Great choice when your staying at the Fairmont and you don't want to leave the Airport. We loved the guitar player that was there the night we were.
Good food, good view, relaxing atmosphere. Menu had a nice variety of items. We enjoyed the dessert too.
We wanted a quieter table for a business meal. There was no notice of live music so that was a surprise. Food was mediocre for the price.
We made the mistake of ordering the Thanksgiving meal and it was just not very good at all. The attempt at making a more unique presentation simply failed. May well be better off the regular menu.
Exceptional service & nicely done and creative menu. The only drawback is the price, it's a little to high.
While I loved it, food delicious, I did find the prices outlandish to be honest. It was $175. before tip, 2 appetizers, 2 entrées, 2 glasses of wine. Would also like to see a couple more vegan options.
Best experience ever - had a quick anniversary dinner with my girlfriend and Fairmount was able to fit into our busy schedule. There is table near a power outlet for work/laptop. We had to eat while working and the food was amazing.
The staff was kind and professional. A complimentary desert was offered to us as a special anniversary gift. It is a very thoughtful gift and this year's anniversary became unforgettable. Thank you so much Fairmount!
I went for the tea time to celebrate my sister's bday, we didn't have too much time. We had a really good time.
A little pricey but worth every cent.
We went for Sunday breakfast...my husband had a ham and cheese omelette and I had the brioche French toast with peaches. Both were amazing. Service was excellent and server was very attentive. View of the mountains and planes were spectacular.
The waiter is very nice and gave us a very good services and the foods are delicious also the hotel provides 3 hours free parking,
It’s good for customers, will go back again.
Server forgot about us for the first 15 minutes, apologized when she realized this. Was provided tea, but not offered milk or cream. Food was okay. Read much better than it tasted. Black Truffle and corn chowder was just a corn chowder, not even a hint of truffle. Textures were all one note. Dress code was smart casual, but patrons were more on the casual side.
Really nice ‘going away’ dinner. Our server was fabulous and the food was delicious. The live entertainment was the best! I could have sat there and listened to him sing all night. There wasn’t a song I didn’t like.
Great dinning atmosphere and friendly waiters and staff.
Our last visit was excellent — same as the many other times my friend and I came for afternoon high tea. The selections change up every season, making it fun to try something new every time. It was busy but the noise levels were such that we could still comfortably hold a private conversation. It was the perfect way to relax at the end of a stressful week.
Meeting a friend while I was staying at the hotel, (which is fabulous), dining room very noisy. Otherwise pricey but good.
Food was good but expensive
Service was nice
Place has no character and smelled of closed up ( unfresh)
So all in all an expensive meal for what it was
Food and presentation exceptional
Will keep returning.
Food was nicely done and presented. Love the use of fresh local ingredients and their fresh menu changes monthly. Service was efficient and personal. A very relaxing place for lunch and not to forget the view was magnificent!
Used bar menu instead of Globe menu. Server did not know how the bar menu items were prepared and misguided is having to send a meal back to be replaced. Speakers over restaurant are same as bar and turned up very high. However, the live guitarist was great and at a pleasing sound level. Very expensive for bar food when we were planning a nice elegant dinner.
Nestled in a world class airport, high tea at Fairmont YVR is well worth the trek. Tiered plates of delicious treats from scone served with creme fraiche to savoury halibut salad on Melba toast. You get one choice of tea so my sister in law and I picked the Fairmont blend and a green tea. We were bit late finding our way from airport parking to the restaurant but the staff were understanding and didn’t rush us for allotted 1.5 hour. Would definitely come back for special occasion or indulgence before boarding or after flight!
I appreciated the fact that we were given complementary parking for 3 hours. We wouldn't have gone there if some compensation hadn't been offered. If we had paid the full amount for parking at YVR it would have been close to $25. The only complaint I had was that the person who gave me the voucher said that we could use it in the "Express lane". Unfortunately it cannot be read by the scanner there and I had to back up and go through the cashier lane.
Ok for an airport restaurant but quite expensive. Food unfortunately was quite salty.
2 of our party have food allergies and they were so accommodating. We had mentioned when we made the reservation the allergies and when we arrived they said we are aware of them and they went out of their way to make sure all of us had similar treats!
Stayed at this beautiful Fairmont with my family prior to an early morning departure. We were delighted with a terrific meal, great service and atmosphere. I enjoyed one of the best nicoise salads (fresh ahi, how can you go wrong) while my family feasted on burgers. A great choice for travelers, especially if time permits between flights.
This is a convenient dining option while a guest at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel. There is, apparently, no dress code or guideline of any sort. Wear whatever you wish...think Famous Dave's.
The food is unremarkable and, like the hotel itself, quite expensive. Again, it is all about the convenience. Oh yes...bread is not offered with your meal. You must purchase bread and it is not bread, at all. If you order it you will eventually receive a freshly baked little loaf of some sort of a sweet/savory, herbal cake...somewhat like corn "bread".
really enjoyed our meal & service was very good. Dining area was quite a large area which made it nosier than we would have liked, view was a little disappointing but the guitarist was very entertaining.
Great as always. Richard the server was the consummate professional. Thank You!
Food was very salty and service was poor. At the prime dinner hours, we were told they had run out of the daily specials.
Very expensive, even by airport food standards. Slow service despite being mostly empty.
Everything was great. It was our first time at this location and it’s definitely going to be one of our favourites.
Just enough variety and priced just right.
Staff are all very friendly and make a point in conversing with you.
We went for night tea. All food are very good, special blend of tea was nice. Highly recommend.
Diana was such a great server, she made our dining experience very memorable. Thank you so much.
crab cakes appetizers are only two small crab cakes yet you pay a fortune.
risotto was undercooked and were as hard as rocks.
tables are so close together by the window, there is no privacy
don't waste your money on this horrible restaurant.
Exceptional waitress. Love the view and atmosphere. Food was good but very pricey for what was received
Very special pre flight break!
Great ambiance and dining experience
Everything was wonderful at this restaurant except the musician was way too loud-it was difficult carrying on a conversation with our friends! Loved the food and the service!
The food was absolutely amazing. Fresh seafood in a wonderful presentation and delicious combination of flavors. They easily accommodated my food sensitivity. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a delightful evening.
Service was outstanding. From being promptly greeted and seated to our server — everyone we encountered was friendly. Sorry, forgot our server’s name — Diana? Deannna? was fantastic. She was efficient, helpful, cheerful. My father doesn’t care for vegetables or salads but he said three times during the meal how much he liked the salad that came with his burger. The dressing he said was so good. We’ve never seen him finish his greens so enthusiastically! The featured dessert, a rhubarb ricotta cheesecake was delicious, and I generally don’t like cheesecake.
Walking in and out through the Hotel was also a very pleasant experience as staff were friendly and greeted us. We were particularly impressed by the bell hop who asked if we needed the elevator as we were walking in that direction and he offered to go call it for us.
We enjoyed every aspect of our lunch that day.
Soup was excellent
