Our chefs source the best beef from both sides of the Atlantic – from premium USDA corn-fed herds to grass-fed Scottish beef, grain-fed Irish Angus and rare breed Belted Galloway from the Lake District in England – to present a unique combination of a traditional British chophouse and classic New York grill. Let’s start to say that Goodman is very pricey and I’m not sure the quality of the food speaks for it. But the service was good and the steak was flavourful, max and cheese and chips were good too.

Very average experience compared to other London stakehouses. Steaks were very plain and not seasoned or aired correctly, they were very lacking in flavour. The sides were very beige and poor quality. The salad was simply lettuce leaves and was gone off. Service was also very slow even though it wasn't busy. Service charge was too high and the overall bill came to £180 for 2 people. Goodman's needs to improve to keep up with the times, very disappointed and will not be returning.

It's my second time at Goodman's with my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was fantastic; friendly, warm, welcoming. And the steak was divine. I love the big board selection! The sides were good as well, as was the dessert. I will definitely be back again!

This steak house is the best I think in the area. The steaks are of the best cuts and all different varieties as per their board. Cooked to perfection, couldn't fault it when it comes to steaks but I felt there were a couple of things they had run out of on the menu but offered no replacements. I felt we ended up choosing things which we were not keen on. I half expected some alternatives at the prices we were paying hence in my eyes they have lost a star. But anything else I would say they were excellent. As far as the steaks go the best ... No doubt

I would have given 5 stars for service, however, with the exception of our waitress l, every other member of staff appeared disinterested and unhappy about being there. One particular individual even scowled at me every time I caught their eye and smiled! Although they were smiling at other patrons, so maybe it was just me.🤷🏼‍♂️ The food was not at the usual standard for Goodman’s. Both steaks were undercooked in the middle, the mac & cheese was only warm when it came out and was chewy. The chips were warm rather than hot and the batter on my prawn tempura tasted like a normal batter rather than a tempura batter, it was also soggy and falling off the prawns. My son had a 650g steak on the bone, but less than half of it was edible. It looked like it had been basted whilst cooking, which made it impossible to identify what was meat and which bits were fat. One piece he put in his mouth he described as ‘chewing a gum shield’. Overall, I won’t go back to Goodman’s and will wait for the Maddox street branch to reopen.

A last minute booking for two. A nice enough restaurant that got very busy within an hour of us being there. The starters (i had the prawns - 3 large prawns that were not cleaned properly so from one all the disgusting brown juices ruined the dish and husband had the lobster which was granually due to it not being cleaned properly either). Mains - we both chose steaks in excess of £100 each and again, both steaks were OK, not out of this world! £500 later, wouldn't go back in a rush. Plus point - our server was very good but sadly I don't remember his name to credit him.

You definitely need to order from The Cut (it's a board where they have all sorts of cuts of steak). Service was fantastic; the staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The steak was fantastic, as were the sides. And the Argentinian red wine we had was surprisingly good. We almost wished we ordered a bottle instead of just a glass. I will definitely come back again!

It was my son’s birthday and I think I chose a good restaurant . The steak was excellent and the service was so good . I have no hesitation in recommending this place. Only problem I had was finding it as the nav took me to roads with no access to the riverside. It is better to park away and get there on foot.
