As a long time customer of Globe Bistro our family has never been disappointed with the quality of the food, service, and ambiance.
Great food. Great service. Great ambience. Very professional staff. One of the quiet places in our neighbourhood. They treated us well on our anniversary. Thanks for a great evening.
We had a great brunch! The staff were very attentive to the 2 children and made us all feel welcome.
Delicious food presented beautifully, great service and patio!
Checked out Globe Bistro for Summerlicious 2019. The service was fantastic, as staff were very attentive and kind. For apps we had the elk tartare, which was tasty and the shrimp fritters, which were also tasty but a bit on the oily side. The steak was a bit small and cooked medium-rare, although it was a bit dry. The cajun chicken legs were tasty, a bit fatty though and we didn't really enjoy the grits. Dessert was probably the weakest of the three courses. Not sure what the regular food items are like, but for Summerlicious it was all quite mediocre.
It's a bit pricy for what you get. There was only 11 server waiting on the tables for the whole patio level so at times you have to wait for service.
Love this neighbourhood gem. Staff are always welcoming and attentive. Love supporting a local business that supports other local businesses. Also fully accessible washrooms on main floor which is difficult to find.
Sat at a dirty table for 30 minutes. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get a dinner that was wrong and then an uncooked one as the fix. Terrible.
Average at best
Server was great!
Our waitress told me that the burger was decedent and she was bang on, OMG !!! delish !!
All apps were fabulous as well (Cauliflower and Oysters) and Oysters were part of Happy Hour and ha;f price !
The Cod was also well worth it, and it was hard to choose an entree because a few others looked great as well. Would love to go back and try.
Sat in the front area but took a peek at the back, very cool and comfortable looking.
All and all, a great dining experience
Great atmosphere, with friendly service. IMO drink service could have been quicker, I would have been more inclined to stay if it had. Music on the patio could have been much louder, I don’t like hearing other people’s conversations, nor do I like them to hear mine. Food was great aside from the server not taking temperature for my Duck Breast, which I would have preferred to be cooked longer. Also the bottom of the tables on the patio are filthy, watch your knees!!
Overall we had a good time.
Always a great place.Friendly and good food.Lots of variety for people with various tastes
Great service with amazing meals
The locally sourced menu has excellent choices and inventive dishes! The service was exceptional... our server, Caroline, was very knowledgeable and extremely personable! We celebrated a birthday of one pug our entourage, and, were treated royally!
We did a Sunday brunch and everything was fantastic.
The food was great.
The service was friendly, appropriate and timely.
And the atmosphere was bright and cozy.
The food was delicious and the server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Walking three flights to the rooftop cafe was bit a bit dark, but once there, it was lovely and quiet. An excellent brunch and outstanding value.
It was a very nice restaurant. The staff were pleasant. The food was very good. There were 8 of us and everyone was pleased with their meals. The price was reasonable. Overall a very nice time.
We have been coming to the Globe of and on for years. It is always the same, very good!
Service was very good until the dessert. We ended up waiting 20 min for it and then when it came, it wasn’t very good. It was supposed to be some sort of cheesecake but it tasted like a lump of cream cheese with cream on top and jam purée around it.
Very disappointing as the food here is generally excellent as normally is the service. It appeared as though our server was the only one for the back part of the restaurant.
Our visit was for Mother's Day. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and my mother loved the ambiance. The hostess was thoughtful to seat us in a quieter area of the restaurant. Bonus.
This was my second visit to the Globe. We had the same excellent server as the previous time.
Food portions were very good, so much so that myself and my guest were too full to order dessert.
Our meal was at 7PM on a Thursday and the restaurant was a lot quieter than on a Saturday night. The ambience was relaxing with the subdued lighting and great eighties music.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like western European food.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. All the food was terrific. Will definitely go back.
A good restaurant for dinner before a show at the Danforth Music Hall. Friendly and attentive service, comfortable seating and a nice ambience. The food was very good. My husband enjoyed his steak and I really enjoyed the cod. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area for a show.
We were a large group - 10 - celebrating a birthday. Friendly service. Quick too, as we were under a time constraint. Tasty food, well presented. We will return
Dining room could use a touch more lighting. Food was very nice in a very good price range.
Food was good but white wine selection very limited and not chilled properly.
The food was good but the lunch options are a bit too limited.
April 20th Easter Sunday brunch. Very enjoyable.
Exquisite in all respects! Amazing food with such creativity. My kids even ate kale, as they'll eat anything Chef Dan creates. Will be returning!
Once again we enjoyed our visit to the Globe Bistro. Our only comment is that the Prime Rib was extremely salty.
We had an enjoyable dinner. The food was great. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Globe Bistro.
The food and service was impeccable.
Half price bottles of wine on Sunday’s was an added bonus.
We will be back!
1/2 price wine, tasty offerings, lovely ambiance... really how can’t you LOVE Sunday brunch Here?
Excellent brunch experience. Food was better than anticipated - unique touches, excellent flavours.
Our brunch experience was wonderful, the only hitch was a badly chipped water glass which was immediately changed by our server Danielle.
The meals were delicious and the eggs done to perfection.
We also enjoyed our champagne cocktails.
Danielle is a super server, very engaging and attentive.
We would not hesitate to return for future brunches and/or dinners,
Bev and George Finlay
Always a good meal. Brunch was great.
For the most part, the food was very good but the arugula salads were uninspired and my steak was overcooked and had a line of gristle through the centre. Everyone else's food was very good.
Amazing meal and lovely service. We informed them it was our anniversary and they gave us 2 glasses of champagne. Will definitely return and reccomend.
