    On Friday July 15, join Fairmont Vancouver Airport for Princess Tea in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Guests will enjoy an afternoon fit for a little prince or princess, featuring a special kid-friendly Snow Queen edition of Fairmont Afternoon Tea. Also included for royal revelers is our Enchanted Forest Pop-up Patisserie with sweets and treats from our pastry kitchen; items like house-made donuts and bubble gum marshmallows. Musical entertainment will fill the air, there will be face painting and a photo booth, and it’s all hosted by your favorite Princesses. Price is $119 per adult and $59 per child, 12 and under. Any groups over 10 need two reservations.

    stayed at Fairmont before early flight out the next day. The restaurant was busy for a Monday night with many tables of more than 4 people. Service was a little slow and it was fairly noisy with music from the musician. The food was good and expensive.

    The noise level was extremely high and the service was slow. After waiting about 15 minutes for cocktails to arrive we moved to the Hotel bar. Bar service was excellent, the menu has more options, ambience is great and there was live music. It turned out to be a very enjoyable evening. We won’t be returning to the dining room. We stay at the hotel frequently

    Birthday dinner for my husband . The food and service was so good! There was a complementary birthday dessert platter for him to celebrate. What a surprise! Highly recommended!

    I paid 60 dollars for poor quality sea bass that was fishy and was not left to rest properly resulting in fish water all over thr plate.

    The best restaurant at Vancouver International Airport, especially if you are staying at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel. Stick to the wines listed i n the cocktails booklet, the full wine list is more pricey.

    The service is fantastic every time we go to the YVR Fairmont, which is why we done there for special occasions even though we live in Vancouver. Also great with a young child as they can be distracted by the planes.

    I have experienced afternoon tea in Victoria, Dubai, and London but, this experience was a disappointing one. Food (not fresh), service (not honest when asked to move to a different table), and ambiance (there was vacuuming taking place during our "special Mother's Day" experience), are at a very low level compared to what one would expect. The glass of champagne (just one. no more) was a regular prosecco. I regret spending such a considerable amount for having such a bad experience.

    Good food but very slow service and it took almost 45 minutes from appetizers to then receive our entree. The menu options are limited in variety and are basic fine dining fare. Overall, it’s a good place to eat at the airport but the service could improve.

    Food was good as usual. Service was not consistent. Our main server was courteous and efficient, however, her assistant, if we can call her that, looked like she had no idea how to do her job. Shared salads were simply dropped on the table and we had to ask for small plates and serving utensils. Same with shared desserts. We were extremely disappointed and somewhat embarrassed as we'd told our friends how wonderful each and every experience we'd had there with Oksana and her colleagues, who we always seemed to run into, had been. Our friends were not impressed. We chalked it up to a training issue but hope this doesn't happen again.

    We were given a parking stub which the hostess said it was good for 3hrs but did not work at all after several attempts. We end up using our credit card! Service was a little slow. My sable fish dish was awesome. Though server wasn’t that attentive. I’ve to start my dish with fork and knife until she brought the spoon which I believe should be set on the table before the fish is served. Dish requires spoon for the soup. We ordered Caesar salad that we asked the server we will be sharing, we were served with salad plates but no serving spoon was offered hence we have to use our individual forks and knife… these details I believe should be served with attention especially if you paid 250 dinner for 2! The Mission Cab Merlot was delicious though!

    We had the tenderloin prix fixe menu. It was a very good cut of meat and was cooked according to our request. We also found a reasonably-priced wine that went well with the meat. The live music in the bar area on the other side of the fireplace was a little loud for our taste.

    Overall my wife and I went for a date night and enjoyed ourselves but if the reservation asks for the reason for the reservation I’d expect for them to welcome you acknowledging that. We also had a reservation for 8 and our table was ready at 8:30. The server was ok but we’ve also had much better servers at the globe in the past so there’s a bar set already. I would go again and recommend to others.

    Great place for special occasions. The food is excellent, the ambience is perfect, the service exceptional and you can take your time. But yes it is a bit on the pricy side, but for us it is not your everyday diner so it is fairly priced for what you get. Its our regular special occasion place.

    We had a wonderful evening at Globe@YVR. I was tempering my expectations given that it is a hotel and an airport restaurant, but Global could be downtown anywhere. Great service, wonderful food. Only tiny complaint, and it’s common with many restaurants, is that first course came when I still had my cocktail. Which was a great negroni. Happy to recommend. Our server was lovely but sadly I don’t have her name.

    On our way out of town, we grabbed dinner here - as always, we LOVED it! This time, we went straight to entrees, since we had a calamari snack in the bar when we arrived (after our travel COVID test!). I ordered the Filet Mignon and hubby had the Angus Burger with the fried egg. We finished with a salted caramel coffee for me and chocolate cake for hubby. The drinks (Moscow mules) were very tasty and fresh. Hubby likes a dark beer, so Ruby Red Ale for him!
