk. Dinner and sevice were great and food came out quickly. I had the risotto and my husband had the veal. Both were excellent.
I'd definitely go back and wouldn't hesitate to refer friends.
Such good food and service. I would say that go and enjoy the food and drinks
Darrel was our server. He's so funny my wife enjoyed his jokes on her birthday.
My friend and I shared a wonderful Shrimp Scampi Tagliatelle with a crisp green salad each
and some excellent Focaccia bread.
Our waiter - I believe Jason was his name - was excellent -- attentive and very
knowledgable about any questions.
Have already recommended to some friends - and will certainly return again myself.
The server was fantastic! The food was great and we could talk and enjoy each other's company. It's refreshing to eat in a restaurant that has not got blaring music and TV's everywhere.
We visited on a Saturday and timed it before the Canucks game. We were very impressed with how quickly our meals arrived after we ordered. It almost seemed a bit rushed as our wine hadn’t even arrived at the table yet.
We went to Frankie’s for my husband’s birthday and before the Canucks game. What a beautiful restaurant, so inviting and such friendly people. We had a great meal and are already planning to go back with friends.
Food came really quickly and was very good. The service itself was poor - we had to flag down the waitress numerous times because she never came by the table again after dropping the drinks and food off. Was also very loud inside but not uncommon given it was so packed. Overall a good place to eat before a game or show at Queen Elizabeth.
Excellent food and great service. Had the special seafood pasta. My wife had the lasagna and we slip a caesar salad.
It was convenient to hockey game. Nice relaxed, great service. Will definitely come again when going to shorts events
Service was super quick and their Pesto Chicken Gnocchi was delicious! Oh and their tiramisu... no words!!
Dinner before the football game
