A very pleasant wind up to the summer/fall wine season.
My boyfriend and I went here for date night and were really pleased with our experience - the food & wine were delicious, service was amazing, and the ambiance was romantic but comfortable ... highly recommend!
The food is a mess on your plate - definitely not fine dining. When ordering a bottle that is sold by the glass they won’t let you taste a drop to see which bottle you’d like - I was told I could go upstairs to the tasting room- silly. The server was very blasé. I wouldn’t go back
Besides a friends get together, it was also our farewell to a winery we call "one of our favourites".
This was the third time I was at The Grapevine this week. Duck Confit twice! I love it. Sorry to see the restaurant close for the winter. I look forward to a new season in the spring.
We were seated indoors because it was raining out the day we had lunch there. The inside area is definitely not as nice as the veranda seating whicht has the spectacular view. The indoor dining area could be spruced up a bit. We had the duck confit, spaetzle and red cabbage. So glad they brought the red cabbage back as a side with the duck. The food was absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was Treena and I simply cannot say enough good things about her. She is very knowledgeable and super friendly. The courses were timed perfectly and we did not feel rushed. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant. The scenery reminds me of Lake Como in Italy.
One of my favourite places for both food and scenery as well as wine tasting afterwards. This time however I was a little disappointed with the special being seafood newburg. It was somewhat watery and the mussels in particular were very very tiny as well as over cooked. I hope this was onetime problem item as it was not inexpensive.
This was the second gathering of a former Dinner Club of friends and was as lovely as we remembered it.
A little let down when we first walked in, but don't let the decor fool you! Although our service was slow to start with, the waitress knew everything on the menu and made some great recommendations. The food was better than expected and prices were reasonable. This isn't the class of restaurant as some of the larger wineries, but I'm glad we tried it. Family friendly, relaxed, uncomfortable chairs....great view!
Fantastic food paired with excellent wines from Gray Monk.
Excellent food, great wine beautiful view. Took a long time, compared to everyone else to get main course, though others were having same as us
Great food the wine tasting was good. The outside flowers were outstanding! It was fun my sister and I bought Pinot Gris very good!
We are a busy family! The restaurant / patio and service was a great way to escape and celebrate my son's Birthday! Our waitress was fabulous and we appreciated the service.
Very popular restaurant. Great service. Excellent food selection. Such a treat!
This is the fourth time we have been to Gray Monk and have never been disappointed. Wonderful food and great staff
