Excellent meal and great service and atmosphere
I would recommend to anyone
Great place.. all locations. Great service never had a bad meal in any of them.
Surprised by the ladies bathrooms - not clean.
our server was excellent ,very cordial and attentive gal.she gets 5 stars. busboys reached over table numerous times to fill water glasses and take plates away which I don't think is appropriate. They were attentive though. My potatoes were very salty.Ny Steak was good. My mother had filet medalions she did not eat them chewy and not tasty.White fish very good as was salmon appetizer. I also felt that tables were too close together,i could not take my jacket off.As I grew up in restaurant industry I myself was not overly impressed with the food
Went for an anniversary dinner. Great options for 5 people. Always good.
Not good. They got our steak temperature orders wrong. And we had to wait all over again to get new steak done for us. Out of 4 people, 3 of us were not happy when given a well done steak when asked for Medium and given a almost raw steak when asked for medium well. Will not be coming back.
Service is phenomenal. Food is simply delicious. The cakes are to-die for.
Outstanding from the moment one drives up until one drives away. Valet was excellent and complimentary. (Of course we made sure to leave a tip!) We were seated upon arrival and had a most excellent table. We felt so welcomed by the host staff and managers circulating about before our server even arrived. Our server was exceptional. The food, outstanding and beyond reproach. Worth every penny. We felt pampered, welcome and not rushed to leave. We enjoyed after dinner drinks and desert with leisure. Big shout out to the bathroom attendant. Love her personality, fun music and feeling a little papmperd while washing my hands and freshening up. Who knew going to the restroom could be so much fun! Really appreciate all the care that goes into every aspect of the dining experience created so meticulously and thoughtfully. To the staff in back of house who aren’t often seen, please know you are appreciated and your hard work shines.
The service was excellent the food was delicious best prime rib ever.
We had the best service from our waitress, Amy. All the other attendants were also great.
Richard was an exemplary server. He let us chat and enjoy our drinks before pacing appetizer, salads, and dinner. Scallops and whitefish were out of this world. We go to Gibson’s knowing we will have the best of fine dining!
Exceptional as always! The wait staff are very attentive and more than efficient! Our meals were delicious and always predictable at this restaurant!! It’s one of our favorites!!
Top notch food, service and quality!!
Good was good as always.. Serves was outstanding!! We had a great night celebrating a birthday!!! Gotta love the carrot cake!!
Awesome food, awesome service......
While my husband is obsessed with the delicious burgers they have at Gibson's, I usually skip around on the menu. This time it was the Faroe Island Salmon for me. Simply delicious! We both started with the homemade chicken soup. (It's possible that it was slightly better than my homemade chicken noodle soup?!!!)
As always a great experience
The service was outstanding.
Gibson's Restaurant was the perfect place for a birthday get together. The service was excellent. Our server was on top of everything and worked with our large group for the event. The food was excellent. I have been there before and everything was great also. This was the first time with a large group. I would go it again and recommend it to others.
Excellent service and food !! As usual- didn't expect any less.
Gibson’s is a very good steakhouse! To start there is complimentary valet when you drive in. Luckily we made a reservation so we didn’t wait very long to be seated and within a minute of sitting down they brought us water and the friendly server came to greet us! The only complaint that I had were that the cocktails could have been better but they still weren’t bad. Then the steaks are always very good and if you get the filet mignon then I recommend that you “butterfly” it so that it will cook evenly. I highly recommend the restaurant if you want a good steak and will be coming back for sure!
We were disappointed in some of the food quality and portions overall compared to visits previously. The calamari appetizer was not very fresh tasting and was mostly over fried squid legs and very few squid body rings. The surf and turf was a much smaller portion of both filet and lobster than we’ve had in the past, overpriced for the $69.00. The creme brûlée desert had an over torched burnt tasting sugar coating, not the quality we would have expected at Gibsons. Not a very good value for the overall food experience.
Everything about our anniversary dinner at Gibsons was top-notch, from the menu options, the flavor and execution of all of the food, to the cocktails and service. These people are clearly professionals who know what they're doing! It was pricy, but worth it!
Gibson’s was as you expect- very busy, tight seating and noisy. Food is always on point but an expensive evening out. No complaints. We have fined their often and know what to expect.
Excellant food and service. Waitstaff was super friendly and had very helpful suggestions on food preparedness and selection. Food came out perfectly prepared and timing between coarse was perfect. Love this restaurant.
I know it was New Years Eve but waiter took 40 min to take order after brining our drinks. Just disappeared. He then kept apologizing, which didn’t help. Overall, it was two hours with drinks, salad and main course. No appetizer or desert. We may have gotten desert but at that point just wanted out.
The food was delicious. The most tender filet mignon I ever had. I appreciated our waiter on how caring and attentive he was making sure we were okay. As far as the ambiance, it was just okay. A bit noisy for me at the time and crowded. Overall, a great dining experience.
Excellent service and food as usual.
Waitress had too many tables and not very attentive and food took longer than normal. Way too many tables cramped together and servers/workers did not have ample space to walk by. No one offered to check in coats until we got to the table.
Connor was great-very knowledgeable about the menu. Crowded post-Christmas. The whitefish was good but a bit over salted. Otherwise everyone had a great dinner.
What can I say? It was the Gibsons experience. Perfect surf & turf (great steak and the butter drenched lobster melted in the mouth), iconic venue and enjoyable atmosphere. Our server Robert was great. Service was perfect and when there was a slight hiccup with one of the food items not being served hot, he immediately took care of it. Robert made sure we were happy with everything. The dessert was as gigantic as it was delicious. The chocolate mousse was fantastic and there was plenty to bring home for the next day - and the day after that.
Amazing food. Amazing service as always.
The food is good. However , it’s never as good as The Gibson’s in Rosemont. I do appreciate the diversity of the wait staff, which is lacking in other locations.
If you are not parking with valet, use the lot next door where there is ample parking. I guess that is better than looking for your own parking at the other eating places at the mall across the street. But if you are going to splurge on an evening out and its a special occassion, why not avail of the valet? It will cost you less than the tip ...
Always the very best meal! Lovely room, impeccable service and amazing food. I Love Gibson’s and it is worth every penny!!!
We all had steaks. The skirt steak got rave reviews! My filet was ordered medium well and I was told that it should be pink throughout but when I received it, it was cooked through, however, the staff took care of it immediately. Upon receiving the new steak, it was cooked correctly and was very tender. The service was very attentive. I would come back.
A few issues with the steaks. One person's steak was underdone and then a new one was brought out and it was overdone. Ate it anyway. One person's strip steak was not tender, so sent back and got a filet instead, which was good. One person got the sliced strip steak, but did not want mashed potatoes that came with it. Asked if they could get a different potato at the same price. Server said yes, fries or hashbrowns. But did not want a fried potato. Then said I could get a baked potato and then no spinach that came with it. Didn't understand why they couldn't have a baked potato and the spinach. Baked potato was same price as the mashed potatoes. Otherwise, service was excellent.
The food was great! Portions were large. We shared 2 sides (mushroom and double backed potatoes)between 4 of us and we still had some to take back home. We also shared the dessert. Great if you like red meat. Will definitely be going back.
Continues to be great food and service. Always a fun time! Makes you want to come back.
This was our first trip to this Gibsons and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and we have been to all the major area steakhouses. The atmosphere didn't match the quality of the food however. The waiter was not exceptional, just adequate.
This restaurant clearly uses the highest quality ingredients, and the service is nice in that very old fashioned overdone kind of way. It’s a steakhouse where they continuously pipe in Sinatra, there’s tons of dark wood, they bring a raw 32 oz steak to your table to demonstrate the quality of their meat, there are bathroom attendants who peddle mints, and the bill is likely to be above $100 per person. The cooking was all very competent, if unimaginative, after all high quality steals don’t really require anything more. All of the portions are massive. If this sounds appealing, then this place does it all very well. Personally for the money I’d rather have a something more modern and artistic.
We had a party of 6 and were seated at the entrance on a round in the main dining room. It looked like the restaurant had other open tables that could accommodate our large family but we were seated in an area where my boys ages 15-24 & my husband and I sat. I noted in our reservation that we are repeat customers and that we were there to celebrate the holidays w our sons.
