The food was great, I had the nachos with shrimp. The manager greeted us with cheer, however and unfortunately, our waiter was a bit too busy for us on a Saturday night. We all had a margherita and everyone was very satisfied. The lights were very dim and made it quite difficult to see the menu and our food. We will go back but maybe in when it is day time.

Another great meal and service at Gonza. This time we ate in their outdoor covered patio. It was a little chilly out that evening, but they have heaters which made it comfortable. Nice atmosphere.

We had a nice evening with friends. The food was good and came out relatively quick. The one thing that I think would be better is the music. It just doesn’t seem right to play hip hop music in a Mexican restaurant..

Food was awesome, everything else terrible. Drinks took forever, as those around us who sat after us got there’s. Manager gave us one free drink, though two of us waited. Asked for more chips, told they were out, saw three tables get more chips. Very loud music

In retrospect, we made the mistake of going on Cinco de Mayo. The restaurant had a club DJ set up right on the dining patio, playing at a really high decibel level. That’s fine for some, but if I’d known how loud it would be we would not have dined there. We couldn’t hear each other, or the wait staff, and literally just had to point at the minute when ordering. We stayed for about 10 minutes & just ended up getting our food to go. We also had kids with us, sitting about 10 feet from a DJ playing songs with vulgar lyrics. Again, to each their own, but it’s a restaurant not a night club.

My husband’s entree arrived just warm, and then it was very drafty in there so his food cooled off even further very quickly. We were celebrating our child’s birthday and did not have time for him to send it back and reorder.

Gonza is in our top 5 restaurants in the area that we live in. Every time we have dined in the experience and food have been great. Our waiter last night, though extremely busy, was able to take our order in a quick and efficient manner and made sure we had all that we needed to enjoy our meals. We will definitely be back to dine in again.

Food and service were good! Enjoying a nice evening out but felt rushed out the door because they were closing- 9pm -order wasn’t taken until 8pm for 7:30 reservations which was fine but don’t rush us out.

We were terribly disappointed. We are used to the Gonza location on Lead Mine Rd. This was our first time at the Wake Forest Gonza. The food was cold and not prepared correctly. No cheese on the tacos, the soup was thick and gluey. It was a total waste of money and we were embarrassed to have taken friends there. We told them it would be amazing. It was very low quality food, slow service, and far over-priced for the experience delivered. I almost think the two Gonza locations are not related, that the Wake Forest restaurant is a franchise. We’ve only ever had fantastic, hot food at the one in Raleigh. We won’t be back to the Wake Forest location.

We were an early table on an already busy night. The food was amazing as always and our server was very attentive to questions we had about dining with a gluten free family member. We love the guac and salsa, the mole enchiladas, and always get the nachos. It's well worth a sometimes boisterous noise level, as the staff, even when busy, are kind and helpful. We love going to Gonza and will be back soon.

This is a great place. The menu is great. It is Latin food, but not just Mexican. My fish tacos were delicious. The margaritas are excellent and they have a wide selection of tequilas and tequila cocktails. The waitress was very attentive, and 2 managers came by on different occasions to check that everything was good. We will keep coming back.
