Granite City Food & Brewery - Troy Ratings and Reviews
Once again, the food is great, the new is cold, and the service is excellent. But the noise makes it difficult to have a conversation.
I gave 4 stars for ambiance only due to the noise level. This place is loud! BUT, the servers work hard, the food it's very good (thanks to all of the cooks) ... it is worth the time and effort!
We had large party (9) in total. The staff accommodated us and service was great
The Jumbo Sea Scallops were swimming in the sauce and the risotto in the dish was almost non existent. For $23.95 there could have been more than 3 average sized scallops (they were not Jumbo!). A beer we ordered was 1/4 foam and nothing was done.
Too loud for a business lunch.
Loud and crowded on a Saturday night. Food was good.
I was less than pleased when i arrived at the restaurant with a reservation made through OpenTable and was told that i still had to wait 20 minutes.
Great beer, service, and burger!
a wide variety of interesting food choices, menu that all ages can find something to eat.... Beer selection is very good, and waiter was willing to give us "tastes" of a different beers....always appreciated!
We made reservations for NYE and they had so many openings! We called 6 times but no answer, however we were all set with a reservation. When we get there, the host staff rudely informed us that the kitchen was closed and our reservation was void. Next time, block off the times that people cannot book so you don’t have unhappy customers :)
Booked a reservation for 9:15pm on New Year’s Eve on the app. Showed up 10 mins early and the hostess of front said they are no longer serving food. I blame both the restaurant and the opentable app for allowing this to happen. I should never have been able to book a reservation if you MF Kitchen is closed.
The food was great, and the waitress was very professional and polite, keep up the good work.
Enjoyed the Christmas Feast! Pork loin amd prime rib was great! Staff great!
We love it at Granite City. Good beer, food and service
Christmas Eve dinner
The coffee was sub par for a brunch event. We were one of the first people and the coffee just might have been a day old. Warm and not good. Our server took care of it but that was our first impression. Line for omelette station was too long with only one man behind the table. He also cut the prime rib, so very poorly understaffed. The food was just ok. I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch.
Good food, GREAT SERVICE, fair price. I shall return....with friends !
Service far too slow. 2nd visit with subpar service. Food good though priced a little higher than similar restaurants.
Although it was rather loud during lunch, we had a nice team meal. Came here for Thanksgiving, with my family, too. It was delicious and we plan on going back next year.
Service and the food was great and there was no wait
Had reservations for 9. Arrived about 5 minutes prior to the reservation time then waited almost 20 minutes to be seated while they prepared a table for us. I might as well have never bothered with a reservation. Service was very slow after that. Pretty disappointing experience overall.
We were almost the only ones there- our waitress disappeared and by the time she came and got our orders and we got our meals many people who came after us were gone and done- very slow!! It got packed and we came early to avoid the crowds and slowness but that didn’t work. Business lunch so it was too slow for that!
Went for a birthday celebration for my grandson turning 21...had great
service...Wonderful food and beer..just a great day all the way
around..will recommend to all....
Good service. Food was decent, but not great. Nice ambiance with a sports bar/brewery feel.
I don't think they know what reservations mean. This is the third time I've come and had to wait 30or more minutes for a table and then experienced slow service. I told the waiter I was in a hurry cause it took so long to get seated (even when plenty of tables available), and he told me to just hold on because everyone is in a hurry.
Overall very good experience. They have an awesome veggie wrap. Wait staff was great, delivery from the kitchen a little slow.
Great place. Only complaint I had was that three of the pieces of steak in my salad were very fatty and inedible. Otherwise it was a good experience.
The flatbread wasn’t as I remember it.
Service terrible. Thanksgiving food was mediocre. Family of 5, salad only enough for 2 people. Bowl 1/3 filled. Just poor overall. Very dissapointed. Dr. Schock
Excellent thanksgiving spot , food was generous and delicious!
Thanksgiving at a restaurant is tricky, GC nailed it. 12 out of 10, really 🙌
Great Happy Hour! They gave me a nice cookie and ice cream for my birthday.
The food and drinks were delicious. Probably the best tasting grilled chicken ( on salad) I’ve ever tasted. Perfect!! The service was really great also. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and helpful with suggestions. This was my first time there but certainly not my last. I️ will be back soon!!
Great cheese potatos. With some nice local beers. One complain - beside the reservation we still needed to wait 20 minutes!!!
Granite City is always perfection, albeit a bit noisy. The pork nachos, meatloaf, and a 25oz Bennie is what keeps me coming back time and time again. I would easily recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone, and in particular this location as service is spot on. Please don’t ever change, GC!
Went with three friends for lunch. We each had a different entree and everyone was thrilled with their choices. Very good food and service.
Drinks and food were very good. We had a great time and a good server celebrating Sweetest Day 2017. It was our first time going to Granite City and we would definitely return. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos and I ordered the beef short ribs. We tried the assorted beers and I had the juicy watermelon martini. Yummy!
my friends had to yell at each across the table because of noise level. asked our server if music could be turned down. she said she's had to ask several times to no avail
