    It wasn't the romantic dining experience that we were hoping for. Got seated between a column and the traffic pattern to the kitchen & toilets, with a bright light pointing up blindingly. The server seemed a bit overextended, but it was Thanksgiving, so I'll cut her some slack. Overall a ho-hum experience.

    It’s not a fancy dancy place, but for what it is THEY ABSOLUTELY DO IT VERY VERY good. It was “the center” of a wedding weekend and never disappointed…. From a simple cocktail at the bar, to brunch, to a post reception gathering “last drink” it was truly the best service we’ve had since the big fake out when everything had to be closed. WELL DONE!!! So refreshing!!!!

    We have visited before and frankly were not that impressed, but today's brunch rocked it out of the park. Fabulous server, Jason. Delicious food & great table. Can't wait to go back .

    The french toast and short rib quesadilla is AMAZING. During brunch there was a DJ but his records were skipping a bit. Restaurant was beautiful, they also have an open concept kitchen—which I love! Bathrooms are a bit of a trek but Gorgeous!

    Food was amazing! Our waitress was slammed with several tables all at once, so ordering took awhile, but she did a good job of updating us on what was going on. Food cam out in a timely manner. Great atmosphere - DJ was fun!

    Overall the meal was underwhelming. Bloody Mary was strong but watered down and just basic. Eggs and potatoes were fine. Not dry, but not much different than I could make myself at home. My toast tasted and looked like it came from a non-brand loaf of bread purchased from HEB. The service was where we really found the meal lacking. Our server was very kind, but I don't think he came to our table more than four times in almost an hour and 45 minutes. He kept apologizing for being busy or forgetting to return, but for those prices I shouldn't have to ask three times to have my coffee refilled. It took almost thirty minutes to receive our food. After the meal, we waited for almost 20 minutes for the bill. It wasn't particularly busy but I often saw other tables looking around for their waiters/waitresses to appear. This is was not the service or food I would expect from a downtown hotel.

    This restaurant is in the Hotel Van Zandt, and both the restaurant and the hotel are absolutely stunning. Cool, modern with a Texas vibe- the hotel lobby will knock your socks off and I know this sounds crazy, but even the smell of the place is sexy! Then head up to the 4th floor for Geraldine’s. I went for brunch- it was fabulous. Beautiful decor, love music, and my avocado toast with poached egg was delicious. Had a mimosa and coffee, and a cinnamon roll. I highly recommend this place- right in the heart of the Rainey Street area, so plenty to do and see after your meal.

    Great service and excellent food! Our party of 6 shared fried green tomatoes, octopus, Korean fried chicken, Waygu, steak, and all three dessert options!  All dishes were perfectly prepared, and elegantly displayed.  Geraldine’s is a top-tier dining experience! I highly recommend!

    -we were the first table of the day and the floor was filthy like a child have just been there -The hotel had problems managing the traffic and our friend was stuck between a bus and a van neither of which moved for more than 30 minutes. Not the restaurants fault, but as we were waiting for our friend, the waitress told us that we only had the table for two hours, which I think was so rude considering it was the hotels fault. -We ordered biscuits as an appetizer they came with our food We ordered bacon with our French toast. It came 20 minutes before the food came. -My order was 100% incorrect (I ordered the overnight oats and got the yogurt parfait) -Our waitress disappeared. Many times we asked for our check and it took 15 minutes to get it and another 20 minutes to actually pay it and leave. -The French toast was mediocre. The crust was incredibly tough. -The restaurant was not crowded as it sometimes is plenty of tables look like plenty of waiters. -I’ve been to Geraldine’s many times but after this experience, I will never go back. -There are better brunch places in town with better service, clean floors and tables

    When I tell you service makes a difference it really does. Although this food was well prepared. Our waiter was not a good communicator.  We felt rushed and didn’t understand what she was saying.  The food, however, is very good fresh and served à la carte style . I was very impressed the hamachi ! I would’ve got two orders.  We also had fried green tomatoes, pork ribs, beef tenderloin, wagu steak , fish and Asian fried chicken. Everything was on point except the chicken It wasn’t seasoned for our taste buds As we all from different descents we agreed the chicken was just ok I would return as I would like to hear the live music and perhaps a better server

    We were seated and sat there for 20 minutes with no one coming to our table to service us. Tables all around us were getting sat after us and serviced. After exactly 20 minutes, we got up and left.
