We come a lot for dinner but this time we came for Brunch!!! It was great better then the first time. It is a must try!!!
Fun people, Food absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back!!
Switched servers, slow service at the end of dinner, bill wasn’t correct
Visit was okay, nothing exceptional as we were celebrating a birthday. We weren’t even asked what brought us in.
I love GC but I chose to go on a Sunday because I knew it wouldn't be as busy as it is on Friday and Saturday evenings so it was extremely quiet in comparison. It was good for being able to hang out with my family for my birthday and be able to talk to them and be able to hear them. We had a really good time. Food was excellent as always and the server for the evening was great. GC is a really nice place to go for great food.
Went for my birthday dinner with my fiancé and my parents, food was awesome and I got a very nice dessert. Definitely would recommend, we have been there multiple times and always receive good service and good food. Their steaks are really good!!
Very disappointed in recent visit to GC. Food was constantly running out & you had to ask if more was coming. Plates were out & people stood there in a line waiting for someone to notice. Food was just ok, fruit was not replenished at all. There were 8 of us and the area we sat in was too crowded, not enough space to get up and down. Our server was nice but we complained to her about all these issues. Donut bar was limited (chocolate only) and without any mini desserts, you had no choices. Won't be going back for awhile. As a regular customer, very disappointing.
Immediately seated upon arriving with choice of booth or table. Waitress was right over and very good with everything. Food was delicious as always.
The waitress was nice but didn’t fill our waters as much as she could have. Otherwise it was great!
We had a large party of family, including kids and small children. Our server Nikki, was right on top of things and so efficient! The food was delicious, as always...I am never disappointed. We all had a wonderful time and it went smoothly. I thank you Nikki and Granite City!
Everything we ordered they were out of, ie: Sirlion Steak. I ordered Pasta with asparagus and chicken, I got pasta with chicken "no asparagus", was told they were out after I ordered. Tried to order dessert, was told out of the cream brulee that I wanted. No adjustment was made to the bill. Was a disappointing New Year Day Dinner.
The fries came out drenched in salt. Requested new fries without salt. It took OVER 15 minutes to receive them and they were hot, but salted! I also had the BTA and it was blah, not great like in the past. The manager came over and offered to take 50% off my meal, because of the fries! I had her feel the new ones and she agreed they were salted. In light of this she took the whole “meal” off the bill. Terrible food and management. Server was pleasant.
We attended the New Year brunch at Granite City. We got the the buffet. It was fabulous! They had a omelet and doughnut bar. The Mac and cheese, has browns and French toast were tasty and the fruit was fresh. We will definitely go again!
Service was slow for the night. Holiday evening could of played into that.
My dinner was great but my son hated his burger and waffle fries. Burger was over charred and fries were somehow dry. ?? Don’t know how they accomplished this, maybe used air fryer to heat them. I think they do better with their appetizers than they do with dinner entrees. I would totally recommend their happy hour!
Service was great as well as atmosphere.
Our device turned out to be broken so we never knew the hostess was paging us that our table was ready. And there were fruit flies at our table. But otherwise enjoyed the NYE dinner special. The food was delicious!
Food was just average, nothing special. I was expecting a lot better meal, from the way they described your restaurant on WDIV Channel 4 news on dec. 27 on tv. We were disappointed.
Went there for NY's, Shawn (Sean?) the waiter was exceptional. Food was very good, the only thing is too many IPA's on the menu - some of us folks like a dark beer. The stout and the porter weren't all that good after a sample. But beer is also a preference - so maybe the porter or stout would work for others. But the waitstaff is very good and the decor is very nice.
We always have a good experience here. This time the bartender wasn't as good as we've had in the past but the food was delicious as always.
We were able to reserve a table for two on New Year's Eve for $39.99, which included an appetizer, two delicious entrees, and two savory desserts. I am so glad they emailed us an invitation and we were able to use Open Table to secure the reservation. We had a great evening. We love Granite City!
Almost everything is poorly prepared. Went for the food but kept being disappointed at every question. Only two soups on the menu and both made with chicken stock. Whoever heard of French onion soup made with chicken stock. Gag!! Salmon is the seafood, prepared two ways, totally overcooked. Prices way too high for bad food and reminds me of Europe where they charge for condiments. Dipping sauce for fries is $0.99! Totally not recommended!
We ate there for our New Year Eve's dinner. Service was great, food was delicious. I have eaten there previously, and will again.
Nice place to enjoy drinks and dinner with family and friends. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Made adjustments to the drinks flights on request. Had the cook redo the vegetarian meal which was spicy.
Love this place!!! The food was delicious, server was friendly and we were in and out in just over an hour!
Great lunch. Love the combos!
We always have a good experience here. Good food and drink for reasonable prices. We come back at least once a month!
We ate here on a Saturday night. It is a nice atmosphere and we all really enjoyed our food. The only negative is that the waitress did not mention happy hour or bring menus. She had already delivered a drink order to the table when I arrived and asked about happy hour. She seemed annoyed and said she didn't think she had time to put an order in before the end of happy hour and didn't make any effort to try. The rest of the group was very disappointed that happy hour was not offered or mentioned when they had arrived and had plenty of time to order.
The steak scampi was amazing. It was prepared well and tasted delicious. I’ll definitely have it again.
Made reservations through OpenTable and table available right on time. Food was delicious but cocktails a little pricey.
Visited on a Wednesday for lunch. Still very busy at 11:30a, but could have been the holiday office lunches that added to the crowd. Diverse menu. Mostly comfort food. Well prepared and presented. Service as not too attentive but still adequate. Can be noisy with a restaurant full of people.
bland, unremarkable beers. overcooked food. unattentive staff.
one of the worst visits to granite City we have ever had it since the day they open and I ate there once or twice a week. The server was just horrible I mean unbelievably rude I handed her my phone to show her coupon and she started scrolling through my phone just completely ridiculous. The food was cold and tasteless worst visit ever to this restaurant
Best prime rib on a brunch menu. Staff was outstanding.
I would choose a maybe for recommend, depending on what the person is looking for. For a young, noisy bunch looking for beer and appetizers it may be good.
I understand restaurants are noisy. I asked for a quiet area as my mother was hard of hearing and she was celebrating her 85th birthday. It was for a party of 11. I was assured this would be possible. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and we could not even hear the person next to us. (most of us are not hard of hearing). the wait staff was very good. The hostess and greeters at the door were rude and very dismissive. It was a very expensive meal for the quality of the environment and the food.
we had a very nice time.
Just one suggestion - it's Michigan
We have winter - no place to hang coats and no seat backs on bar stools - makes it difficult to be comfortable
Good food fair prices!
Our server was a little forgetful but she was very nice and attentive. The food was good. The drinks were good too.
We were sat right next to the kitchen even though we had requested High Top seating which ruined the ambiance for us! The beer was good, but the server kept bugging us to order when we wanted to have a beer first. My wifes meat loaf was tough and not very tastey and my steak salad was nothing special. Expensive for what you get.
Great staff, friendly and understanding. Kinda loud at times, high top area seemed cramped when busy. Brought a date here and the wait staff was very understanding and timely in asking if we needed anything.
A little on the pricier side for regular visits, but the decent selection of craft brews and interesting meal options make it worth checking out.
