The restaurant has a different feel to it but in a good way. The different look and feel really suits an airport hotel restaurant. The service was very good (although we did have to get the servers attention to get our cheques) but that could be because the restaurant was quiet (Sunday evening) and she was just letting us sit and visit, not rushing us. The food was very good as well.

This was my first , but not my last , experience at Halo. It was a perfect setting to say goodbye to a family member moving away. The service was excellent , attentive but not intrusive. The food was excellent , worth every cent. Parking was convenient and no charge to dine. PERFRCT. THANK YOU

I met a lady for a first date in the dining room. A very sweet server by the name of Ophelia was so incredibly helpful and made sure everything was just perfect. She arranged a table in one of the private alcoves, and even wing-manned for me by letting me know when the lady was showing up. Ophelia was completely attentive and was able to read us as to when we needed something, respecting our conversation and time together. She made it special enough (hopefully with a bit of help on my side...lol), that it led to a second and hopefully many more.

Really had a lovely evening. We like the decor and vibe of Halo ( we actually ate in the lounge) the meal was delicious and our server was outstanding. She really was very good and just made our dinner extra special. Excellent value for the quality of food and service. It’s an odd location for a dinner out (airport hotel) but we live close by. Will certainly visit again!

Met a friend to burn a 6 hourly layover, what a great place to sit back, catch up, have some qine and some great food the tandoori Flatbread was excellent, and the perogies!? Yep, perogies were delish. The dip that came with them.....outstanding.

This was our second visit to Halo. We decided to have lunch enroute to dropping our son of at the EIA. Halo has a pleasant vibe and management had taken the social distancing protocols to heart. Tables were widely spaced and sanitizing stations were plentiful prior to entering the dining area. The food was very good, and as usual the service was prompt. Wait staff was very friendly and courteous, and waived our parking charges in the Rennaissance Hotel parking lot. A very pleasant experience and we are planning on visiting the Halo restaurant again on our next trip away from Edmonton.

Enjoyed our Valentines dinner at Halo this evening. It was a super busy night!! Service was impeccable from arrival to departure. There was a 3 course menu offering a variety of choices for Valentines or the regular menu. We chose to go with the Valentines menu. You could close one of 2 appetizers and 1 of 3 entrees and everyone received the same dessert. We chose the scallops appetizer & beef tenderloin entree. Our meal was so good! The appetizer was lovely. Scallops were cooked to perfection. Our entree arrived after a bit of a wait, which we were told was going to happen by the manager ahead of time so we were prepared. It was worth the wait. Beef tenderloin was tender and cooked perfectly. Our server, Corey was experienced. He was attentive but not hovering. He was able to make wine recommendations that were spot on. Phong, (the manager I believe) made sure everyone was aware that there was going to be a wait for the food due to an unexpected influx of patrons. I would rather know than be left wondering what the hold up is. Very pleased we decided on Halo tonight. We have never been disappointed. Looking forward to our next meal at Halo.

We have eaten at Halo and stayed as hotel guests several times , we’ve taken friends here, celebrated birthdays and special occasions . Last night Valentine’s Day dinner was very disappointing. We chose to order off the menu instead of the fixed Valentine’s Day special. My husbands chicken wings were good as always and I was going to order my favorite cheese board . I learned it changed when the menu changed and had wasn’t interested in it and was told they didn’t even carry those assorted cheeses anymore so couldn’t swap the meat out for more cheese , that’s fair . So I sat hungry waiting for our mains for almost 1.5 hours . A host stopped by to tell me service was slow on purpose for Valentine’s Day so as not to feel rushed , ok I didn’t even ask but thanks for the info .. other tables that arrived after us were served appetizers and mains before us. When the mains came I was shocked to see three little flat shrimp tacos with 3 or 4 shrimp and some gloppy sauce inside . I actually opened them up to see what it was , I think I saw a black bean in one but I can’t be sure . I chose the lobster bisque for my side and was served it without a spoon and had to wait and flag down our server Cory. My husband ordered Chicken Truffle Supreme with pasta and it had absolutely zero flavour ! I tried a bite which was generous of him , as his serving was so small to begin with and offered him my lobster bisque to use as a sauce just to have something with flavour on it . We were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu and we took a peek but we decided we had spent too much time and money to be so unhappy and just wanted to leave and grab a bite elsewhere on the way home . We aren’t the type to return after a bad experience and we certainly won’t recommend Halo ever again. There’s just too many other good restaurants to spend our time and money in . You shouldn’t have to go to out to eat after you go out to eat !

This place is amazing. We have been celebrating most special occasions here with my husband for the last few years and are never disappointed. Great design and ambiance. The service is exceptional. Staff is friendly and go above and beyond every time. The food is incredible! I am vegetarian and the mushroom ravioli is one of my absolute favourite meals ever. The incredible mushroom flavor meeting the sun dried tomatoes in the sauce - delightful. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

We went to Halo to celebrate our anniversary with another couple. The food was phenominal. Cory was an excellent server who knew how much to stay around the table and how much to leave us private. We all had the chef's special, braised short ribs with gnocci. We were all impressed as the short rib melted in our mouths and exploded with flavour.

This place is amazing and I am always amazed it is not more busy. The design is very nice, elegant but hip. The cocktail list great, the service exceptional. We have never had a visit when the chef did not come out to ask himself how the food was or did not send a complimentary item to our table. They go above and beyond. The food is superb, just great presentation, superb flavor. Do yourself a favor and visit. You wont regret.

My husband and I went to Halo for our Valentines day dinner. The service was excellent. My husband had the rib steak and I had shrimp tacos. Both were very tasty. When we were finished, our server, Prince, brought us a heart shaped candle and a boxed piece of cake to take home. We also got a rose. An excellent evening!!
