The food was outstanding. Our very knowledgable server detailed the finer points of the variou dishes and waited patiently for us to make decisions. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. It was an excellent birthday treat for a friend despite the heavy smoke cover which prevented outdoor dining and enjoyment of the normally fantastic view.
Had dinner with friends and relatives. Everything was great. At our table we had sea food, bison, vegetarian, & chicken. Everyone in our party was very impressed. And the deserts, also the best. We are very impressed. Comes with a truly spectacular view. The best.
A very scenic patio dining location with excellent menu items. The charcuterie plate with wine flight was an amazing pairing. The flavours were well balanced. This patio can accommodate both family friendly and romantic date night diners. This restaurant is only 30 minutes away from Kelowna.
The wine there is the best and reasonably priced. The food is great, I had the saffron seafood pasta. The server was excellent and even gave my boyfriend free dessert for his birthday.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The food was prepared and presented with care. The views of the lake are unobstructed and glorious.
I've been there many times with friends and family. The chefs really know how to cook!! Fresh local veggies and meat. Innovative menu and soul comforting food. And they offer gluten-free options with regular menu items. The wine, of course, is top notch!
Beautiful setting and view -
Food was flavourful and good portions - outstanding service
We stopped in Kelowna on our way back home to Seattle after a trip to Banff. I had looked for wineries on line and read about this place. We made reservations a week before our visit. We were so pleased with everything about this place. The winery, the views, the staff and the fabaulous food. I cannot say enough. If we travel back this way we will definitely be stopping here again. If you are anywhere near stop and enjoy!
A friend recommended the restaurant so we made a reservation and included your place in our 3-day Okanagan trip. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great and was far below our expectations. Service, location, ambiance were all very good so we were surprised. Enjoyed the wine though.
Always a great experience here. Lunch or dinner is always a treat
Our server was awesome, very quick, attentive and friendly. Our food was amazing and came out very quick and well presented. The views were beautiful. Overall great experience
Fantastic....service and food. Great attention to detail.
Was a great meal! Would go back. Great cheese selection on the cheese board. My favorite wine was THe odyssey merlot
A must if you get to wine country! The food is spectacular!
On our recent 10 day trip from Seattle which included stops in Montana and in Calgary, we ate at many fine restaurants, but yours was the best, hands down. The food was lovely - preparation of our vegetable charcuterie and chicken entree were creatively and deliciously prepared. The view was the best I've seen since our trip to Europe, 2 years ago. In fact, I'd say it is actually equal to, or better than those we saw in Germany, Switzerland and France. We shall return!
Always a pleasure to eat at Grey Monk whatever the occasion, great place to take visitors .
Great view, food, wine and staff! The Pinot noir was lovely and it was great to be able to go upstairs and buy some bottles. We can recommend the duck confit and Riesling chicken bratwurst.
The view is phenomenal.
The duck and fish were dry, according to my friends. But the desserts were great!
Amazing afternoon of wine tasting, good food with great friends. All the staff where knowledgeable and very friendly. Our server has worked there for 14 years, that’s says a lot about the place I think. I really recommend this place
we visit every year - the view is nice but the cost of food is just a little high 24.00 for a burger (not so much)
Always an amazing experience, some of the best food we’ve ever had. Beautiful wine pairings from the winery. Gorgeous view over the lake and vineyard, very romantic for a date night. The service is always exceptional, and every time we visit the Okanagan, we will be sure to go for a lovely dinner.
Very very enjoyable! Great view! Worth the drive there!Excellent food
Our waitress Treena was superb, loved her energy and eagerness to provide exceptional customer service. We will definitely go back! Oh and the food was awesome as well! 😊 all around great food experience!
Patio was beautiful, but a little warm. Food was average; we ordered two different entrees but they arrived looking almost identical ( same green beans, purée and mashed potatoes). It would have been nice to have some fresh local vegetables. Service was awesome! Selection of wines was great!
Beautiful setting and fantastic food and service. Just happened to be there on a hot summer night and the patio was way too hot to fully enjoy the evening. Some overhead fans /air movement would have been nice.
The experience was exactly what we were looking for. Our server and her co-workers really knew their product, they were all very polite and personable. I recommend dining here.
Service was superb. Views and food fabulous. The birthday girl was given a lovely dessert on the house. Very accoomodating to keep us comfortable when the sun was shining on us. Delicious wines.
The meal, service and ambiance was perfect for our 21st wedding anniversary. They even provided us with free dessert as a kind gesture. I love this restaurant and will attend for many years.
Quite good, but could be outstanding. The Grapevine Restaurant is definitely worth visiting if in the area. Make sure to get a tour of the Gray Monk Winery and have a tasting of some of their fantastic white varietals before going for dinner. The view from the patio in the restaurant is spectacular. The restaurant was fully open to the outside, so no "indoor" seating was available. This would have been a nice option considering the temperature was a balmy 36 degrees Celsius. Some of the food items that really stood out were: the Squeaky Tiger Prawns, Double Poke, Sable Fish Bowl, and a Croissant style Bread Pudding dessert. The "artisan bread" (baguette) that was served before the meal was very dry and a bit embarrassing for this calibre of a restaurant. Some beautiful grilled bread would have been appreciated, especially to accompany certain dishes including the Tiger Prawns to soak up some of the delicious sauces. Service was a bit distant and lacking.
Getting a little pricey now after having been many times over the years
As always a great meal and fantastic Okanagan location! Many thanks!
Extremely friendly staff, great loacation and ambiance, very tasty food, excellent presentation.
A mother-daughter moment that was exceptional. Good food, good wine and fabulous view.
Enjoyable evening at Gray Monk for a business dinner meeting. Food and service where great. Impressed our visitors from the south!
Thank you! It was terrific. We enjoyed having our lunch with the wine pairings.
Great view, reservations a must, go early to find parking.
As always, we had an amazing dinner here. The scenery is breathtaking and made even more spectacular because it was a perfect, hot, summer night. The wine was amazing, and the appetizers unique and fresh (Poke bowl and veggie charcuterie). We had everything from the vegetarian entree to the halibut special to the roasted Sperling chicken to the beef. Each and every dish was gorgeous and delicious. We didn’t want to leave. I could have sat on that patio staring at the scenery, with a glass of Auxerrois in my hand, for hours. Wonderful evening. My only teeny, tiny complaint is the chairs on the patio. They are very uncomfortable...Perhaps to prevent people like me from sitting on the patio for hours! I’m
Our server was a ton of fun. She was enthusiastic and made the experience memorable. Unfortunately the skies kept threatening to rain and we were drizzled on, but we stuck it out on the deck and it was lovely.
I have dined at the Grapevine Restaurant many times. This experience was as always wonderful- superb food, excellent service, magnificent view. A little pricey for my budget but well worth the money for an occasional visit. Highly recommend it.
One of the most beautiful patios anywhere. Gray Monk has some of the best wine served in the Okanagan Valley. Not only do you have all this you also will dine on delicious food presented and served in style. Imagine you're on the French Rivera or on an exotic shore and all in Canadian dollars. We go every time we're in town. A gorgeous treat.
