Very good service from being seated to getting our food in a timely manner
Fabulous Beautiful restaurant with view across airport terminal to the mountains on a clear day Definitely dining here again
Wonderful live music Excellent selection of wines Fabulous menu Great service
We have to say we've never had a bad experience at Globe. I don't know how they do it but they always seem to remember us in some meaningful way and the food, ambience and environment make it so pleasant and one of our "go to" restaurants in the city.
The manager, francis, is awesome. Food is amazing as usual!
The food are amazing!
Great service, great view. We loved that it was pleasantly quiet. It was terribly expensive...especially the wine and the mains. We enjoyed it, but would only ever return if on a very generous expense account
a bit pricey, but good food the veggies with the sable were tasteless and salty; bit of a vinegar taste.....rack of lamb was very good.....very good service
Family celebration before Melissa was wonderful and very kind to our parents who need a little extra help
The maître d’s welcome and service were excellent. All of our meal, particularly the French onion soup and crab bisque, was superb, and full value price-wise. Except for the half hour that passed between when we finished our soup and when our main course (steelhead fish, which does not take long to cook) was served, our wait staff’s service was also very, very good. My only significant complaint with Globe@YVR is the price of wines by the bottle on the list; hardly anything under CAD$100. For example, we ordered a bottle of California Russian River Valley chardonnay, which tasted just average compared to other wines from that region (e.g. Sonoma Cutrer); the price easily had to have been a 300% mark-up. Lesson: enjoy a bottle of your choosing (that you may have wisely packed ahead of time, in your luggage) in your room before dinner, then order one glass of wine to accompany your main course.
We went for my father's 96th birthday. There were 4 in our party and we all enjoy our lunch.
The server, Diana, was wonderful. My Dad thoroughly enjoyed her interactions with our table. She made him feel special. The noise level was good which was important to us as my father's hearing is low even with aids.
The food was nicely presented and tasted great too!
I think that it’s overpriced for the meal we had. Service was splendid but the price of entrees if not worth it. Next time will go into Richmond. Also, loud and noisy. When I spend so much money I expect a quiet atmosphere. We couldn’t hear each other. Disappointing.
A very enjoyable evening was has by everyone in our party. We had one small issue, my wife's lamb was a little underdone for her tastes. The server rectified the issue very quickly. We will certainly be back soon.
Delayed and connecting flights decided to eat lunch at The Globe YVR to enjoy the snowy views and some sunlight. Oksana was lovely and on the hustle for our ordering speeds and needs. Lovely ambiance and the food was delicious!! thanks!! When at YVR and don’t want food court good this is excellent choice.
Excellent as always. Great food and service.
Service was great but the food was overpriced for the mediocre quality we received. The fish was over salted, the broccolini was undercooked and mostly just thick stems, and the trout was mislabeled on the menu as “steelhead salmon”, which is misleading as trout isn’t the same fish as salmon.
Thanks once again for a fabulous experience at the Globe@YVR. I'm not sure what is better - the food or the wonderful staff. We ALWAYS enjoy our meals there.
The dining area was quite busy and the service staff, although very pleasant and helpful, and accommodating, were continually occupied with all the tables. By this, I mean that they are well organized with the tea and tea towers, and it is amazing that they are able to attend to so many guests. Delicious selections, fresh and great variety. It is always a big treat to return to this tea. Our commendations to the chefs and the service staff. Very professional and slick.
Very nice place for Sunday Bruch. Staff is friendly and provide good service.
I chose the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the foods were delicious and the meats were tender. The service was excellent.
This is not where we can dine very often in terms of the price range but good for special occasion.
I couldn't see the live musician from our table. It sounded like someone singing with karaoke.
Great experience. Friendly and professional staff able to accommodate our special request. Best airport burger I’ve ever had. Great airport apron view.
Need more food selection on breakfast buffet but service was outstanding
We went for breakfast buffet today ,food wasn’t up to fairmont standard all food was cold and dry like one day old the pastry was not fresh no egg Benny I ask they say not today tomorrow will have some and chef made me 2 poached eggs the plate was full with water .and very limited selection for 33 dollar person .downtown location muon can’t compare notch 8 100 percent better I will never come back
We were just there for a business meeting and both had the Club House. But the lovely server was awesome and treated us so well. She definitely deserved the tip!
Great place to meet. Transit connections etc.
Love our pretrip dinners/breakfasts at Globe@YVR!
Celebrating 30 years together this time. Melissa was our server as she has been many times before & impeccable service as always. Staff are always friendly & professional. Food was creative & flavourful & washed down with some tasty cocktails. Must have the beer bread with bee pollen butter!
Another fabulous experience. Certainly one of our "go to" places for special occasions and we're never disappointed. And the 3 hours of free parking at prime meal times is very welcome relief from the ordinarily expensive parking at the airport.
The only “distraction” from a perfect evening was a very loud individual at the adjacent table who was trying to impress his business colleagues (and totally failing if their body language was any indication). Perhaps a reminder by management to such individuals regarding decorum would be appropriate. Once the individuals at the table departed the remainder of our dinner was quite relaxing.
The service was incredibly slow....2 hours for lunch and it wasn't crowded. My tuna nicoise salad looked like a heap of lettuce stuck on a plate with everything buried underneath and there was way too much dressing. It was an incredible disappointment as I have had it before and it looked and tasted so much better. Overall a disappointing experience
Fantastic dinner, just superb
For an upscale restaurant it was very disappointing. Not only was the restaurant extremely cold, there was no real atmosphere. Only the soup was ok. The main course food overall subpar. Chicken was dry and tasteless. Definitely would NOT recommend. Both of us left a huge portion of our meal on our plate and the server didn’t even ask why.
Great restaurant and very lucky to have it at the Vancouver International Airport. Food, views, ambiance and service were great!

Despite having specifically requested a window table, we were initially assigned to a table near-ish but not adjacent to a window. The hostess said “this is where we always put parties of your size”, which is nonsense as we’ve been there several times before without ever having been seated there. She also said that, if I had wanted a window table, I “should have requested that”, which I had done!! I pointed out where we had been seated on our most recent visit, which was no longer available because, she told us, they had a walk-in arrive just before us. All of which made me question, why did we bother making a reservation?
In the end, they did rearrange some tables so the guest of honour could have a seat right at the window; the view is the precise reason he chose this restaurant (again) to celebrate his birthday.
Our waiter, Curtis, was attentive and thoughtful, and the food was a good as his service. After the initial hiccups with respect to the table, we had a marvellous evening and a very happy birthday kid.
The Fairmont comes with a reputation and, consequently, an expectation. The latter was not fully met on two counts. First, the service was extremely slow; the main course took over 35 minutes to arrive at our table. Second, the food is overpriced; admittedly, the restaurant is an international airport but that is not a reason to charge what it charges.
All the food recommended by the manger were amazing!
This is a frustration with several restaurants. Always seating people right near each other when there is lots of space available. In our case, the table was HORRIBLY loud and totally ruined our dinner as we had to listen to their supposedly confidential business conversation about steel.
Asked the restaurant manager if they could put together a little caviar plate off-menu, and the sous chef obliged in spades - along with everything else including the live music, it was a great way to kick off a holiday!
We always have dinner at the Fairmont Airport Hotel as the food is always beyond fabulous and delicious.

Food and service are consistently good at this restaurant. It does tend to be pricey for what you get.
The food was unbelievable, service was great.. 5 star experience definitely would recommend
