The food was delicious, every dish. My Redfish grilled not blackened was outstanding & the cauliflower side was great! We ate on the patio, weather was not hot, road noise was sometimes loud, but it was really very nice! Megan our server did a great job! will definitely be back w/ friends!!!

If you are a vegetarian, or just simply enjoy a delicious vegetable platter, this is the place to go. They serve the best vegetable platter I've ever enjoyed and I eat a lot of vegetables. My husband enjoyed the pork chop and it was also stellar. Attentive and friendly staff was the icing on the cake!

We enjoyed everything about Grassroots and can’t wait to go back, and also try some of the other restaurants in the group. The food was superb - I suggest taking the waitstaff’s suggestions. The service was also impeccable.

The food is always great at Grassroots! I had the Farmer’s Chopped Salad. Terrific- I will order it again. Just the thing for a warm night. It was a little too loud. Felt our conversation was shouting. We had three servers. Don’t know what that was about.

Several restaurants in Phoenix or Scottsdale would do themselves a favor by sending people out to this restaurant to dine and observe, what good Service means. I don’t think I’ve ever been here where I’ve gotten “poor” service. It is the most consistent restaurant I’ve been to and I’ve been to very high-end restaurants in both Phoenix and Scottsdale and no one comes close. The grits are still the best. I’ve tasted, even compared to some restaurants in southern states.

Diverse menu, large portions and fresh delicious food. Our table of four enjoyed everything we ordered which included the pork chop, BBQ brisket, Caesar salad and baby back ribs. The meat was super tender and full of flavor. Alecia was our server and she was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We highly recommend this local restaurant!

The food especially the Blackened Redfish was outstanding. The Ribs were plentiful and tasty, and the Chicken Caesar didn't disappoint. The waiter could have been friendlier and more attentive. We will be back

We have been eating here for years. It is good consistent food. However the menu hardly ever changes. It could use a refresh.highly recommend the Rotisserie Chicken, Blackened Redfish and most of their salads. Service is great and managers shine.

Not the best experience. 4 of our 7 entrees were luke warm at best, and my sister jumped when something crawled over her feet under the table inside. Not much of a response from the server other than “it’s probably gone now.” Gave a full 20% tip because the issues weren’t the servers’ fault.

We have eaten here many times before and the food, ambiance, and atmosphere is great. Unfortunately, our waiter Steven was unhappy that we were paying the bill using the QR code. He did not have confidence that we could handle a payment using our cell phone since we are 65+. The restaurant manger was sent to our table to tell us that our payment did not go through and we resubmitted it and it did go through. She indicated this happens frequently. The negative attitude with which this was handled was uncalled for. Actually, it did go through twice and my bank removed one of the charges. The entire payment experience was ageist and uncalled for and I will not be rushing back to eat here soon again.

We had always enjoyed visits to Grassroots and dined on April 30th and May5th. The first visit was as expected, food and service were great. On this last visit the service was good but the food was not up to their standards. The pork chop was very dry, and the ahi tuna on a salad was sparse and lacking any flavor. Not the way we wanted to end our trip to Scottsdale.

We went out in a double date to this place. Appetizers we ordered were the pork belly - delicious and the burrata. burrata came with amazing bread. Entres we ordered was the shrimp risotto ( my husband liked it a lot) I ordered the short rib and the other item was the pork ribs. Everything was cooked well. Great dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere.

First time back since covid. We sat outside, which was quieter except when a few show offs drove by. Service could have been a tad more attentive, but responsive to our slight wave. To clarify, we were the last table from the door also. Food was excellent (2 salmon w/salad, 1 miso salmon, 1 swordfish special). Wine selection incredible. Flowers Chardonnay by the glass!

I met a friend here for lunch, we sat outside, we did stay longer than we should, but we were catching up, etc.) Our server was kind and gracious, never made us feel that we had to move it along. Additionally, the drink refills kept a coming. The service here very attentive.
