Monday evening... so not full with customers. Very good service with friendly staff. It is a bit pricey but the food is of a high standard and the portions are adequate. Would have liked to have seen more choice in the dessert menu, but obviously that is not there thing or perhaps it is unnecessary in this weather. The ambience was good - you could hear yourself speak without having to raise your voice - which was a refreshing change. Adequate room between tables - which allows you to feel more comfortable. Exceptional cooking with two standout options. The potato with seaweed sauce (the need to bottle that sauce!!) and the cherry bakewell.
