Chef owned and run, Gianfranco Ristorante specializes in Southern Italian cuisine and uses seasonal, local flavors to create delicious meals. In addition, Gianfranco offers gluten free pasta and pizza dough for those with food allergies. This is a cute little restaurant with good service and we thought it would be ideal for our wedding anniversary dinner. It turned out to be a poor experience. Despite it's small size they had a long party of 12 table that was extremely loud and put us next to it. They left about half way through our meal but had already ruined it. We mentioned it to the diners next to us they too were unhappy about the group that was bellowing down the long table. I know its business but small intimate restaurants should not seat a long table of 12 and expect other patrons to be happy. The food was plentiful to a fault but not particularly good. We have traveled in Italy over a dozen times and this food was americanized italian meaning heavy on cheeses and overcooked. The 3 cheese gnocchi was overcooked and mushy. The lasagna was baked to a hard crust on top and the tomato sauce was too strong. The bruschetta was okay but piled on thick not thin slices of toast and spicy like a salsa. The house wine at $12 a glass is overpriced. The tiramisu was the highlight of the meal. I would suggest skipping the pasta dishes and try the meat dishes which might be better.

Has the cozy feel of a family run restaurant. Food and service were excellent, as always. It’s a little on the pricey side but pretty typical of Italian restaurants in the Seattle area. We’ve been there many times and will definitely go back again.

Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary over dinner. The food, ambiance, service and staff were OUTSTANDING. We had gorgonzola cream sauce with mushrooms followed by the lasagna (all GF!). The house sangiovese was a wonderful compliment. Fortunately we had reservations well in advance. Gianfranco created a memory for us. Thank you!

The halibut was cooked perfectly in a light wine sauce, succulent and full of flavor. My husband had the Pollo Fransesco and enjoyed every bite as the chicken was tender and covered with a lovely sauce. The Tiramisu was more than enough for two people. The melding of whipped cream, cake, chocolate and liqueur was a most delightful treat. We definitely will come back again. The staff were attentive and exceptionally friendly.
