Fring's Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic food! Service was ok...
Overall positive but don’t know that I’ll be rushing back.
Great food so delicious. Went New Year's Eve. Friendly staff
My girlfriend and I attended for New Years Eve and due to the occasion there was a set menu for the evening. The ambiance was great. The restaurant was dimly lit to set the mood, and the music was tasteful (mainly neo-soul and Hip-Hop). It was my first time at Frings, but considering that I have visited their sister restaurant (Lee's) quite a few times, it met my expectations. Overall, the food was very great.
Excellent food! Remarkable decorations. Unforgettable experience.
Best food I've ever had at a restaurant. Brussel sprouts, short rib tacos, sangria outstanding
Great service from Charlotte, she was amazing and made our evening wonderful.
Amazing! Never disappointed!
Not recommended because of the unacceptable condition of the men’s washroom.
What an incredible experience we had last Saturday! We were greeted by happy host and hostess’s! On upon seating we were given two glasses of champagne and wished a happy Anniversary. The servers were very knowledgeable and friendly and very attentive! The food was incredible! We had The Tuna Tartare and the crispy Crab Cakes, followed by Lee Cheeseburger Spring Rolls that we’re absolutely delicious with the Gnocchi to follow! Completely mouthwatering! At the end we ordered the monkey bread and they wrote Happy Anniversary in chocolate around the plate! The servers explained what each dish was and how it was prepared and were good at offering suggestions of what to sample next. I cannot say enough good things about Frings except I cannot wait to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
Frings is one of my favorite restaurants, I have many favorites menu items that I would love to share with you. The concept behind Frings is to order one main course each and then share. This allows you to try so many new things. My favorite is the Fried Chicken and Waffles. WOW! Another favorite is the Gnocchi Eggplant Parmesan, Crispy Crab Cakes and of course the Monkey Bread...do not leave Frings without trying the Monkey Bread!
Great service; hostess was polite and prompt.
Great food; compliments to Susie Lee.
Pricey; bring someone special.
The restaurant had great service. The food was just ok. I think with having Drake behind it people are going in expecting a certain level of cuisine that it did not live up to. I had the Salmon Risoto and while I liked it, I have had better. It was a small smear of risoto, which had mainly peas. The Salmon felt as if I could have made it at home. Which I probably could, it's Salmon it's not that difficult to make. The pitcher of Sangria I also had was good but incredibly expensive. Overall, I think the food needs to be elevated but I think the hype I heard was overrated. Sadly.
The cheeseburger rolls were okay , nothing to die over. Excellent guacamole and octopus.
Me and my hubby went on a date-night to Frings for the first time and OMG, was it AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The food was STELLAR, the service EXQUISITE, and the overall ambiance was something to be experienced at least once (if not more)! They even gifted us with complimentary champagne after our meal! 5-STARS!!!
The atmosphere was great, service exceptional, and food was fabulously different and delicous. Very out of the ordinary, very creative savvy appetizers and the entree did not disappoint. We will definately go back. It was recommend to us and we will absolutely recommend to our friends.
Went on a Friday night and it was lively. Live Dj, unimerce was great playing mostly hip-hop. The food was really amazing, I was actually not expecting it to be that good! Great for sharing. Best kale ceaser I have ever had (oddly enough sorta tasted like poutine). Has a dark and fun ambiance.
Great ambiance with cool booths. Food was delicious but not filing as portions were small, even to share. Very expensive for nothing. Wouldn’t go again, and neither would my friends.
Everything we ordered was terrific. Food was perfectly prepared, served fresh and warm, paced well for small plate sharing. Great size to get a sufficient taste of each. Great service and each item we ordered was plated attractively and came with a brief but thorough explanation delivered by the waiters.
Great decor and comfortable buzz. I had heard after a certain time, it can be quite loud, but we went on a Tuesday at 6 pm and by the time we left after 9, it was still easy to hear each other.
It may sound early, but it worked perfectly for our slightly more mature foursome who wanted to spend time chatting and catching up but wanted to sample Fring's food and it was well worth it!!
Excellent service with good ambiance especially for special occasions. We were there to celebrate for my son’s birthday. The staff was very friendly and explained every menu item selected while serving. They asked us more than 3 times how we were enjoying so far in order to make sure that we were okay with the quality of the food and also the service level. I would strongly recommend everyone. I can definitely say that nothing could go wrong at Fring’s! Special thanks.
Didn't enjoy my time at all, wouldn't come here again .
Our server Haley is spectacular! We were in the middle of a business meal and never got interrupted during the conversation. Plates were changed and water was refilled without a hick-up. Will definitely return.
Overall everything was fantastic.
All my guest were pleased with the variety of food, the taste and amount of food.
One thing was that I mentioned the tonic was flat in my vodka /tonic and the next one was the same and I was charged for it.
Also I was not made aware of the price difference in vodkas from my waiter.
So when my bill came I was charged extra for every drink.
All I’m saying is it would of been nice to be told the cost differences. I was just asked what type of vodka I would like
I would definitely go back.
Chefs tasting menu was so good. Service was top notch. Drinks were great, but expensive.
Lovely food and service.
Taking a guest from Asia for her birthday. Fring’s food was phenomenal as usual but it was way too crowded, way too loud that the waiter got my order wrong but I was starving and took it anyway. I said it was wrong but he insisted that I ordered it rather than asking me what I really wanted. Maybe, he’ll have to pay for it with their tip issues? Not sure. Not a place to recommended if you want to talk in peace with your date.
Loved the Chefs menu! Everything suggested was decadent and great value for the price!
The icing on the cake was seating. We sat in these comfy luxé club chairs that we sank into as the food kept coming!
We'll definitely be back soon!
My friend and I had a delicious dinner with great service. Also loved my cocktail (Adam’s Ashes??) My only complaint is that the noise level was quite high making it difficult to maintain a conversation without screaming. In fact my throat was actually soar by the end of the night .
We loved everything. The food was great and the service was outstanding. It was our first time at Fring's but we'll be back for sure!
I had a wonderful evening at Fring's, everything was perfect from start to finish. Georgie took superb care of my friend and I, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, recommended his favourite dishes which we enjoyed and made our evening lots of fun. We tried some of the signature cocktails which were delicious and the bartender also made us off the menu espresso martinis which were spot on. For a date night or pre party dinner Fring's is well worth a try, 10/10 would recommend.
A visit to Frings is always really tasty. The food can be best described as luxury comfort food fit for the six god himself. I absolutely loved the Chicken and Waffles, I also thought that the short rib tacos were extraordinary as well. I will definitely be back.
Var service was painfully slow and recieved the wrong drink twice.
Great music as always. Came here for date night with my boyfriend and it was loud and very energetic but still intimate and romantic. Food options were okay, not many vegetarian options for my boyfriend as he does not eat meat.
Our server Mark had his friends come and dine and were seated beside us. They arrived about 20 minutes after we sat down. We were ignored and our plates came out 35 minutes apart, while his friends were served all of their plates one after the other. They had their dining plates changed and were very attended to. ALL four of them also got dessert for their “birthday” while we waited 25 minutes for our bill. It was so disappointing because the food was amazing but our experience was awful. He was attentive until his group sat down and then we were left to the side. After our bill came, we had to wait to pay. He obviously brought their bill first. It was just the cherry on top of an already-awful experience. I was so excited to dine here and despite the food being amazing, the service really set a bad tone for the whole experience.
Great restaurant and ambiance but the food selection is too small, little variety. Also the sizes are so tiny and takes a while to come to the table. Needs more seaofood or big plates
Friends bday and it was beautiful
From start to Finish. Impressive
We did the tasting menu for $100 per person.
Great food, great service. Not worth $100 each though.
A cocktail each and an inexpensive bottle of wine brought the bill to $400 for two people.
Not worth the money for dinner out.
great ambiance and all enjoyed the food. I would definitely go back and also recommend
